민수기 8:1-9:23

 하나님을 섬기기 위해 레위인은 죄로부터 정결케 되는 의식을 행하였다. 회막에서 봉사하는 레위인들의 연령은 25세부터 50세까지였다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘 자손들에게 유월절 행사를 지키도록 명령하셨고, 40년 광야 생활 동안 불과 구름 기둥으로 인도하셨다.
  
  레위인의 성결(8:1-8:26)    
 
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  2. Speak unto Aaron and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.
  3. And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.
  4. And this work of the candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the candlestick.
  5. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  1. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "아론에게 말하여라. 너는 그에게, 등잔을 밝힐 때에는, 등잔 일곱 개가 등잔대 앞 맞은쪽을 비추게 차려 놓으라고 일러라."
  3. 아론은 그대로 하여 주님께서 모세에게 명하신 대로, 등잔이 등잔대 앞 맞은쪽을 비추게 차려 놓았다.
  4. 등잔대는 금을 두드려서 만들었다. 줄기뿐만 아니라 꽃잎 모양 받침도, 모두 망치로 두드려서 만들었다. 주님께서 모세에게 보여 주신 견본대로 등잔대를 만들었다.
  5. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  1. Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
  2. And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.
  3. Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin offering.
  4. And thou shalt bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together:
  5. And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:
  1. "너는 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 레위 사람을 데려다가, 그들을 정결하게 하여라.
  2. 그들을 정결하게 할 때에는 이렇게 하여라. 속죄의 물을 그들에게 뿌린 다음에, 온몸의 털을 삭도로 다 밀고, 옷을 빨아 입게 하면, 그들은 정결하게 된다.
  3. 그들더러 수송아지 한 마리를 번제물로 가져 오게 하고, 곡식제물로는 기름에 반죽한 고운 밀가루를 가져 오게 하여라. 너는 다른 수송아지 한 마리를 가져다 속죄제물로 삼아라.
  4. 그리고 너는 레위 사람을 회막 앞에 세우고, 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중을 모아라.
  5. 네가 레위 사람을 주 앞에 세우면, 이스라엘 자손이 레위 사람에게 그들의 손을 얹을 것이다.
  1. And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD.
  2. And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.
  3. And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.
  4. Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
  5. And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.
  1. 그러면 아론이 이스라엘 자손을 위하여 레위 사람을 흔들어 바치는 제물로 주 앞에 바쳐야 한다. 이렇게 한 다음에야, 레위 사람이 주를 섬기는 일을 맡아 할 수 있다.
  2. 너는, 레위 사람이 수송아지 머리 위에 손을 얹은 다음에, 한 마리는 속죄제물로, 한 마리는 번제물로 나 주에게 바쳐서, 레위 사람의 죄를 속하도록 하여라.
  3. 너는 또 레위 사람을 아론과 그의 아들들 앞에 세우고, 나 주에게 흔들어 바치는 제물로 그들을 바쳐라.
  4. 이렇게 하여, 너는 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 레위 사람을 따로 갈라 세워야 한다. 그러면 레위 사람은 나의 것이 된다.
  5. 네가 이렇게 레위 사람을 정결하게 하고, 흔들어 바치는 제물로 그들을 바친 다음에야, 그들은 맡은 일을 하러 회막에 나아갈 수 있다.
  1. For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
  2. For all the firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.
  3. And I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn of the children of Israel.
  4. And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
  5. And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
  1. 이스라엘 자손 가운데서, 레위 사람은 온전히 나에게 바쳐진 사람이다. 모태를 처음 열고 나온 모든 맏이 대신에, 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 그들을 나의 것으로 삼았다.
  2. 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 모든 맏이는 나의 것이다. 사람뿐만 아니라 짐승도 마찬가지이다. 내가 이집트 땅에서 모든 맏이를 쳐서 죽이던 날, 내가 그들을 나의 몫으로 거룩하게 구별하였다.
  3. 나는, 이스라엘 자손 가운데서, 모든 맏이 대신에, 레위 사람을 나의 것으로 삼았다.
  4. 내게 바쳐진 그 레위 사람을, 이제 내가 이스라엘 자손 가운데서 구별하여, 이스라엘 자손을 대신하여 회막에서 맡은 일을 하게 하려고, 또 이스라엘 자손의 죄를 속하여 주어, 이스라엘 자손이 성소에 접근할 때에라도 재앙을 받지 않게 하려고, 아론과 그의 자손에게 레위 사람을 주었다."
  5. 모세와 아론과 이스라엘 자손 온 회중은, 주님께서 모세를 시켜 레위 사람에게 해주라고 지시하신 대로, 레위 사람에게 다 해주었다. 이스라엘 자손이 그들에게 그대로 해주었다.
  1. And the Levites were purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an atonement for them to cleanse them.
  2. And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the LORD had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
  3. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  4. This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:
  5. And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall serve no more:
  1. 레위 사람은 죄를 벗어 자신들을 정결하게 하고, 옷을 빨아 입었다. 아론은 그들을 주님 앞에 흔들어 바치는 제물로 바쳤고, 그들의 죄를 속하여 그들을 정결하게 하였다.
  2. 그렇게 하고 나서, 비로소 레위 사람은, 아론과 그의 아들들이 보는 데에 나서서, 그들이 맡은 회막 일을 할 수 있었다. 주님께서 모세를 시켜, 레위 사람에게 해주라고 지시하신 그대로, 그들에게 다 해주었다.
  3. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  4. "레위 사람에게는 다음과 같은 법이 적용된다. 스물다섯 살이 되는 남자는, 회막에 들어와서 맡은 일을 하기 시작한다.
  5. 쉰 살부터는 회막 일을 하지 않는다.
  1. But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.
  1. 다만 그들은, 동료들이 회막에서 맡은 직무를 수행할 때에 그들을 도울 수는 있어도, 그들이 직접 그 일을 맡아서 하지는 못한다. 너는, 레위 사람이 이와 같이 직무를 수행하게 하여라."
 
