역대상

  본서는 이스라엘 왕국의 영광스런 역사를 회고하고, 하나님과의 언약을 강조함으로써 귀환민들에게 하나님 백성으로서의 정체성과 희망을 주기 위하여 기록되었다. 예루살렘 멸망 후 70년 동안 바벨론 포로 생활을 한 이스라엘 백성들은 새로운 신앙 공동체로 묶어 줄 수 있는 영적 기반이 필요했던 것이다.

  1장부터 9장까지는 아담으로부터 아브라함, 다윗, 바벨론 포로 귀환민에 이르는 족보를 개략적으로 기록함으로써 하나님의 선택과 보호하심을 소개하였다. 10장부터 29장까지는 하나님의 언약에 기초한 다윗의 통치를 기록하고 있다.

 

 

역대상 1:1-2:17

 아담으로부터 시작하여 노아, 아브라함, 야곱과 그의 아들들, 그리고 유다에서 다윗에 이르는 족보가 기록되어 있다.
  
  아담에서 야곱까지의 족보(1:1-1:54)    
 
  1. Adam, Sheth, Enosh,
  2. Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,
  3. Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,
  4. Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
  5. The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
  1. 아담, 셋, 에노스,
  2. 게난, 마할랄렐, 야렛,
  3. 에녹, 므두셀라, 라멕, 노아.
  4. 노아의 아들들은 셈과 함과 야벳이다.
  5. 야벳의 자손은 고멜과 마곡과 마대와 야완과 두발과 메섹과 디라스이고,
  1. And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
  2. And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
  3. The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
  4. And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.
  5. And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.
  1. 고멜의 자손은 아스그나스와 디밧과 도갈마이고,
  2. 야완의 자손은 엘리사와 스페인과 키프로스와 로도스이다.
  3. 함의 자손은 구스와 이집트와 리비아와 가나안이고,
  4. 구스의 자손은 쓰바와 하윌라와 삽다와 라아마와 삽드가이고, 라아마의 자손은 스바와 드단이다.
  5. 구스가 또 니므롯을 낳았는데, 그는 이 세상의 첫 장사가 되었다.
  1. And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
  2. And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.
  3. And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,
  4. The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
  5. And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
  1. 이집트에게서 루드 족과 아남 족과 르합 족과 납두 족과
  2. 바드룻 족과 가슬루 족과 크레테 족이 나왔다. （가슬루 족에서 블레셋 족이 나왔다.）
  3. 가나안은 맏아들 시돈을 낳고, 그 아래로 헷을 낳았다.
  4. 가나안에게서 여부스 족과 아모리 족과 기르가스 족과
  5. 히위 족과 알가 족과 신 족과
  1. And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
  2. The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
  3. And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.
  4. And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.
  5. And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
  1. 아르왓 족과 스말 족과 하맛 족이 나왔다.
  2. 셈의 자손은 엘람과 앗수르와 아르박삿과 룻과 아람이다. 아람의 자손은 우스와 훌과 게델과 메섹이다.
  3. 아르박삿은 셀라를 낳고, 셀라는 에벨을 낳았다.
  4. 에벨은 두 아들을 낳았는데, 그 때에 세계 인종이 나뉘었다고 해서, 한 아들의 이름을 벨렉이라고 하였다. 그 아우의 이름은 욕단이다.
  5. 욕단은 알모닷과 셀렙과 하살마웻과 예라와
  1. Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,
  2. And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
  3. And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
  4. Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
  5. Eber, Peleg, Reu,
  1. 하도람과 우살과 디글라와
  2. 에발과 아비마엘과 스바와
  3. 오빌과 하윌라와 요밥을 낳았다. 이들은 모두 욕단의 자손이다.
  4. 셈, 아르박삿, 셀라,
  5. 에벨, 벨렉, 르우,
  1. Serug, Nahor, Terah,
  2. Abram; the same is Abraham.
  3. The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.
  4. These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
  5. Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
  1. 스룩, 나홀, 데라,
  2. 아브람 곧 아브라함.
  3. 아브라함의 아들은 이삭과 이스마엘이다.
  4. 이들의 족보는 다음과 같다. 이스마엘의 맏아들은 느바욧이고, 그 아래로 게달과 앗브엘과 밉삼과
  5. 미스마와 두마와 맛사와 하닷과 데마와
  1. Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.
  2. Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.
  3. And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.
  4. And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.
  5. The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
  1. 여두르와 나비스와 게드마가 태어났다. 이들이 이스마엘의 아들들이다.
  2. 아브라함의 첩 그두라가 낳은 아들은 시므란과 욕산과 므단과 미디안과 이스박과 수아이다. 욕산의 아들은 스바와 드단이다.
  3. 미디안의 아들은 에바와 에벨과 하녹과 아비다와 엘다아이다. 이들은 모두 그두라의 자손이다.
  4. 아브라함이 이삭을 낳았다. 이삭의 아들은 에서와 이스라엘이다.
  5. 에서의 아들은 엘리바스와 르우엘과 여우스와 얄람과 고라이다.
  1. The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
  2. The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
  3. And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan.
  4. And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.
  5. The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. and the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.
  1. 엘리바스의 아들은 데만과 오말과 스비와 가담과 그나스와 딤나와 아말렉이다.
  2. 르우엘의 아들은 나핫과 세라와 삼마와 밋사이다.
  3. 세일의 아들은 로단과 소발과 시브온과 아나와 디손과 에셀과 디산이다.
  4. 로단의 아들은 호리와 호맘이며, 로단의 누이는 딤나이다.
  5. 소발의 아들은 알랸과 마나핫과 에발과 스비와 오남이다. 시브온의 아들은 아야와 아나이다.
  1. The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
  2. The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.
  3. Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
  4. And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
  5. And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
  1. 아나의 아들은 디손이고, 디손의 아들은 하므란과 에스반과 이드란과 그란이다.
  2. 에셀의 아들은 빌한과 사아완과 야아간이다. 디산의 아들은 우스와 아란이다.
  3. 이스라엘 자손을 다스리는 왕이 있기 전에 에돔 땅을 다스린 왕은 다음과 같다. 브올의 아들 벨라가 딘하바에 도읍을 정하고 왕이 되었다.
  4. 벨라가 죽으니, 보스라 사람 세라의 아들 요밥이 그의 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었고,
  5. 요밥이 죽으니, 데만 지방의 사람 후삼이 그의 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었고,
  1. And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
  2. And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
  3. And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
  4. And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
  5. And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
  1. 후삼이 죽으니, 브닷의 아들 하닷이 그의 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었는데, 그는 모압 평지에서 미디안을 쳐서 무찌른 사람이다. 그는 도읍을 아윗으로 옮겼다.
  2. 하닷이 죽으니, 마스레가 사람 삼라가 그의 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었고,

