- The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
- When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
- Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
- One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.
- For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

- 주님이 나의 빛, 나의 구원이신데, 내가 누구를 두려워하랴? 주님이 내 생명의 피난처이신데, 내가 누구를 무서워하랴?
- 나의 대적자들, 나의 원수들, 저 악한 자들이, 나를 잡아먹으려고 다가왔다가 비틀거리며 넘어졌구나.
- 군대가 나를 치려고 에워싸도, 나는 무섭지 않네. 용사들이 나를 공격하려고 일어날지라도, 나는 하나님만 의지하려네.
- 주님, 나에게 단 하나의 소원이 있습니다. 나는 오직 그 하나만 구하겠습니다. 그것은 한평생 주님의 집에 살면서 주님의 자비로우신 모습을 보는 것과, 성전에서 주님과 의논하면서 살아가는 것입니다.
- 재난의 날이 오면, 주님의 초막 속에 나를 숨겨 주시고, 주님의 장막 은밀한 곳에 나를 감추시며, 반석 위에 나를 올려서 높여 주실 것이니,
