- Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
- My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
- Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
- He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
- They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

- 하늘아, 나의 말에 귀를 기울여라. 땅아, 나의 입에서 나오는 말을 들어라.
- 나의 교훈은 내리는 비요, 풀밭을 적시는 소나기다. 나의 말은 맺히는 이슬이요, 채소 위에 내리는 가랑비다.
- 내가 주님의 이름을 선포할 때에, 너희는 '우리의 하나님 위대하시다' 하고 응답하여라.
- 하나님은 반석, 하시는 일마다 완전하고, 그의 모든 길은 올곧다. 그는 거짓이 없고, 진실하신 하나님이시다. 의로우시고 곧기만 하시다.
- 그러나 너희가 하나님께 맞서 악한 짓을 하니, 수치스럽게도 너희는 이미 그의 자녀가 아니요, 비뚤어지고 뒤틀린 세대이다.

- Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
- Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.
- When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
- For the LORD's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
- He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.

- 어리석은 백성아, 이 미련한 민족아, 너희는 어찌하여 주님께 이처럼 갚느냐? 그는 너희를 지으신 아버지가 아니시냐? 너희를 만드시고 일으키신 분이 아니시냐?
- 아득한 옛날을 회상하여 보아라. 조상 대대로 내려온 세대를 생각하여 보아라. 너희의 아버지에게 물어 보아라. 그가 일러줄 것이다. 어른들에게 물어 보아라. 그들이 너희에게 말해 줄 것이다.
- 가장 높으신 분께서 여러 나라에 땅을 나누어 주시고, 인류를 갈라놓으실 때에 이스라엘 자손의 수효대로 민족들의 경계를 갈라놓으셨다.
- 그러나 주님의 몫은 그의 백성이니, 야곱은 그가 차지하신 유산이다.
- 주님께서 광야에서 야곱을 찾으셨고, 짐승의 울음소리만 들려 오는 황야에서 그를 만나, 감싸 주고, 보호하고, 당신의 눈동자처럼 지켜 주셨다.

- As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:
- So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him.
- He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;
- Butter of kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the fat of kidneys of wheat; and thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape.
- But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

- 마치 독수리가 그 보금자리를 뒤흔들고 새끼들 위에서 퍼덕이며, 날개를 펴서 새끼들을 받아 그 날개 위에 업어 나르듯이,
- 주님께서만 홀로 그 백성을 인도하셨다. 다른 신은 옆에 있지도 않았다.
- 주님께서 그 백성에게 고원지대를 차지하게 하시며, 밭에서 나온 열매를 먹게 하시며, 바위에서 흘러내리는 꿀을 먹게 하시며, 단단한 바위에서 흘러내리는 기름을 먹게 하셨다.
- 소젖과 양젖과 어린 양의 기름과, 바산의 숫양과 염소 고기와, 잘 익은 밀과 붉은 빛깔 포도주를 마시게 하셨다.
- 이스라엘은 부자가 되더니, 반역자가 되었다. 먹거리가 넉넉해지고, 실컷 먹고 나더니, 자기들을 지으신 하나님을 저버리고, 자기들의 반석이신 구원자를 업신여겼다.

- They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
- They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
- Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
- And when the LORD saw it, he abhorred them, because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.
- And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

- 그들은 이방 신을 섬겨서 주님께서 질투하시게 하였으며, 역겨운 짓을 하여 주님께서 진노하시게 하였다.
- 너희는 하나님도 아닌 신들에게 제사를 드렸다. 너희가 알지도 못하는 신들, 새롭게 나타난 새 신들, 너희 조상이 섬기지 않던 신들이다.
- 너희는 너희를 낳은 바위를 버리고, 너희를 낳은 하나님을 잊었다.
- 주님께서는 이것을 보시고 격분하셔서, 당신의 자녀들과 인연을 끊으시고서,
- 이렇게 말씀하신다. '그들에게 나의 얼굴을 숨기겠다. 그들이 마침내는 어떻게 되는지, 두고 보겠다. 그들은 타락한 세대, 진실이라고는 털끝만큼도 없는 자들이다.

- They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
- For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.
- I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.
- They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.
- The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.

- 우상을 섬겨서 나를 격분시켰고, 신이 아닌 것들을 신이라고 섬겨서 나의 질투에 불을 붙였다. 그러니 이제 나도, 내 백성이 아닌 딴 백성을 내 백성으로 삼아서, 그들의 질투심에 불을 붙이고, 어리석은 민족을 내 백성으로 만들어 그들을 격분시키겠다.
- 나의 분노에서 나오는 불꽃이 저 아래 스올까지 타들어 가며, 땅 위에 있는 모든 것들을 삼켜 버리고, 멧부리까지 살라 버릴 것이다.
- 내가 온갖 재앙을 그들에게 퍼붓고, 나의 화살을 모조리 그들에게 쏘겠다.
- 나는 그들을 굶겨서 죽이고, 불 같은 더위와 열병으로 죽이고, 짐승의 이빨에 찢겨서 먹히게 하고, 티끌 속을 기어 다니는 독사의 독을 그들에게 보내겠다.
- 바깥에서는 칼에 맞아 죽고, 방 안에서는 놀라서 죽으니, 총각과 처녀, 젖먹이와 노인, 모두가 다 같은 꼴을 당할 것이다.

