욥기 30:1-31:40

 욥은 현재 환난 가운데 있는 자신은 사람들의 조롱거리가 되었다고 비통하게 노래하면서, 하나님께서 자신을 고통 가운데 있게 하셨다고 하였다. 그리고 하나님께 부르짖으나 하나님께서 대답하지 아니하시므로 자신은 애통한 상태에 있다고 하면서, 하나님께서 자신의 정직함을 알기를 원하며 자신에게 대답해 주시기를 간구하였다.
  
  계속되는 욥의 독백(30:1-31:40)    
 
  1. But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
  2. Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was perished?
  3. For want and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.
  4. Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their meat.
  5. They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;)
  1. 그러나 이제는 나보다 젊은 자들이 나를 조롱하는구나! 그들의 아비들은 내 양을 지키는 개만큼도 못한 자들이다.
  2. 그들은 아무 기력도 없는 자들인데 그 손의 힘이 나에게 무슨 소용이 있겠는가?
  3. 그들은 제대로 먹지 못해 수척한 얼굴로 굶주린 배를 움켜쥐고 밤이면 거친 들을 방황하면서 마른 풀 뿌리를 씹으며
  4. 아무 맛도 없는 대싸리 뿌리까지 뽑아 먹는데
  5. 사람들은 도둑을 내어쫓듯이 고함을 질러 그들을 쫓아 버렸다.
  1. To dwell in the cliffs of the valleys, in caves of the earth, and in the rocks.
  2. Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they were gathered together.
  3. They were children of fools, yea, children of base men: they were viler than the earth.
  4. And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword.
  5. They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face.
  1. 그래서 그들은 지금 음산한 골짜기와 동굴과 바위 틈에서 살고 있으며
  2. 떨기나무 가운데서 짐승처럼 소리를 지르고 가시나무 아래 모여 있다.
  3. 이들은 어리석고 무식한 천민의 자식들로 자기 땅에서 쫓겨난 자들이다.
  4. 이제는 그들이 와서 나를 비웃고 있으니 내가 조롱거리가 되었구나.
  5. 그들은 나를 경멸하고 멀리하며 주저하지 않고 내 얼굴에 침을 뱉는다.
  1. Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.
  2. Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction.
  3. They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.
  4. They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me.
  5. Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud.
  1. 하나님이 나를 무력하게 하시고 나를 곤경에 빠뜨리셨으므로 이 젊은 자들이 내 앞에서 굴레 벗은 송아지처럼 날뛰고 있다.
  2. 이 형편없는 자들이 일어나 나를 대적하고 나를 넘어뜨리기 위해 내 앞에 함정을 파고 있다.
  3. 그들이 내 길을 막아 나를 파멸시키려고 하는데 그들을 막을 자가 없구나.
  4. 뚫린 성벽으로 밀어닥치는 적군처럼 그들이 무섭게 달려들고 있으니
  5. 내가 두려움에 압도당하는구나. 이제 내 위엄은 바람처럼 날아가 버렸고 내 행복은 구름처럼 사라져 버렸다.
  1. And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me.
  2. My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.
  3. By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
  4. He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes.
  5. I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hear me: I stand up, and thou regardest me not.
  1. 내 생명은 점점 시들어 가는데 나를 사로잡고 있는 것은 고통의 날들뿐이다.
  2. 밤이 되면 내 뼈가 쑤시고 아프며 그 고통이 끊이지 않는다.
  3. 밤새도록 엎치락뒤치락하다 보면 마치 하나님이 내 옷깃을 잡아 빙빙 돌려놓은 것처럼 내 몸이 옷에 둘둘 말려 있다.
  4. 하나님이 나를 진흙 가운데 던지셨으므로 내가 티끌과 재 같은 존재가 되고 말았다.
  5. 하나님이시여, 내가 주께 부르짖어도 주는 나에게 대답하지 않으시며 내가 주 앞에 섰으나 주께서는 아무 관심도 없이 그저 나를 바라보고만 계십니다.
  1. Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thyself against me.
  2. Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride upon it, and dissolvest my substance.
