호세아 9:1-11:12

 호세아는 하나님의 사랑을 배반하고 도덕적, 종교적 타락에 빠진 이스라엘의 죄를 지적하고 이로 인한 하나님의 책망과 심판을 선포하였다. 그는 금송아지를 숭배하고 이방을 좇음으로 결국 하나님을 떠난 이스라엘의 죄를 책망하면서 이 죄로 인해 전쟁과 하나님의 심판이 있을 것을 선포하고 회개를 촉구하였다. 그리고 이스라엘의 범죄에도 불구하고 하나님께서 그들을 끝까지 사랑하시어 남은 자들을 회복시키신다는 하나님의 약속을 전하였다.
  
  하나님의 책망과 심판(9:1-10:15)    
 
  1. Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
  2. The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.
  3. They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.
  4. They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.
  5. What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?
  1. 이스라엘아, 너는 이방 나라처럼 기뻐 날뛰지 말아라. 네가 네 하나님을 저버리고 모든 타작 마당에서 창녀짓을 하여 그 음행의 값을 좋아하였다.
  2. 타작 마당이나 포도즙틀이 이 백성을 먹이지 못할 것이며 그들에게 새 포도주도 떨어질 것이다.
  3. 그들은 여호와의 땅에 머물러 있지 못하고 이집트로 다시 갈 것이며 앗시리아에서 부정한 음식을 먹게 될 것이다.
  4. 그들은 여호와께 술로 전제를 드리지 못할 것이며 그들의 제사도 그를 기쁘게 하지 못할 것이다. 그들의 제물은 초상집 음식과 같아서 그것을 먹는 자는 다 더럽혀질 것이다. 그런 음식은 자기들만 먹어야 할 것이며 여호와의 성전에 제물로 드려서는 안 될 것이다.
  5. 너희가 명절과 여호와의 축일에 무엇을 하겠느냐?
  1. For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.
  2. The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.
  3. The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
  4. They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.
  5. I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.
  1. 너희가 멸망을 피해 달아나도 이집트가 너희를 모으고 멤피스가 너희를 장사할 것이다. 너희 은 보화가 찔레로 덮이고 너희 거처에는 가시덩굴이 퍼질 것이다.
  2. 형벌의 날이 왔고 보응의 날이 다가왔으니 이스라엘아, 이것을 알아라. 네 죄가 많고 네 적개심이 강하므로 예언자들이 바보 취급을 받고 영감받은 자가 미치광이 취급을 받고 있다.
  3. 예언자는 내 하나님과 함께 이스라엘을 지키는 파수꾼이지만 그의 모든 길에는 그물이 기다리고 있고 그의 하나님 집에는 적개심이 도사리고 있다.
  4. 그들이 기브아 시대처럼 몹시 타락하였으니 여호와께서 그들의 악을 기억하시고 그 죄에 대하여 그들을 벌하실 것이다.
  5. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '내가 이스라엘을 만났을 때 광야에서 포도를 만난 것 같았고 죄가 너희 조상들을 만났을 때 무화과나무에 처음 맺힌 열매를 보는 것 같았다. 그러나 그들이 바알-브올에 가서 우상에게 몸을 바쳐 자기들이 사랑하는 우상처럼 더러워졌다.
  1. As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
  2. Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!
  3. Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.
  4. Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
  5. All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
  1. 이스라엘의 영광이 새처럼 날아가 버릴 것이므로 출산하는 일이나 임신하는 일이 없을 것이다.
  2. 비록 그들이 자식을 기를지라도 내가 그 자식을 없애고 하나도 남기지 않겠다. 내가 그들을 떠날 때에 그들에게 화가 미칠 것이다.
  3. 내가 보기에 에브라임은 두로처럼 좋은 땅에 심겨졌으나 그가 자기 자식을 끌어다가 살인자들에게 넘겨 줄 것이다.'
  4. 여호와여, 저들에게 주소서. 무엇을 주시겠습니까? 저들에게 아이를 낳지 못하는 자궁과 젖 없는 유방을 주소서.
  5. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '그들의 모든 악이 길갈에서 시작되었으므로 내가 거기서 그들을 미워하였다. 그들의 행위가 악하므로 그들을 내 집에서 쫓아내고 내가 다시는 그들을 사랑하지 않을 것이다. 그들의 지도자들은 다 거역하는 자들이다.
  1. Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.
  2. My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
  1. 이스라엘 백성은 뿌리가 말라 열매를 맺지 못하는 나무와 같다. 만일 그들이 자식을 낳는다 해도 내가 그들의 귀여운 자식을 죽일 것이다.'
  2. 그들이 순종하지 않으므로 내 하나님이 그들을 버리실 것이다. 그들은 세계 여러 나라에서 방황하는 자가 될 것이다.
 
