- When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
- Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
- The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
- The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
- What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

- 이스라엘 백성이 이집트에서 나올 때, 야곱의 후손들이 외국 땅에서 나올 때,
- 유다는 여호와의 성소가 되었고 이스라엘은 그의 영토가 되었다.
- 홍해가 그들을 보고 달아나며 요단 강물이 물러가고
- 높은 산들이 수양처럼 뛰며 낮은 산들이 어린 양처럼 뛰었다.
- 바다야, 네가 어째서 달아났느냐? 요단강아, 네가 어째서 물러갔느냐?

- Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
- Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
- Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

- 높은 산들아, 너희가 어째서 수양처럼 뛰었느냐? 낮은 산들아, 너희가 어째서 어린 양처럼 뛰었느냐?
- 땅이여, 여호와 앞에서 떨어라. 야곱의 하나님 앞에서 떨어라.
- 그가 반석을 연못이 되게 하시고 단단한 바위에서 샘물이 솟아나게 하셨다.