  유월절(9:1-9:23)    
 
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
  2. Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season.
  3. In the fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.
  4. And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.
  5. And they kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
  1. 이스라엘 자손이 이집트 땅에서 나온 이듬해 첫째 달에, 주님께서 시내 광야에서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "이스라엘 자손은 정해진 때에 유월절을 지켜야 한다.
  3. 그 정해진 때 곧 이 달 십사일 해거름에, 모든 율례와 규례에 따라서 유월절을 지켜야 한다."
  4. 모세는 이스라엘 자손에게 유월절을 지키라고 말하였다.
  5. 그래서 정월 곧 그 달 십사일 해거름에, 주님께서 시내 광야에서 모세를 시켜 명하신 대로, 모든 이스라엘 자손이 따랐다.
  1. And there were certain men, who were defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the passover on that day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day:
  2. And those men said unto him, We are defiled by the dead body of a man: wherefore are we kept back, that we may not offer an offering of the LORD in his appointed season among the children of Israel?
  3. And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.
  4. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  5. Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD.
  1. 그런데 주검에 몸이 닿아 부정을 타서, 그 날 유월절을 지킬 희생제물을 바칠 수 없는 사람이 생겼다. 그 날, 그들이 모세와 아론 앞으로 나와서,
  2. 모세에게 물었다. "우리가 비록 주검 때문에 부정을 타긴 했지만, 그렇다고 해도, 지정된 때에 이스라엘 자손이 주님께 제물을 바치는데, 우리만 못 바칠 까닭이 어디에 있습니까?"
  3. 모세가 그들에게 대답하였다. "기다리시오. 주님께서 당신들에게 어떻게 지시를 내리실지, 들어 봐야겠소."
  4. 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  5. "너는 이스라엘 자손에게 다음과 같이 일러라. 너희들이나 너희 자손들은, 주검을 만져 더럽게 되었을 때나 먼 길을 떠나 있을 때나, 모두 주 앞에 유월절을 지켜야 한다.
  1. The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
  2. They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it.
  3. But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
  4. And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
  5. And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
  1. 그러한 사람들은 다음 달 십사일 해거름에 유월절 예식을 행하면서, 누룩을 넣지 않고 만든 빵과 쓴 나물과 함께 유월절 양을 먹도록 하여라.
  2. 다음날 아침까지는 아무것도 남겨서는 안 되며, 희생제물의 뼈를 부러뜨려서도 안 된다. 유월절의 모든 율례대로 그렇게, 그들은 유월절을 지켜야 한다.
  3. 그러나 정결한 사람이나 길을 떠나지 않은 사람이 유월절을 지키지 않으면, 그 사람은 자기 백성에게서 끊어질 것이다. 나 주에게 바치는 제물을, 정해진 때에 가져 오지 않았기 때문이다. 그는 자기의 잘못에 대해 벌을 받아야만 한다.
  4. 너희들과 함께 살고 있는 외국인이 나 주에게 유월절을 지키고자 할 때에도, 그는 유월절의 율례와 규례를 따라야 한다. 그 땅에 몸붙여 사는 외국인에게나 그 땅에서 난 본토인에게나 같은 율례가 적용되어야 한다."
  5. 성막을 세우던 날, 구름이 성막, 곧 증거궤가 보관된 성막을 덮었다. 저녁에는 성막 위의 구름이 불처럼 보였으며, 아침까지 그렇게 계속되었다.
  1. So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
  2. And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
  3. At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.
  4. And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.
  5. And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
  1. 그것은 늘 그러하였다. 구름이 성막을 덮고 있었으며, 밤에는 그 구름이 불처럼 보였다.
  2. 구름이 성막 위로 걷혀 올라갈 때면, 이스라엘 자손은 그것을 보고 난 다음에 길을 떠났고, 구름이 내려와 머물면, 이스라엘 자손은 바로 그 자리에 진을 쳤다.
  3. 이스라엘 자손은 이렇게 주님의 지시에 따라 길을 떠났고, 또한 주님의 지시에 따라 진을 쳤다. 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있는 날 동안에는, 진에 머물렀다.
  4. 그 구름이 성막 위에 여러 날 동안 오래 머물면, 이스라엘 자손은 주님의 명을 지켜 길을 떠나지 않았다.
  5. 구름이 성막 위에 며칠만 머무를 때도 있었다. 그 때에는 그 때대로 주님의 지시에 따라서 진을 치고, 또 주님의 지시에 따라 길을 떠나곤 하였다.
  1. And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
  2. Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
  3. At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
  1. 구름이 저녁부터 아침까지만 머물러 있을 때도 있었다. 그럴 때에는 아침이 되어 구름이 걷혀 올라가면, 그들은 길을 떠났다. 낮이든지 밤이든지 구름만 걷혀 올라가면, 그들은 길을 떠났다.
  2. 때로는 이틀이나 한 달이나 또는 몇 달씩 계속하여 구름이 성막 위에 머물러 있으면, 이스라엘 자손은 그 곳에 진을 친 채 길을 떠나지 않았다. 그들은 구름이 걷혀 올라가야만 길을 떠났다.
  3. 이렇게 그들은 주님의 지시에 따라 진을 쳤고, 주님의 지시에 따라 길을 떠났다. 그들은, 주님께서 모세를 시켜 분부하신 대로, 주님의 명령을 지켰다.