- I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
- Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely, and lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
- For they are a nation void of counsel, neither is there any understanding in them.
- O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!
- How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?

- 본래는 내가 나의 백성을 다 흩어 버려서 아무도 그들을 기억할 수 없게 하려고 하였으나,
- 그렇게까지는 하지 않았으니, 원수들이 자랑하는 것을 내가 차마 볼 수 없기 때문이다. 나 주가 내 백성을 징벌한 것인데도, 원수들은 마치 저희의 힘으로 내 백성을 패배시킨 것처럼 자랑할 터이니, 그 꼴이 보기가 싫어서 내가 내 백성을 전멸시키지는 않았다.'
- 이스라엘은 어리석은 백성, 깨닫지도 못하는 백성이다.
- 자기들이 왜 패배를 당하였는지를 깨달을 지혜라도 있었으면 좋으련만! 그들의 종말이 어떻게 될지, 깨닫기만이라도 했으면 좋으련만!
- 주님께서 자기의 백성을 포기하지 않으셨다면, 그들의 반석께서 당신의 백성을 원수에게 팔아 넘기지 않으셨다면, 어떻게 원수 한 사람이 이스라엘 사람 천 명을 물리치고, 둘이서 만 명을 도망치게 할 수 있었겠는가?

- For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges.
- For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and of the fields of Gomorrah: their grapes are grapes of gall, their clusters are bitter:
- Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps.
- Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?
- To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

- 우리의 원수까지도 자기들의 반석이 우리의 반석보다 약함을 안다.
- 그들의 포도는 소돔의 포도나무에서 온 것이며, 고모라의 밭에서 온 것이다. 그들의 포도에는 독이 있어서, 송이마다 쓰디쓰다.
- 그들의 포도주는 뱀의 독으로 담근 독한 술이요, 독사의 독이 그득한 술이다.
- '이 독한 포도주는 내가 쓸 데가 있어서 숨겨 놓았던 것, 나중에 쓰려고 곳간에 보관하여 둔 것이다.
- 원수 갚는 것은 내가 하는 일이니, 내가 갚는다. 원수들이 넘어질 때가 곧 온다. 재난의 날이 가깝고, 멸망의 때가 그들에게 곧 덮친다.'

- For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.
- And he shall say, Where are their gods, their rock in whom they trusted,
- Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? let them rise up and help you, and be your protection.
- See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.
- For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

- 그들이 기진맥진 하고, 갇힌 사람도 놓인 사람도 하나도 남지 않았을 때에, 주님께서는 당신의 백성을 심판하시고, 당신의 종들을 불쌍히 여기실 것이다.
- 그 때에 주 하나님이 말씀하신다. '그들의 신들이 어디에 있느냐? 그들이 피난처로 삼던 그 반석은 어디에 있느냐?
- 그들이 제물로 바친 그 기름을 먹고, 부어 바친 포도주를 받아 마시던 그 신들이 어디에 있느냐? 그들이 일어나 너희를 돕게 하고, 그들이 너희의 피난처가 되게 하여라.
- 그러나 이제는 알아라. 나, 오직 나만이 하나님이다. 나 밖에는 다른 신이 없다. 나는 죽게도 하고 살게도 한다. 나는 상하게도 하고 낫게도 한다. 아무도 내가 하는 일을 막지 못한다.
- 내가 하늘로 손을 들고, 내가 나의 영원한 삶을 두고 맹세한다.

- If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.
- I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.
- Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.
- And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he, and Hoshea the son of Nun.
- And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:

- 나는 나의 칼을 날카롭게 갈아서, 내 손으로 재판을 주관하며, 내 원수들에게 보복할 것이다. 나를 미워하는 자들에게 보응하겠다.
- 피살자와 포로들의 피, 적장의 머리에서 나온 피, 내 화살이 이 피를 취하도록 마시고, 내 칼이 그 고기를 실컷 먹을 것이다.'
- 모든 나라들아, 주님의 백성과 함께 즐거워하여라. 주님께서 그 종들의 피를 흘린 자에게 원수를 갚으시고 당신의 대적들에게 복수하신다. 당신의 땅과 백성이 지은 죄를 속하여 주신다.
- 모세는 눈의 아들 여호수아와 함께 가서, 백성에게 이 노래를 모두 다 들려주었다.
- 모세가 이 모든 말을 온 이스라엘 사람에게 한 뒤에,

- And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
- For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

- 그들에게 말하였다. "오늘 내가 당신들에게 증언한 모든 말을, 당신들은 마음에 간직해 두고, 자녀에게 가르쳐, 이 율법의 모든 말씀을 지키게 하십시오.
- 율법은 단지 빈 말이 아니라, 바로 당신들의 생명입니다. 이 말씀을 순종하십시오. 그래야만 당신들이 요단 강을 건너가 차지하는 땅에서 오래오래 살 것입니다."
