창세기 9:1-10:32

 하나님께서는 노아와 그 아들들에게 생육과 번성의 복을 주셨으며, 다시는 홍수로 세상을 심판하지 않겠다는 약속의 증거로 무지개를 주셨다. 후에 노아는 자신의 술 취해 벗은 모습을 보고 희롱거리로 만든 함의 자손 가나안을 저주하였다. 셈과 함과 야벳의 자손이 번창하여 각기 방언과 종족과 나라대로 살게 됨으로써 땅의 열국 백성이 나뉘었다.
  
  노아의 언약(9:1-9:29)    
 
  1. And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
  2. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
  3. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
  4. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
  5. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
  1. 하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들에게 복을 주시며 말씀하셨다. "생육하고 번성하여 땅에 충만하여라.
  2. 땅에 사는 모든 짐승과, 공중에 나는 모든 새와, 땅 위를 기어다니는 모든 것과, 바다에 사는 모든 물고기가, 너희를 두려워하며, 너희를 무서워할 것이다. 내가 이것들을 다 너희 손에 맡긴다.
  3. 살아 움직이는 모든 것이 너희의 먹거리가 될 것이다. 내가 전에 푸른 채소를 너희에게 먹거리로 준 것 같이, 내가 이것들도 다 너희에게 준다.
  4. 그러나 고기를 먹을 때에, 피가 있는 채로 먹지는 말아라. 피에는 생명이 있다.
  5. 생명이 있는 피를 흘리게 하는 자는, 내가 반드시 보복하겠다. 그것이 짐승이면, 어떤 짐승이든지, 그것에게도 보복하겠다. 사람이 같은 사람의 피를 흘리게 하면, 그에게도 보복하겠다.
  1. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
  2. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
  3. And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
  4. And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
  5. And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
  1. 사람은 하나님의 형상대로 지음을 받았으니, 누구든지 사람을 죽인 자는 죽임을 당할 것이다.
  2. 너희는 생육하고 번성하며 땅에 편만하여, 거기에서 번성하여라."
  3. 하나님이 노아와 그의 아들들에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. "이제 내가 너희와 너희 뒤에 오는 자손에게 직접 언약을 세운다.
  5. 너희와 함께 있는 살아 숨쉬는 모든 생물, 곧 너와 함께 방주에서 나온 새와 집짐승과 모든 들짐승에게도, 내가 언약을 세운다.
  1. And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
  2. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
  3. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
  4. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
  5. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
  1. 내가 너희와 언약을 세울 것이니, 다시는 홍수를 일으켜서 살과 피가 있는 모든 것들을 없애는 일이 없을 것이다. 땅을 파멸시키는 홍수가 다시는 일어나지 않을 것이다."
  2. 하나님이 말씀하셨다. "내가, 너희 및 너희와 함께 있는 숨쉬는 모든 생물 사이에 대대로 세우는 언약의 표는,
  3. 바로 무지개이다. 내가 무지개를 구름 속에 둘 터이니, 이것이 나와 땅 사이에 세우는 언약의 표가 될 것이다.
  4. 내가 구름을 일으켜서 땅을 덮을 때마다, 무지개가 구름 사이에서 나타나면,
  5. 나는, 너희와 숨쉬는 모든 짐승 곧 살과 피가 있는 모든 것과 더불어 세운 그 언약을 기억하고, 다시는 홍수를 일으켜서 살과 피가 있는 모든 것을 물로 멸하지 않겠다.
  1. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
  2. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
  3. And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
  4. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
  5. And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
  1. 무지개가 구름 사이에서 나타날 때마다, 내가 그것을 보고, 나 하나님이, 살아 숨쉬는 모든 것들 곧 땅 위에 있는 살과 피를 지닌 모든 것과 세운 영원한 언약을 기억하겠다."
  2. 하나님이 노아에게 말씀하셨다. "이것이, 내가, 땅 위의 살과 피를 지닌 모든 것과 더불어 세운 언약의 표다."
  3. 방주에서 나온 노아의 아들은 셈과 함과 야벳이다. 함은 가나안의 조상이 되었다.
  4. 이 세 사람이 노아의 아들인데, 이들에게서 인류가 나와서, 온 땅 위에 퍼져 나갔다.
  5. 노아는, 처음으로 밭을 가는 사람이 되어서, 포도나무를 심었다.
  1. And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
  2. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
  3. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
  4. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
  5. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
  1. 한 번은 노아가 포도주를 마시고 취하여, 자기 장막 안에서 아무것도 덮지 않고, 벌거벗은 채로 누워 있었다.
  2. 가나안의 조상 함이 그만 자기 아버지의 벌거벗은 몸을 보았다. 그는 바깥으로 나가서, 두 형들에게 알렸다.
  3. 셈과 야벳은 겉옷을 가지고 가서, 둘이서 그것을 어깨에 걸치고, 뒷걸음쳐 들어가서, 아버지의 벌거벗은 몸을 덮어 드렸다. 그들은 아버지의 벌거벗은 몸을 보지 않으려고 얼굴을 돌렸다.
  4. 노아는 술에서 깨어난 뒤에, 작은 아들이 자기에게 한 일을 알고서,
  5. 이렇게 말하였다. "가나안은 저주를 받을 것이다. 가장 천한 종이 되어서, 저의 형제들을 섬길 것이다."
  1. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
  2. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
  3. And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
  4. And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.
  1. 그는 또 말하였다. "셈의 주 하나님은 찬양받으실 분이시다. 셈은 가나안을 종으로 부릴 것이다.
  2. 하나님이 야벳을 크게 일으키셔서, 셈의 장막에서 살게 하시고, 가나안은 종으로 삼아서, 셈을 섬기게 하실 것이다."
  3. 홍수가 있은 뒤에도, 노아는 삼백오십 년을 더 살았다.
  4. 노아는 모두 구백오십 년을 살고 죽었다.
 
