욥기 27:1-29:25

 욥은 계속해서 자신은 불의와 궤휼을 말하지 않고 자신의 의를 굳게 잡아 순전히 지켰다고 하였다. 그리고 하나님을 경외하는 것이 지혜이고, 악을 떠나는 것이 명철이라고 고백하였다. 그리고 시험받기 이전의 자신의 모습을 회상하면서, 하나님께서 자신을 보호해 주셨으며 자신도 왕처럼 현명하여 다른 사람들을 위로해 줄 수 있는 존재였다고 고백하였다.
  
  욥의 독백(27:1-29:25)    
 
  1. Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
  2. As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;
  3. All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
  4. My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
  5. God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
  1. 욥이 비유로 말하였다.
  2. 내가 살아 계신 하나님 앞에서 맹세한다. 그분께서 나를 공정한 판결을 받지 못하게 하시며, 전능하신 분께서 나를 몹시 괴롭게 하신다.
  3. 내게 호흡이 남아 있는 동안은, 하나님이 내 코에 불어 넣으신 숨결이 내 코에 남아 있는 한,
  4. 내가 입술로 결코 악한 말을 하지 않으며, 내가 혀로 거짓말을 하지 않겠다.
  5. 나는 결코 너희가 옳다고 말할 수 없다. 나는 죽기까지 내 결백을 주장하겠다.
  1. My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
  2. Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
  3. For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?
  4. Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
  5. Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
  1. 내가 의롭다고 주장하면서 끝까지 굽히지 않아도, 내 평생에 양심에 꺼림칙한 날은 없을 것이다.
  2. 내 원수들은 악한 자가 받는 대가를 받아라. 나를 대적하는 자는 악인이 받을 벌을 받아라.
  3. 하나님이 경건하지 않은 자의 생명을 끊고, 그의 영혼을 불러 가실 때에, 그의 희망이란 과연 무엇이겠느냐?
  4. 환난이 그에게 닥칠 때에, 하나님이 그의 부르짖음을 들어주시겠느냐?
  5. 그들은 전능하신 분께서 주시는 기쁨을 사모했어야 했고 그분께 기도했어야 했다.
  1. I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
  2. Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?
  3. This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
  4. If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
  5. Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
  1. 날더러도 하나님의 응답이 얼마나 큰지 가르치라고 해 보아라. 전능하신 분께서 계획하신 바를 설명하라고 해 보아라.
  2. 그러나 그만두겠다. 이런 일은 너희도 이미 알고 있는 것이 아니냐? 그런데 너희는, 어찌하여 그처럼 터무니없는 말을 하느냐?
  3. 하나님이 악한 자에게 주시는 벌이 무엇인지, 전능하신 분께서 폭력을 행하는 자에게 주시는 벌이 무엇인지 아느냐?
  4. 비록 자손이 많다 해도, 모두 전쟁에서 죽고 말 것이다. 그 자손에게는 배불리 먹을 것이 없을 것이다.
  5. 살아 남은 사람은 또 염병으로 죽어 매장되니, 살아 남은 과부들은 기가 막혀서 울지도 못할 것이다.
  1. Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
  2. He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.
  3. He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.
  4. The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
  5. Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
  1. 돈을 셀 수도 없이 긁어 모으고, 옷을 산더미처럼 쌓아 놓아도,
  2. 엉뚱하게도 의로운 사람이 그 옷을 입으며, 정직한 사람이 그 돈더미를 차지할 것이다.
  3. 악한 자들이 지은 집은 거미집과 같고 밭을 지키는 일꾼의 움막과 같다.
  4. 부자가 되어서 잠자리에 들지만, 그것으로 마지막이다. 다음날에 눈을 떠 보면, 이미 알거지가 되어 있다.
  5. 두려움이 홍수처럼 그들에게 들이닥치며, 폭풍이 밤중에 그들을 쓸어 갈 것이다.
  1. The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.
  2. For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
  3. Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
  1. 동풍이 불어와서 그들을 그 살던 집에서 쓸어 갈 것이다.
  2. 도망 치려고 안간힘을 써도, 동쪽에서 오는 폭풍이 사정없이 불어 닥쳐서, 그들을 날려 버릴 것이다.
  3. 도망 가는 동안에 폭풍이 불어 닥쳐서, 무서운 파괴력으로 그들을 공포에 떨게 할 것이다.
 