  5. 바알하난이 죽으니, 하닷이 그의 뒤를 이어 왕이 되었는데, 그는 도읍을 바이로 옮겼다. 그의 아내의 이름은 므헤다벨인데, 그는 마드렛의 딸이요, 메사합의 손녀이다.
  1. Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,
  2. Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
  3. Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
  4. Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.
  1. 하닷이 죽었다. 에돔의 족장은, 딤나 족장과 알랴 족장과 여뎃 족장과
  2. 오홀리바마 족장과 엘라 족장과 비논 족장과
  3. 그나스 족장과 데만 족장과 밉살 족장과
  4. 막디엘 족장과 이람 족장이다. 이들이 에돔의 족장이다.
 
  다윗의 족보(2:1-2:17)    
 
  1. These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
  2. Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
  3. The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him.
  4. And Tamar his daughter in law bore him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
  5. The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.
  1. 이스라엘의 아들은 르우벤과 시므온과 레위와 유다와 잇사갈과 스불론과
  2. 단과 요셉과 베냐민과 납달리와 갓과 아셀이다.
  3. 유다의 아들은 에르와 오난과 셀라이며, 이 셋은 가나안 사람 수아의 딸과 유다 사이에서 태어난 아들이다. 유다의 맏아들 에르는 주님께서 보시기에 악하였으므로, 주님께서 그를 죽이셨다.
  4. 유다의 며느리 다말과 유다 사이에서는 베레스와 세라가 태어났다. 유다의 아들은 모두 다섯이다.
  5. 베레스의 아들은 헤스론과 하물이다.
  1. And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.
  2. And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.
  3. And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.
  4. The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.
  5. And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;
  1. 세라의 아들은 시므리와 에단과 헤만과 갈골과 다라로서, 모두 다섯이다.
  2. 가르미의 아들은 아갈인데, 그는 하나님께 전멸시켜 바쳐야 하는 물건 때문에 범죄하여 이스라엘을 고통에 빠뜨린 자다.
  3. 에단의 아들은 아사랴이다.
  4. 헤스론에게서 태어난 아들은 여라므엘과 람과 글루배이다.
  5. 람은 암미나답을 낳고, 암미나답은 유다 자손의 지도자 나손을 낳고,
  1. And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,
  2. And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,
  3. And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,
  4. Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,
  5. Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:
  1. 나손은 살몬을 낳고, 살몬은 보아스를 낳고,
  2. 보아스는 오벳을 낳고, 오벳은 이새를 낳았다.
  3. 이새는 그의 맏아들 엘리압과 둘째 아비나답과 셋째 시므아와
  4. 넷째 느다넬과 다섯째 랏대와
  5. 여섯째 오셈과 일곱째 다윗을 낳았다.
  1. Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.
  2. And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.
  1. 이들의 누이는 스루야와 아비가일이다. 스루야의 아들은 아비새와 요압과 아사헬, 이렇게 셋이다.
  2. 아비가일은 아마사를 낳았는데, 아마사의 아버지는 이스마엘 사람 예델이다.
 
  세계(世系, 1:29)  계보, 족보를 의미함  
  아들( 2:1)  친아들뿐만 아니라, 후손들 전체를 의미함
