- He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
- I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
- Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
- They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
- But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.

- 나는 아직 한창 때인데 기력이 쇠하여지다니, 주님께서 나의 목숨 거두시려나?
- 나는 아뢰었다. "나의 하나님, 중년에 나를 데려가지 마십시오. 주님의 햇수는 대대로 무궁합니다."
- 그 옛날 주님께서는 땅의 기초를 놓으시며, 하늘을 손수 지으셨습니다.
- 하늘과 땅은 모두 사라지더라도, 주님만은 그대로 계십니다. 그것들은 모두 옷처럼 낡겠지만, 주님은 옷을 갈아입듯이 그것들을 바꾸실 것이니, 그것들은 다만, 지나가 버리는 것일 뿐입니다.
- 주님은 언제나 한결같습니다. 주님의 햇수에는 끝이 없습니다.