 
  1. Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
  2. Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.
  3. For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us?
  4. They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
  5. The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.
  1. 이스라엘 백성은 무성한 포도나무와 같아서 열매를 많이 맺는다. 열매가 많을수록 그들은 제단을 많이 만들고 그 땅이 아름다울수록 그들은 돌기둥의 우상을 아름답게 꾸민다.
  2. 그들의 마음이 거짓되므로 그들은 자기들의 죄에 대한 댓가를 받아야 한다. 하나님이 그 제단을 헐고 그 돌기둥의 우상을 깨뜨려 버릴 것이다.
  3. 그때 그들이 이렇게 말할 것이다. '우리가 여호와를 두려워하지 않았으므로 우리에게는 왕이 없다. 그러나 우리에게 왕이 있다고 해도 그가 우리를 위해서 무엇을 할 수 있겠는가?'
  4. 그들이 헛된 말을 하고 지키지도 않을 약속으로 계약을 맺으니 소송 문제가 밭 이랑에 독초처럼 야기되고 있다.
  5. 사마리아에 사는 사람들이 벧엘의 송아지 우상 때문에 두려워할 것이다. 그 백성이 슬퍼할 것이며 그 우상을 섬기던 제사장들도 슬퍼할 것이다. 이것은 사마리아의 영광이 떠났기 때문이다.
  1. It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
  2. As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water.
  3. The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
  4. O Israel, thou hast sinned from the days of Gibeah: there they stood: the battle in Gibeah against the children of iniquity did not overtake them.
  5. It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows.
  1. 그 송아지는 앗시리아로 옮겨져서 앗시리아 왕에게 선물로 바쳐질 것이다. 에브라임은 수치를 당하고 이스라엘은 그 우상을 부끄러워할 것이며
  2. 사마리아와 그 왕은 물거품처럼 사라질 것이다.
  3. 이스라엘 백성이 우상을 섬기는 악의 산당은 파괴되고 가시와 엉겅퀴가 자라 그 제단을 덮을 것이니 그들이 높은 산을 향하여 '우리를 가려라' 할 것이며 낮은 산을 향하여 '우리 위에 무너져라' 할 것이다.
  4. 여호와께서 말씀하신다. '이스라엘아, 너는 기브아 시대부터 지금까지 계속 범죄하고 있다. 기브아에서 악을 행하는 자들에게 전쟁이 들이닥치지 않았느냐?
  5. 내가 원하는 때에 너를 벌하겠다. 많은 민족이 모여서 너를 칠 것이다. 네가 범한 숱한 피에 대하여 너는 벌을 받을 것이다.
  1. And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.
  2. Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
  3. Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
  4. Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Betharbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.
  5. So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
  1. 이스라엘은 길들인 송아지와 같아서 곡식 밟기를 좋아하지만 내가 그 아름다운 목에 멍에를 메우고 보다 고되게 부려먹을 것이니 유다는 쟁기질을 하고 이스라엘은 써레질을 할 것이다.
  2. '너희는 자신을 위해 의의 씨를 심고 사랑의 열매를 거두어라. 너희 마음의 묵은 땅을 갈아라. 지금은 나 여호와를 찾을 때이다. 언젠가는 내가 너희에게 구원의 복을 쏟아 부어 주겠다.
  3. 너희는 악을 심어 악을 수확하고 거짓말의 열매를 먹었다. 너희가 너희 힘과 많은 병력을 의지하였으므로
  4. 너희 백성 가운데 내란이 일어나 너희 요새들이 파괴될 것이니 살만왕이 전쟁에서 벧-아벨을 파괴하던 때처럼 될 것이다. 그때 어머니와 자식이 함께 던져져 죽임을 당하였다.
  5. 너희 악이 크므로 너희도 벧엘에서 이런 일을 당할 것이며 전쟁이 시작되는 즉시 이스라엘 왕이 죽임을 당할 것이다.'
 
  신실하신 사랑(11:1-11:12)    
 
  1. When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.
  2. As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.
  3. I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
  4. I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
  5. He shall not return into the land of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
  1. '이스라엘이 어렸을 때 내가 그를 내 아들처럼 사랑하여 이집트에서 불러내었다.
  2. 그러나 내가 그를 부를수록 그는 점점 더 멀리 나를 떠나 바알에게 제사하며 그 우상들에게 분향하였다.
  3. 내가 이스라엘에게 걷는 법을 가르치고 내 팔로 그를 안았으나 내가 그를 돌보고 있음을 그는 알지 못하였다.
  4. 내가 그 백성을 사랑의 줄로 이끌며 그들의 목에서 멍에를 벗기고 내가 구부려서 그들을 먹였다.
  5. 그들이 나에게 돌아오기를 싫어하므로 그들은 이집트로 돌아갈 것이며 또 앗시리아의 지배를 받을 것이다.
  1. And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.
  2. And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
  3. How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
  4. I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
  5. They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
  1. 전쟁으로 그들의 성들이 파괴되고 성문들이 부서질 것이며 그들이 칼날에 죽임을 당할 것이다. 이것은 그들이 자기들 멋대로 하기 때문이다.
  2. 내 백성이 내게서 떠나기로 결심하였으므로 내가 그들에게 종의 멍에를 씌웠다. 그들이 나에게 부르짖어도 그 멍에를 벗겨 줄 자가 없을 것이다.
  3. 이스라엘아, 내가 어떻게 너를 포기할 수 있으며 내가 어떻게 너를 버릴 수 있느냐? 어떻게 내가 너를 아드마같이 대할 수 있으며 어떻게 너를 스보임처럼 되게 할 수 있겠느냐? 내 마음이 내 속에서 돌아서니 네가 불쌍하다는 생각이 불붙듯 일어나는구나.
  4. 내가 다시는 나의 분노로 너를 벌하지 않고 내가 다시는 이스라엘을 멸하지 않을 것이다. 이것은 내가 사람이 아니라 하나님이기 때문이다. 나는 너와 함께 하는 거룩한 자이므로 내가 분노로 너에게 나아가지 않을 것이다.
  5. 내 백성은 나 여호와를 따를 것이다. 내가 사자처럼 소리를 발하면 그들이 서쪽에서 달려올 것이다.
  1. They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
  2. Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
  1. 그들이 이집트에서 새같이, 앗시리아에서 비둘기같이 떨며 올 것이다. 내가 그들을 자기들의 집에 머물게 하겠다. 이것은 나 여호와의 말이다.'
  2. 이스라엘 백성은 거짓말과 속임수로 나를 둘러싸고 유다 백성은 신실하시고 거룩하신 하나님을 여전히 거역하고 있다.
