- O god, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
- The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
- Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
- We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
- How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

- 하나님, 이방 나라들이 주님의 땅으로 들어와서, 주님의 성전을 더럽히고, 예루살렘을 돌무더기로 만들었습니다.
- 그들이 주님의 종들의 주검을 하늘을 나는 새들에게 먹이로 내주고, 주님의 성도들의 살을 들짐승에게 먹이로 내주고,
- 사람들의 피가 물같이 흘러 예루살렘 사면에 넘치게 하였건만, 희생당한 이들을 묻어 줄 사람이 아무도 없습니다.
- 우리는 이웃에게 조소거리가 되고, 주변 사람들에게 조롱거리와 웃음거리가 되었습니다.
- 주님, 언제까지입니까? 영원히 노여워하시렵니까? 언제까지 주님의 진노하심이 불길처럼 타오를 것입니까?