  지상에 퍼진 민족들(10:1-10:32)    
 
  1. Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
  2. The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
  3. And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
  4. And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
  5. By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
  1. 다음은 노아의 아들들의 족보이다. 노아의 아들은 셈과 함과 야벳이다. 홍수가 난 뒤에, 그들이 아들들을 낳았다.
  2. 야벳의 자손은 고멜과 마곡과 마대와 야완과 두발과 메섹과 디라스이다.
  3. 고멜의 자손은 아스그나스와 리밧과 도갈마이다.
  4. 야완의 자손은 엘리사와 스페인과 키프로스와 로도스이다.
  5. 이들에게서 바닷가 백성들이 지역과 언어와 종족과 부족을 따라서 저마다 갈라져 나갔다.
  1. And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
  2. And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
  3. And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
  4. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
  5. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
  1. 함의 자손은 구스와 이집트와 리비아와 가나안이다.
  2. 구스의 자손은 쓰바와 하윌라와 삽다와 라아마와 삽드가이다. 라아마의 자손은 스바와 드단이다.
  3. 구스는 또 니므롯을 낳았다. 니므롯은 세상에 처음 나타난 장사이다.
  4. 그는 주님께서 보시기에도 힘이 센 사냥꾼이었다. 그래서 "주님께서 보시기에도 힘이 센 니므롯과 같은 사냥꾼"이라는 속담까지 생겼다.
  5. 그가 다스린 나라의 처음 중심지는, 시날 지방 안에 있는 바빌론과 에렉과 악갓과 갈레이다.
  1. Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
  2. And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.
  3. And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
  4. And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
  5. And Canaan begat Sidon his first born, and Heth,
  1. 그는 그 지방을 떠나 앗시리아로 가서, 니느웨와 르호보딜과 갈라를 세우고,
  2. 니느웨와 갈라 사이에는 레센을 세웠는데, 그것은 아주 큰 성이다.
  3. 이집트는 리디아와 아남과 르합과 납두와
  4. 바드루스와 가슬루와 크레타를 낳았다. 블레셋이 바로 크레타에게서 나왔다.
  5. 가나안은 맏아들 시돈을 낳고, 그 아래로, 헷과
  1. And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
  2. And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
  3. And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
  4. And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
  5. These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
  1. 여부스와 아모리와 기르가스와
  2. 히위와 알가와 신과
  3. 아르왓과 스말과 하맛을 낳았다. 그 뒤에 가나안 족은 사방으로 퍼져 나갔다.
  4. 가나안의 경계는 시돈에서 그랄을 지나서, 멀리 가사에까지 이르렀고, 거기에서 소돔과 고모라와 아드마와 스보임을 지나서, 라사에까지 이르렀다.
  5. 이 사람들이 종족과 언어와 지역과 부족을 따라서 갈라져 나간 함의 자손이다.
  1. Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
  2. The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
  3. And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
  4. And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
  5. And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
  1. 야벳의 형인 셈에게서도 아들딸이 태어났다. 셈은 에벨의 모든 자손의 조상이다.
  2. 셈의 자손은 엘람과 앗수르와 아르박삿과 룻과 아람이다.
  3. 아람의 자손은 우스와 훌과 게델과 마스이다.
  4. 아르박삿은 셀라를 낳고, 셀라는 에벨을 낳았다.
  5. 에벨은 두 아들을 낳았는데, 한 아들의 이름은, 그의 시대에 세상이 나뉘었다고 해서 벨렉이라고 하였다. 벨렉의 아우 이름은 욕단이다.
  1. And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
  2. And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
  3. And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
  4. And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.
  5. And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.
  1. 욕단은 알모닷과 셀렙과 하살마웻과 예라와
  2. 하도람과 우살과 디글라와
  3. 오발과 아비마엘과 스바와
  4. 오빌과 하윌라와 요밥을 낳았다. 이 사람들이 모두 욕단의 자손이다.
  5. 그들이 사는 곳은 메사에서 스발에 이르는 동쪽 산간지방이다.
  1. These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
  2. These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
  1. 이 사람들이 종족과 언어와 지역과 부족을 따라서 갈라져 나간 셈의 자손이다.
  2. 이들이 각 종족의 족보를 따라 갈라져 나간 노아의 자손 종족이다. 홍수가 난 뒤에, 이 사람들에게서 여러 민족이 나와서, 세상으로 퍼져 나갔다.
 
  편만(遍滿, 9:7)  널리 퍼져 가득 참  
  영걸(英傑, 10:8)  강력한 세력을 지닌 자, 영웅 호걸