 
  1. Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for gold where they fine it.
  2. Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone.
  3. He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death.
  4. The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.
  5. As for the earth, out of it cometh bread: and under it is turned up as it were fire.
  1. 은을 캐는 광산이 있고, 금을 정련하는 제련소도 있다.
  2. 철은 흙에서 캐어 내며, 구리는 광석을 녹여서 얻는다.
  3. 광부들은 땅 속을 깊이 파고 들어가서, 땅 속이 아무리 캄캄해도 그 캄캄한 구석 구석에서 광석을 캐어 낸다.
  4. 사람이 사는 곳에서 멀리 떨어진 곳, 사람의 발이 가 닿지 않는 곳에, 사람들은 갱도를 판다. 줄을 타고 매달려서 외롭게 일을 한다.
  5. 땅 위에서는 먹거리가 자라지만, 땅 속은 같은 땅인데도 용암으로 들끓고 있다.
  1. The stones of it are the place of sapphires: and it hath dust of gold.
  2. There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen:
  3. The lion's whelps have not trodden it, nor the fierce lion passed by it.
  4. He putteth forth his hand upon the rock; he overturneth the mountains by the roots.
  5. He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.
  1. 바위에는 사파이어가 있고, 돌가루에는 금이 섞여 있다.
  2. 솔개도 거기에 이르는 길을 알지 못하고, 매의 날카로운 눈도 그 길을 찾지 못한다.
  3. 겁 없는 맹수도 거기에 발을 들여놓은 일이 없고, 무서운 사자도 그 곳을 밟아 본 적이 없다.
  4. 사람은 굳은 바위를 깨고, 산을 그 밑 뿌리까지 파들어 간다.
  5. 바위에 굴을 뚫어서, 각종 진귀한 보물을 찾아낸다.
  1. He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.
  2. But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
  3. Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
  4. The depth saith, It is not in me: and the sea saith, It is not with me.
  5. It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.
  1. 강의 근원을 찾아내고, 땅에 감추어진 온갖 보화를 들추어낸다.
  2. 그러나 지혜는 어디에서 얻으며, 슬기가 있는 곳은 어디인가?
  3. 지혜는 사람에게서 발견되는 것이 아니다. 사람은 어느 누구도 지혜의 참 가치를 알지 못한다.
  4. 깊은 바다도 "나는 지혜를 감추어 놓지 않았다" 하고 말한다. 넓은 바다도 "나는 지혜를 감추어 놓지 않았다" 하고 말한다.
  5. 지혜는 금을 주고 살 수 없고, 은으로도 그 값을 치를 수 없다.
  1. It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
  2. The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.
  3. No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
  4. The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.
  5. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?
  1. 지혜는 오빌의 금이나 값진 루비나 사파이어로도 그 값을 치를 수 없다.
  2. 지혜는 금보다 값진 것, 금잔이나 값진 유리잔보다 더 값진 것이다.
  3. 지혜의 값은 산호보다, 수정보다 비싸다. 지혜를 얻는 것은 진주를 가진 것보다 값지다.
  4. 에티오피아의 토파즈로도 지혜와 비교할 수 없고, 정금으로도 지혜의 값을 치를 수 없다.
  5. 그렇다면 지혜는 어디에서 오며, 슬기가 있는 곳은 어디인가?
  1. Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.
  2. Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame thereof with our ears.
  3. God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.
  4. For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;
  5. To make the weight for the winds; and he weigheth the waters by measure.
  1. 모든 생물의 눈에 숨겨져 있고, 공중의 새에게도 감추어져 있다.
  2. 멸망의 구덩이와 죽음도 지혜를 두고 이르기를 "지혜라는 것이 있다는 말은 다만 소문으로만 들었을 뿐이다" 하고 말한다.
  3. 그러나 하나님은, 지혜가 있는 곳에 이르는 길을 아신다. 그분만이 지혜가 있는 곳을 아신다.
  4. 오직 그분만이 땅 끝까지 살피실 수 있으며, 하늘 아래에 있는 모든 것을 보실 수 있다.
  5. 그분께서 저울로 바람의 강약을 달아 보시던 그 때에, 물의 분량을 달아 보시던 그 때에,
  1. When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder:
  2. Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out.
  3. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
  1. 비가 내리는 규칙을 세우시던 그 때에, 천둥 번개가 치는 길을 정하시던 그 때에,
  2. 바로 그 때에 그분께서, 지혜를 보시고, 지혜를 칭찬하시고, 지혜를 튼튼하게 세우시고, 지혜를 시험해 보셨다.
  3. 그런 다음에, 하나님은 사람에게 말씀하셨다. "주님을 경외하는 것이 지혜요, 악을 멀리하는 것이 슬기다."
 
