- Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
- From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
- They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
- They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
- Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.

- 주님의 눈동자처럼 나를 지켜 주시고, 주님의 날개 그늘에 나를 숨겨 주시고,
- 나를 공격하는 악인들로부터 나를 지켜 주십시오. 나의 생명을 노리는 원수들이 나를 둘러싸고 있습니다.
- 그들의 몸뚱이는 기름기가 번드르르 흐르고 그들의 입은 오만으로 가득 차 있습니다.
- 마침내 그들이 나를 뒤따라와 에워싸고, 이 몸을 땅바닥에 메어치려고 노려봅니다.
- 그들은 찢을 것을 찾는 사자와 같고, 숨어서 먹이를 노리는, 기운 센 사자와도 같습니다.

- Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:
- From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
- As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

- 주님, 일어나십시오. 그들을 대적하시고, 굴복시키십시오. 주님께서 칼을 드셔서, 악인에게서 나의 생명을 구하여 주십시오.
- 주님, 이 세상에서 받을 몫을 다 받고 사는 자들에게서 나를 구해 주십시오. 주님께서 몸소 구해 주십시오. 그들은 주님께서 쌓아 두신 재물로 자신들의 배를 채우고 남은 것을 자녀에게 물려주고 그래도 남아서 자식의 자식들에게까지 물려줍니다.
- 나는 떳떳하게 주님의 얼굴을 뵙겠습니다. 깨어나서 주님의 모습 뵈올 때에 주님과 함께 있는 것만으로도 내게 기쁨이 넘칠 것입니다.
