신명기 32:48-34:12

 하나님께서 모세를 부르셔서 그가 약속의 땅이 바라보이는 산 위에서 운명하게 될 것을 말씀하셨다. 모세는 이스라엘 백성을 지파별로 축복하고 작별을 고했다. 자신의 사명을 다한 모세는 느보 산에 올라 약속의 땅 가나안을 바라보며 운명하여 모압의 한 골짜기에 장사되었다.
  
  모세의 축복(32:48-33:29)    
 
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses that selfsame day, saying,
  2. Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession:
  3. And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
  4. Because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of MeribahKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
  5. Yet thou shalt see the land before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
  1. 바로 같은 날, 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "너는 여리고 맞은쪽 모압 땅에 있는 아바림 산줄기를 타고 느보 산 꼭대기에 올라가서, 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 소유로 준 가나안 땅을 바라보아라.
  3. 너의 형 아론이 호르 산에서 죽어 백성에게로 돌아간 것 같이, 너도, 네가 오른 이 산에서 죽어서 조상에게로 돌아갈 것이다.
  4. 이는, 네가 신 광야에 있는 가데스의 므리바 샘에서 물이 터질 때에, 이스라엘 자손이 보는 데서 믿음 없는 행동을 하고, 이스라엘 자손에게 나의 거룩함을 나타내지 않았기 때문이다.
  5. 너는, 내가 이스라엘 자손에게 주는 저 땅을 눈으로 바라보기만 하고, 그리로 들어가지는 못할 것이다."
 
 
  1. And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
  2. And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
  3. Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
  4. Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
  5. And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.
  1. 하나님의 사람 모세는 죽기 전에, 이스라엘 자손에게 다음과 같이 복을 빌어 주었다.
  2. 주님께서 시내 산에서 오시고, 세일 산에서 해처럼 떠오르시고, 바란 산에서부터 당신의 백성을 비추신다. 수많은 천사들이 그를 옹위하고, 오른손에는 활활 타는 불을 들고 계신다.
  3. 주님께서 뭇 백성을 사랑하시고, 그에게 속한 모든 성도를 보호하신다. 그러므로 우리가 주님의 발 아래에 무릎을 꿇고, 주님의 말씀에 귀를 기울인다.
  4. 우리는 모세가 전하여 준 율법을 지킨다. 이 율법은 야곱의 자손이 가진 소유 가운데서, 가장 으뜸가는 보물이다.
  5. 연합한 지파들이 모이고, 백성의 지도자들이 모인 가운데서, 주님께서 이스라엘의 왕이 되셨다.
  1. Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
  2. And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.
  3. And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
  4. Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
  5. They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
  1. "르우벤은 비록 그 수는 적으나, 잘 살게 하여 주십시오, 절대로 망하지 않게 하여 주십시오."
  2. 그가 유다를 두고서 이렇게 말하였다. "주님, 유다가 살려 달라고 부르짖을 때에 들어 주십시오. 유다 지파가 다른 지파들과 다시 하나가 되게 하여 주십시오. 주님, 유다를 대신하여 싸워 주십시오. 그들의 원수를 치시어 그들을 도와 주십시오."
  3. 레위 지파를 두고서, 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "레위에게 주님의 둠밈을 주십시오. 주님의 경건한 사람에게 우림을 주십시오. 주님께서 이미 그를 맛사에서 시험하시고, 므리바 물가에서 그와 다투셨습니다.
  4. 그는 자기의 부모를 보고서도 '그들을 모른다'고 하였고 형제자매를 외면하고, 자식마다 모르는 체하면서, 주님의 계명에 순종하였으며, 주님의 언약을 성실하게 지켰습니다.
  5. 그들은 주님의 백성 야곱에게 주님의 바른 길을 가르치며, 이스라엘에게 주님의 율법을 가르치며, 주님 앞에 향을 피워 올리고, 주님의 제단에 번제 드리는 일을 계속 하고 있습니다.
  1. Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
  2. And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
  3. And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
  4. And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
  5. And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
  1. 주님, 그들이 강해지도록 복을 베풀어 주시고, 그들이 하는 모든 일을 기쁘게 받아 주십시오. 그들과 맞서는 자들의 허리를 꺾으시고, 그들을 미워하는 자들을 다시는 일어나지 못하게 하여 주십시오."
  2. 베냐민 지파를 두고서, 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "주님께서 사랑하시는 베냐민은 주님의 곁에서 안전하게 산다. 주님께서 베냐민을 온종일 지켜 주신다. 베냐민은 주님의 등에 업혀서 산다."
  3. 요셉 지파를 두고서, 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "주님께서 그들의 땅에 복을 내리실 것이다. 위에서는 하늘의 보물 이슬이 내리고, 아래에서는 지하의 샘물이 솟아오른다.
  4. 햇빛을 받아 익은 온갖 곡식과, 달빛을 받아 자라나는 온갖 과실이, 그들의 땅에 풍성할 것이다.
  5. 태고적부터 있는 언덕은 아주 좋은 과일로 뒤덮일 것이다.
  1. And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
  2. His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
  3. And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.
  4. They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
  5. And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
  1. 불타는 떨기나무 가운데서 말씀하시는 주님, 선하신 주님께서 그들의 땅에 복을 베푸시니, 그 땅이 온갖 좋은 산물로 가득할 것이다. 요셉이 그 형제 가운데 지도자였으니 이런 복을 요셉 지파가 받을 것이다.
  2. 그들은 첫 수송아지와 같은 힘으로, 황소의 뿔과 같은 위력으로, 그 뿔로 만방을 들이받아 땅 끝까지 휩쓸 것이니, 에브라임의 자손은 만만이요, 므낫세의 자손은 천천이다."
  3. 스불론 지파와 잇사갈 지파를 두고서, 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "스불론은 해상무역을 하여 번성하고 잇사갈은 집에 재산을 쌓는다.
  4. 그들은 외국 사람을 그들의 산마을로 초청하여, 거기서 의의 제사를 드린다. 바다 속에서 얻는 것으로 부자가 되고, 바닷가 모래 속에서도 감추어져 있는 보물을 취한다."
  5. 갓 지파를 두고서, 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "갓 지파의 땅을 넓혀 주신 하나님을 찬송하여라. 갓은 사자처럼 누웠다가, 사로잡은 먹이의 팔과 머리를 찢는다.
  1. And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.
  2. And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
  3. And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.
  4. And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
  5. Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
  1. 그들은 가장 좋은 땅을 차지하였다. 한 지도자의 몫이 그들에게 배정되었다. 이스라엘의 지도자들이 함께 모였을 때에, 그들은 주님의 공의를 지키고 율법에 복종하였다."
  2. 단 지파를 두고서, 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "단은 바산에서 뛰어나오는 사자 새끼와 같다."
  3. 납달리 지파를 두고서, 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "은혜를 풍성히 받은 납달리야, 주님께서 주시는 복을 가득 받은 납달리야! 너희는 서쪽과 남쪽을 차지하고 살아라."
  4. 아셀 지파를 두고서, 그는 이렇게 말하였다. "아셀 지파는 다른 어느 지파보다 복을 더 많이 받은 지파다. 그들은 형제들에게서 귀여움을 받으며, 그들의 땅은 올리브 나무로 가득히 찬다.
  5. 쇠와 놋으로 만든 문빗장으로 너희의 성문을 채웠으니, 너희는 안전하게 산다."
  1. There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
  2. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
  3. Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
  4. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
  1. "이스라엘 백성아, 너희의 하나님과 같은 신은 달리 없다. 하나님이 너희를 도우시려고, 하늘에서 구름을 타시고 위엄 있게 오신다.
  2. 옛부터 하나님은 너희의 피난처가 되시고, 그 영원한 팔로 너희를 떠받쳐 주신다. 너희가 진격할 때에 너희의 원수를 쫓아내시고, 진멸하라고 명령하신다.
  3. 곡식과 포도주가 가득한 이 땅에서, 하늘에서 내리는 이슬에 흠뻑 젖는 이 땅에서, 이스라엘이 평화를 누린다. 야곱의 자손이 안전하게 산다.
  4. 이스라엘아, 너희는 복을 받았다. 주님께 구원을 받은 백성 가운데서 어느 누가 또 너희와 같겠느냐? 그분은 너희의 방패이시요, 너희를 돕는 분이시며, 너희의 영광스런 칼이시다. 너희의 원수가 너희 앞에 와서 자비를 간구하나, 너희는 그들의 등을 짓밟는다."
 
