욥기 30:1-31:40

 욥은 현재 환난 가운데 있는 자신은 사람들의 조롱거리가 되었다고 비통하게 노래하면서, 하나님께서 자신을 고통 가운데 있게 하셨다고 하였다. 그리고 하나님께 부르짖으나 하나님께서 대답하지 아니하시므로 자신은 애통한 상태에 있다고 하면서, 하나님께서 자신의 정직함을 알기를 원하며 자신에게 대답해 주시기를 간구하였다.
  
  계속되는 욥의 독백(30:1-31:40)    
 
  1. But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.
  2. Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was perished?
  3. For want and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.
  4. Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their meat.
  5. They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;)
  1. 그런데 이제는 나보다 어린 것들까지 나를 조롱하는구나. 내 양 떼를 지키는 개들 축에도 끼지 못하는 쓸모가 없는 자들의 자식들까지 나를 조롱한다.
  2. 젊어서 손에 힘이 있을 듯하지만, 기력이 쇠하여서 쓸모가 없는 자들이다.
  3. 그들은 가난과 굶주림에 허덕여서 몰골이 흉하며, 메마른 땅과 황무지에서 풀뿌리나 씹으며,
  4. 덤불 속에서 자란 쓴 나물을 캐어 먹으며, 대싸리 뿌리로 끼니를 삼는 자들이다.
  5. 그들은 사람 축에 끼지 못하여 동네에서 쫓겨나고, 사람들이 마치 도둑을 쫓듯이 그들에게 "도둑이야!" 하고 소리를 질러 쫓아 버리곤 하였다.
  1. To dwell in the cliffs of the valleys, in caves of the earth, and in the rocks.
  2. Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they were gathered together.
  3. They were children of fools, yea, children of base men: they were viler than the earth.
  4. And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword.
  5. They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face.
  1. 그들은, 급류에 패여 벼랑진 골짜기에서 지내고, 땅굴이나 동굴에서 살고,
  2. 짐승처럼 덤불 속에서 움츠리고 있거나, 가시나무 밑에 몰려서 웅크리고 있으니,
  3. 그들은 어리석은 자의 자식들로서, 이름도 없는 자의 자식들로서, 회초리를 맞고 제 고장에서 쫓겨난 자들이다.
  4. 그런데 그런 자들이 이제는 돌아와서 나를 비웃는다. 내가 그들의 말거리가 되어 버렸다.
  5. 그들은 나를 꺼려 멀리하며 마주치기라도 하면 서슴지 않고 침을 뱉는다.
  1. Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.
  2. Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction.
  3. They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.
  4. They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me.
  5. Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud.
  1. 하나님이 내 활시위를 풀어 버리시고, 나를 이렇게 무기력하게 하시니, 그들이 고삐 풀린 말처럼 내 앞에서 날뛴다.
  2. 이 천한 무리들이 내 오른쪽에서 나와 겨루려고 들고 일어나며, 나를 잡으려고 내가 걷는 길에 덫을 놓고, 나를 파멸시키려고 포위망을 좁히고 있다.
  3. 그들은 내가 도망 가는 길마저 막아 버렸다. 그들이 나를 파멸시키려고 하는데도, 그들을 막을 사람이 아무도 없다.
  4. 그들이 성벽을 뚫고, 그 뚫린 틈으로 물밀듯 들어와서, 성난 파도처럼 내게 달려드니,
  5. 나는 두려워서 벌벌 떨고, 내 위엄은 간곳없이 사라지고, 구원의 희망은 뜬구름이 사라지듯 없어졌다.
  1. And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me.
  2. My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.
  3. By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
  4. He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes.
  5. I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hear me: I stand up, and thou regardest me not.
  1. 나는 이제 기력이 쇠하여서, 죽을 지경에 이르렀다. 지금까지 나는 괴로운 나날들에 사로잡혀서, 편하게 쉬지 못하였다.
  2. 밤에는 뼈가 쑤시고, 뼈를 깎는 아픔이 그치지 않는다.
  3. 하나님이 그 거센 힘으로 내 옷을 거세게 잡아당기셔서, 나를 옷깃처럼 휘어감으신다.
  4. 하나님이 나를 진흙 속에 던지시니, 내가 진흙이나 쓰레기보다 나을 것이 없다.
