- Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
- But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
- And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
- The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
- Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

- 복 있는 사람은 악인의 꾀를 따르지 아니하며, 죄인의 길에 서지 아니하며, 오만한 자의 자리에 앉지 아니하며,
- 오로지 주님의 율법을 즐거워하며, 밤낮으로 율법을 묵상하는 사람이다.
- 그는 시냇가에 심은 나무가 철따라 열매를 맺으며 그 잎이 시들지 아니함 같으니, 하는 일마다 잘 될 것이다.
- 그러나 악인은 그렇지 않으니, 한낱 바람에 흩날리는 쭉정이와 같다.
- 그러므로 악인은 심판받을 때에 몸을 가누지 못하며, 죄인은 의인의 모임에 참여하지 못한다.