  모세의 죽음(34:1-34:12)    
 
  1. And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,
  2. And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,
  3. And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
  4. And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
  5. So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
  1. 모세가 모압 평원, 여리고 맞은쪽에 있는 느보 산의 비스가 봉우리에 오르니, 주님께서는 그에게, 단까지 이르는 길르앗 지방 온 땅을 보여 주셨다.
  2. 또 온 납달리와 에브라임과 므낫세의 땅과 서해까지 온 유다 땅과
  3. 네겝과 종려나무의 성읍 여리고 골짜기에서 소알까지 평지를 보여 주셨다.
  4. 그리고 주님께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "이것은 내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 맹세하여 그들의 자손에게 주겠다고 약속한 땅이다. 내가 너에게 이 땅을 보여 주기는 하지만, 네가 그리로 들어가지는 못한다."
  5. 주님의 종 모세는, 주님의 말씀대로 모압 땅에서 죽어서,
  1. And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.
  2. And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
  3. And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
  4. And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.
  5. And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,
  1. 모압 땅 벳브올 맞은쪽에 있는 골짜기에 묻혔는데, 오늘날까지 그 무덤이 어디에 있는지를 아는 사람은 아무도 없다.
  2. 모세가 죽을 때에 나이가 백스무 살이었으나, 그의 눈은 빛을 잃지 않았고, 기력은 정정하였다.
  3. 이스라엘 백성은, 모압 평원에서 모세의 죽음을 애도하는 기간이 끝날 때까지, 모세를 생각하며 삼십 일 동안 애곡하였다.
  4. 모세가 눈의 아들 여호수아에게 안수하였으므로, 여호수아에게 지혜의 영이 넘쳤다. 이스라엘 자손은, 주님께서 모세에게 명하신 대로, 여호수아의 말을 잘 듣고 그를 따랐다.
  5. 그 뒤에 이스라엘에는 모세와 같은 예언자가 다시는 나지 않았다. 주님께서는 얼굴과 얼굴을 마주 대고 모세와 말씀하셨다.
  1. In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
  2. And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.
  1. 주님께서는 그를 이집트의 바로와 그의 모든 신하와 그의 온 땅에 보내셔서, 놀라운 기적과 기이한 일을 하게 하셨다.
  2. 온 이스라엘 백성이 보는 앞에서, 모세가 한 것처럼, 큰 권능을 보이면서 놀라운 일을 한 사람은 다시 없다.