  5. 주님, 내가 주님께 부르짖어도, 주님께서는 내게 응답하지 않으십니다. 내가 주님께 기도해도, 주님께서는 들은 체도 않으십니다.
  1. Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thyself against me.
  2. Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride upon it, and dissolvest my substance.
  3. For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.
  4. Howbeit he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though they cry in his destruction.
  5. Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor?
  1. 주님께서는 내게 너무 잔인하십니다. 힘이 세신 주님께서, 힘이 없는 나를 핍박하십니다.
  2. 나를 들어올려서 바람에 날리게 하시며, 태풍에 휩쓸려서 흔적도 없이 사라지게 하십니다.
  3. 나는 잘 알고 있습니다. 주님께서는 나를 죽음으로 몰아넣고 계십니다. 끝내 나를 살아 있는 모든 사람들이 다 함께 만나는 그 죽음의 집으로 돌아가게 하십니다.
  4. 주님께서는 어찌하여 망할 수밖에 없는 연약한 이 몸을 치십니까? 기껏 하나님의 자비나 빌어야 하는 것밖에는 아무것도 할 수 없는 보잘것없는 이 몸을, 어찌하여 그렇게 세게 치십니까?
  5. 고난받는 사람을 보면, 함께 울었다. 궁핍한 사람을 보면, 나도 함께 마음 아파하였다.
  1. When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.
  2. My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me.
  3. I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.
  4. I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.
  5. My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.
  1. 내가 바라던 행복은 오지 않고 화가 들이닥쳤구나. 빛을 바랐더니 어둠이 밀어닥쳤다.
  2. 근심과 고통으로 마음이 갈기갈기 찢어지고, 하루도 고통스럽지 않은 날이 없이 지금까지 살아왔다.
  3. 햇빛도 비치지 않는 그늘진 곳으로만 침울하게 돌아다니다가, 사람들이 모여 있는 곳에 이르면 도와 달라고 애걸이나 하는 신세가 되고 말았다.
  4. 나는 이제 이리의 형제가 되고, 타조의 친구가 되어 버렸는가? 내가 내 목소리를 들어 보아도, 내 목소리는 구슬프고 외롭다.
  5. 살갗은 검게 타서 벗겨지고, 뼈는 열을 받아서 타 버렸다.
  1. My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep.
  1. 수금 소리는 통곡으로 바뀌고, 피리 소리는 애곡으로 바뀌었다.
 
 
  1. I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
  2. For what portion of God is there from above? and what inheritance of the Almighty from on high?
  3. Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
  4. Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?
  5. If I have walked with vanity, or if my foot hath hasted to deceit;
  1. 젊은 여인을 음탕한 눈으로 바라보지 않겠다고 나 스스로 엄격하게 다짐하였다.
  2. 여자나 유혹하고 다니면, 위에 계신 하나님이 내게 주실 몫이 무엇이겠으며, 높은 곳에 계신 전능하신 분께서 내게 주실 유산은 무엇이겠는가?
  3. 불의한 자에게는 불행이 미치고, 악한 일을 하는 자에게는 재앙이 닥치는 법이 아닌가?
  4. 하나님은 내가 하는 일을 낱낱이 알고 계신다. 내 모든 발걸음을 하나하나 세고 계신다.
  5. 나는 맹세할 수 있다. 여태까지 나는 악한 일을 하지 않았다. 다른 사람을 속이려고도 하지 않았다.
  1. Let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know mine integrity.
  2. If my step hath turned out of the way, and mine heart walked after mine eyes, and if any blot hath cleaved to mine hands;
  3. Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
  4. If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door;
  5. Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
  1. 하나님이 내 정직함을 공평한 저울로 달아 보신다면, 내게 흠이 없음을 아실 것이다.
  2. 내가 그릇된 길로 갔거나, 나 스스로 악에 이끌리어 따라갔거나, 내 손에 죄를 지은 흔적이라도 있다면,
  3. 내가 심은 것을 다른 사람이 거두어 먹어도, 내가 지은 농사가 망하더라도, 나는 할 말이 없을 것이다.