  3. For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.
  4. Howbeit he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though they cry in his destruction.
  5. Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor?
  1. 주는 나를 잔인하게 다루시고 주의 힘으로 나를 핍박하시며
  2. 나를 들어 바람에 날려가게 하시고 나를 태풍 속에 던져 넣으셨습니다.
  3. 나는 압니다. 주는 나를 죽게 하여 모든 생물을 위해 예비된 곳으로 나를 끌어가실 것입니다.
  4. 그러나 사람이 넘어질 때 어찌 손을 펴지 않겠으며 재앙을 만날 때 어찌 도와 달라고 부르짖지 않겠습니까?
  5. 내가 고생하는 자를 위해 울지 않았던가? 내가 가난한 자를 위해 근심하지 않았던가?
  1. When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.
  2. My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me.
  3. I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.
  4. I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.
  5. My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.
  1. 그러나 복이 오기를 기다린 나에게 화가 왔고 빛이 오기를 기다린 나에게 흑암이 오고 말았다.
  2. 내 마음이 번거로와 쉬지 못하는구나. 고통의 물결은 끊임없이 나에게 밀어닥치고 있다.
  3. 내가 햇빛도 없는 음침한 곳을 거닐며 대중 앞에 서서 도와 달라고 부르짖고 있으니
  4. 이리의 형제요 타조의 친구처럼 되고 말았다.
  5. 내 피부는 검어져서 껍질이 벗겨졌고 내 뼈는 열기로 타고 있으며
  1. My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep.
  1. 한때는 수금과 피리 소리를 듣던 내가 이제는 탄식과 통곡의 소리만 듣게 되었구나.
 
 
  1. I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
  2. For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
  3. Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
  4. Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
  5. If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;
  1. 내가 내 눈과 서약하였으니 어찌 처녀를 정욕의 눈으로 볼 수 있겠는가?
  2. 내가 만일 그렇게 한다면 위에 계신 전능하신 하나님에게 무엇을 기대할 수 있겠는가?
  3. 의롭지 못하고 악을 행하는 자에게는 하나님이 재앙을 내려 벌하실 것이 아니겠는가?
  4. 하나님은 내가 행하는 모든 일을 다 보고 계시며 내 걸음을 일일이 헤아리신다.
  5. 나는 거짓말을 한 적도 없고 다른 사람을 속인 일도 없다.
  1. Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know mine integrity.
  2. If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
  3. Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
  4. If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door;
  5. Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
  1. 만일 하나님이 나를 정직한 저울에 달아 보시면 나의 진실을 아실 것이다.
  2. 내가 만일 바른 길에서 벗어났다던가 아니면 눈으로 본 것에 마음이 끌려 죄를 범했다던가 또 내 손이 죄로 더럽혀졌다면
  3. 내가 심은 것을 다른 사람이 먹고 내가 기른 농작물이 뿌리째 뽑혀 못쓰게 되어도 할 말이 없을 것이다.
  4. 내가 만일 어떤 여자에게 마음이 끌려서 그녀의 문 밖에 숨어 그녀를 엿본 적이 있다면
  5. 내 아내가 다른 사람의 집에서 맷돌질을 하고 다른 사람의 침실에서 잠을 자도 마땅하다.
  1. For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges.
  2. For it is a fire that consumeth to destruction, and would root out all mine increase.
  3. If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;
  4. What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?
  5. Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
  1. 이런 죄는 반드시 형벌을 받아야 할 무서운 악이며
  2. 내가 가진 모든 것을 송두리째 삼켜 버리는 파괴적인 지옥불과도 같은 것이다.
  3. 내 종들이 나에게 불만을 말할 때에도 나는 그들의 말을 듣고 그들에게 정당한 대우를 해 주었다.
  4. 내가 만일 그렇게 하지 않았더라면 내가 어떻게 하나님을 대할 수 있으며 하나님이 나에게 그 일을 따지실 때 내가 무엇이라고 대답할 수 있겠는가?
  5. 나를 만드신 하나님은 내 종들도 만드신 분이시다.
