- They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
- These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
- For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
- They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
- They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.

- 배를 타고 바다로 내려가서, 큰 물을 헤쳐 가면서 장사하는 사람들은,
- 주님께서 하신 행사를 보고, 깊은 바다에서 일으키신 놀라운 기적을 본다.
- 그는 말씀으로 큰 폭풍을 일으키시고, 물결을 산더미처럼 쌓으신다.
- 배들은 하늘 높이 떠올랐다가 깊은 바다로 떨어진다. 그런 위기에서 그들은 얼이 빠지고 간담이 녹는다.
- 그들이 모두 술 취한 사람처럼 비틀거리며 흔들리니, 그들의 지혜가 모두 쓸모 없이 된다.

- Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
- He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
- Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
- Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
- Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

- 그러나 그들이 고난 가운데서 주님께 부르짖을 때에, 그들을 곤경에서 벗어나게 해주신다.
- 폭풍이 잠잠해지고, 물결도 잔잔해진다.
- 사방이 조용해지니 모두들 기뻐하고, 주님은 그들이 바라는 항구로 그들을 인도하여 주신다.
- 주님의 인자하심을 감사하여라. 사람에게 베푸신 주님의 놀라운 구원을 감사하여라.
- 백성이 모인 가운데서 그분을 기려라. 장로들이 모인 곳에서 그분을 찬양하여라.
