- The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
- The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.
- The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
- The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
- Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

- 의인의 입은 지혜를 말하고, 그의 혀는 공의를 말한다.
- 그의 마음 속에 하나님의 법이 있으니, 그의 발걸음이 흔들리지 않는다.
- 악인이 의인을 엿보며 그를 죽일 기회를 노리지만,
- 주님은 의인을 악인의 손아귀에 버려 두지 않으시며, 판결을 내리실 때에 의인에게 유죄를 선고하지 않으실 것이다.
- 주님을 기다리며, 주님의 법도를 지켜라. 주님께서 너를 높여 주시어 땅을 차지하게 하실 것이니, 악인들이 뿌리째 뽑히는 모습을 네가 보게 될 것이다.

- I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
- Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.
- Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.
- But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.
- But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

- 악인의 큰 세력을 내가 보니, 본고장에서 자란 나무가 그 무성한 잎을 뽐내듯 하지만,
- 한순간이 지나고 다시 보니, 흔적조차 사라져, 아무리 찾아도 그 모습 찾아볼 길 없더라.
- 흠 없는 사람을 지켜 보고, 정직한 사람을 눈여겨 보아라. 평화를 사랑하는 사람에게는 미래가 있으나,
- 범죄자들은 함께 멸망할 것이니, 악한 자들은 미래가 없을 것이다.
- 의인의 구원은 주님께로부터 오며, 재난을 받을 때에, 주님은 그들의 피난처가 되신다.

- And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.

- 주님이 그들을 도우셔서 구원하여 주신다. 그들이 주님을 피난처로 삼았기에, 그들을 악한 자들에게서 건져내셔서 구원하여 주신다.