 
  1. Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
  2. Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved me;
  3. When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness;
  4. As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle;
  5. When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me;
  1. 욥이 다시 비유를 써서 말을 하였다.
  2. 지나간 세월로 되돌아갈 수만 있으면, 하나님이 보호해 주시던 그 지나간 날로 되돌아갈 수 있으면 좋으련만!
  3. 그 때에는 하나님이 그 등불로 내 머리 위를 비추어 주셨고, 빛으로 인도해 주시는 대로, 내가 어둠 속을 활보하지 않았던가?
  4. 내가 그처럼 잘 살던 그 시절로 다시 돌아가서 살 수 있으면 좋으련만! 내 집에서 하나님과 친밀하게 사귀던 그 시절로 되돌아갈 수 있으면 좋으련만!
  5. 그 때에는 전능하신 분께서 나와 함께 계시고, 내 자녀들도 나와 함께 있었건만.
  1. When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;
  2. When I went out to the gate through the city, when I prepared my seat in the street!
  3. The young men saw me, and hid themselves: and the aged arose, and stood up.
  4. The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.
  5. The nobles held their peace, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.
  1. 젖소와 양들이 젖을 많이 내어서, 내 발이 젖으로 흠뻑 젖었건만. 돌짝 밭에서 자란 올리브 나무에서는, 올리브 기름이 강물처럼 흘러 나왔건만.
  2. 그 때에는 내가 성문 회관에 나가거나 광장에 자리를 잡고 앉으면,
  3. 젊은이들은 나를 보고 비켜 서고, 노인들은 일어나서 내게 인사하였건만.
  4. 원로들도 하던 말을 멈추고 손으로 입을 가렸으며,
  5. 귀족들도 혀가 입천장에 달라붙기나 한 것처럼 말소리를 죽였건만.
  1. When the ear heard me, then it blessed me; and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me:
  2. Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him.
  3. The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.
  4. I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
  5. I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.
  1. 내 소문을 들은 사람들은 내가 한 일을 칭찬하고, 나를 직접 본 사람들은 내가 한 일을 기꺼이 자랑하고 다녔다.
  2. 내게 도움을 청한 가난한 사람들을 내가 어떻게 구해 주었는지, 의지할 데가 없는 고아를 내가 어떻게 잘 보살펴 주었는지를 자랑하고 다녔다.
  3. 비참하게 죽어 가는 사람들도, 내가 베푼 자선을 기억하고 나를 축복해 주었다. 과부들의 마음도 즐겁게 해주었다.
  4. 나는 늘 정의를 실천하고, 매사를 공평하게 처리하였다.
  5. 나는 앞을 못 보는 이에게는 눈이 되어 주고, 발을 저는 이에게는 발이 되어 주었다.
  1. I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out.
  2. And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth.
  3. Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.
  4. My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch.
  5. My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand.
  1. 궁핍한 사람들에게는 아버지가 되어 주고, 알지도 못하는 사람들의 하소연도 살펴보고서 처리해 주었다.
  2. 악을 행하는 자들의 턱뼈를 으스러뜨리고, 그들에게 희생당하는 사람들을 빼내어 주었다.
  3. 그래서 나는 늘 '나는 죽을 때까지 이렇게 건장하게 살 것이다. 소털처럼 많은 나날 불사조처럼 오래 살 것이다.
  4. 나는, 뿌리가 물가로 뻗은 나무와 같고, 이슬을 머금은 나무와 같다.
  5. 사람마다 늘 나를 칭찬하고, 내 정력은 쇠하지 않을 것이다' 하고 생각하였건만.
  1. Unto me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence at my counsel.
  2. After my words they spake not again; and my speech dropped upon them.
  3. And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.
  4. If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.
  5. I chose out their way, and sat chief, and dwelt as a king in the army, as one that comforteth the mourners.
  1. 사람들은 기대를 가지고 내 말을 듣고, 내 의견을 들으려고 잠잠히 기다렸다.
  2. 내가 말을 마치면 다시 뒷말이 없고, 내 말은 그들 위에 이슬처럼 젖어들었다.
  3. 사람들은 내 말을 기다리기를 단비를 기다리듯 하고, 농부가 봄비를 기뻐하듯이 내 말을 받아들였다.
  4. 내가 미소를 지으면 그들은 새로운 확신을 얻고, 내가 웃는 얼굴을 하면 그들은 새로운 용기를 얻었다.
  5. 나는 마치 군대를 거느린 왕처럼, 슬퍼하는 사람을 위로해 주는 사람처럼, 사람들을 돌보고, 그들이 갈 길을 정해 주곤 하였건만.