  1. If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
  2. Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten thereof;
  3. (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided her from my mother's womb;)
  4. If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any poor without covering;
  5. If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
  1. 나는 가난한 자의 소원을 거절하거나 과부를 실망시킨 적이 없으며
  2. 나는 배불리 먹으면서 불쌍한 고아를 굶겨 본 적도 없다.
  3. 사실 나는 젊었을 때부터 고아들을 친자식처럼 돌보아 주었고 과부들을 보살펴 주었다.
  4. 나는 또 너무 가난해서 입을 것이나 덮을 것이 없는 사람을 보면
  5. 양털로 옷을 지어 입혔고 그들은 나에게 정성껏 복을 빌어 주었다.
  1. If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
  2. Then let mine arm fall from my shoulder blade, and mine arm be broken from the bone.
  3. For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure.
  4. If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence;
  5. If I rejoice because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had gotten much;
  1. 만일 내가 법정에서 나를 도와 줄 자가 있음을 알고 고아를 등쳐먹었다면
  2. 내 팔이 부러지고 어깻죽지에서 떨어져 나가도 할 말이 없을 것이다.
  3. 나는 하나님의 형벌을 무서워할 뿐만 아니라 그의 위엄이 두려워서도 감히 그런 짓을 할 수가 없다.
  4. 나는 돈을 신뢰하거나
  5. 재산이 많다고 기뻐한 적이 없으며
  1. If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
  2. And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:
  3. This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.
  4. If I rejoice at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:
  5. Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
  1. 또 하늘에 빛나는 태양이나 은빛 길을 걷는 달을 보고
  2. 은근히 마음이 끌려 손을 모아 그것들을 숭배해 본 적도 없다.
  3. 내가 만일 그런 짓을 했다면 이것 역시 재판을 받아야 할 죄이다. 그것은 내가 위에 계신 하나님을 배반한 셈이 되기 때문이다.
  4. 나는 나를 미워하는 자가 망하는 것을 보고 기뻐하거나 재앙을 만나 고통당하는 것을 보고 흐뭇한 표정을 지어 본 적도 없다.
  5. 사실 나는 어떤 사람을 죽으라고 저주하여 내 입술로 범죄한 적이 없다.
  1. If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
  2. The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller.
  3. If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:
  4. Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
  5. Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.
  1. 내 고기로 배를 채우지 않은 사람이 없다는 것은 내 집에서 일하는 자들도 다 아는 사실이다.
  2. 나는 나그네를 길거리에 자게 한 일이 없으며 길 가는 사람들을 위해 내 집 문을 항상 열어 두었다.
  3. 나는 다른 사람들처럼 내 죄를 숨겨 본 일도 없고 사람들이 하는 말을 두려워하지도 않았으며 내가 그들의 비웃음을 무서워하여 할 말을 못하거나 바깥 출입을 하지 못하고 집 안에만 틀어박혀 있은 적도 없었다.
  4. (33절과 같음)
  5. 누구든지 내가 하는 말을 들어라. 내가 하는 변명에는 조금도 거짓이 없다. 나는 전능하신 하나님이 내 말에 대답해 주시기를 원하고 있다. 만일 내 대적이 내가 인정할만한 소송장을 나에게 제시 할 수 있었다면
  1. Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me.
  2. I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him.
  3. If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise thereof complain;
  4. If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:
  5. Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
  1. 내가 그것을 어께에 메기도 하고 면류관처럼 머리에 쓰기도 했을 것이며
  2. 또 내가 행할 일을 일일이 다 그에게 말하고 내가 그를 왕족처럼 가까이 했을 것이다.
  3. 내 토지가 나를 향해 부르짖고 그 이랑이 눈물로 젖은 일이 있는가?
  4. 내가 만일 값을 지불하지 않고 그 농산물을 먹거나 소작인들을 굶어 죽게 한 일이 있다면
  5. 그 땅에 밀 대신 찔레가 나고 보리 대신 잡초가 나도 할 말이 없을 것이다.' 이렇게 해서 욥의 말이 끝났다