  4. 남의 아내를 탐내서, 그 집 문 근처에 숨어 있으면서 그 여인을 범할 기회를 노렸다면,
  5. 내 아내가 다른 남자의 노예가 되거나, 다른 남자의 품에 안긴다 해도, 나는 할 말이 없을 것이다.
  1. For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges.
  2. For it is a fire that consumeth to destruction, and would root out all mine increase.
  3. If I did despise the cause of my manservant or of my maidservant, when they contended with me;
  4. What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?
  5. Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?
  1. 남의 아내를 범하는 것은, 사형선고를 받아야 마땅한 범죄다.
  2. 그것은 사람을 파멸시키는 불, 사람이 애써서 모은 재산을 다 태우는 불이다.
  3. 내 남종이나 여종이 내게 탄원을 하여 올 때마다, 나는 그들이 하는 말에 귀를 기울이고, 공평하게 처리하였다.
  4. 그렇게 하지 않았더라면, 내가 무슨 낯으로 하나님을 뵈며, 하나님이 나를 심판하러 오실 때에, 내가 무슨 말로 변명하겠는가?
  5. 나를 창조하신 바로 그 하나님이 내 종들도 창조하셨다.
  1. If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
  2. Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the fatherless hath not eaten thereof;
  3. (For from my youth he was brought up with me, as with a father, and I have guided her from my mother's womb;)
  4. If I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or any poor without covering;
  5. If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
  1. 가난한 사람들이 도와 달라고 할 때에, 나는 거절한 일이 없다. 앞길이 막막한 과부를 못 본 체 한 일도 없다.
  2. 나는 배부르게 먹으면서 고아를 굶긴 일도 없다.
  3. 일찍부터 나는 고아를 내 아이처럼 길렀으며, 철이 나서는 줄곧 과부들을 돌보았다.
  4. 너무나도 가난하여 옷도 걸치지 못하고 죽어 가는 사람이나, 덮고 잘 것이 없는 가난한 사람을 볼 때마다,
  5. 내가 기른 양 털을 깎아서, 그것으로 옷을 만들어 그들에게 입혔다. 시린 허리를 따뜻하게 해주었더니, 그들이 나를 진심으로 축복하곤 하였다.
  1. If I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, when I saw my help in the gate:
  2. Then let mine arm fall from my shoulder blade, and mine arm be broken from the bone.
  3. For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure.
  4. If I have made gold my hope, or have said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence;
  5. If I rejoice because my wealth was great, and because mine hand had gotten much;
  1. 내가 재판에서 이길 것이라고 생각하고, 고아를 속이기라도 하였더라면,
  2. 내 팔이 부러져도 할 말이 없다. 내 팔이 어깻죽지에서 빠져 나와도 할 말이 없다.
  3. 하나님이 내리시는 심판이 얼마나 무서운지를 잘 알고 있었으므로, 나는 차마 그런 파렴치한 짓은 할 수 없었다.
  4. 나는 황금을 믿지도 않고, 정금을 의지하지도 않았다.
  5. 내가 재산이 많다고 하여 자랑하지도 않고, 벌어들인 것이 많다고 하여 기뻐하지도 않았다.
  1. If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
  2. And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:
  3. This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.
  4. If I rejoice at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him:
  5. Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.
  1. 해가 찬란한 빛을 낸다고 하여, 해를 섬기지도 않고, 달이 밝고 아름답다고 하여, 달을 섬기지도 않았다.
  2. 해와 달을 보고, 그 장엄함과 아름다움에 반하여 그것에다가 절을 하는 사람들이 있다. 해와 달을 경배하는 표시로 제 손에 입을 맞추기도 한다. 그러나 나는 그렇게 하지 않았다.
  3. 그런 일은 높이 계신 하나님을 부인하는 것이므로, 벌로 사형을 받아도 마땅하다.
  4. 내 원수가 고통받는 것을 보고, 나는 기뻐한 적이 없다. 원수가 재난을 당할 때에도, 나는 기뻐하지 않았다.
  5. 나는 결코 원수들이 죽기를 바라는 기도를 하여 죄를 범한 적이 없다.
  1. If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.
  2. The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller.
  3. If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:
  4. Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?
  5. Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.
  1. 내 집에서 일하는 사람은 모두, 내가 언제나 나그네를 기꺼이 영접한다는 것을 잘 알고 있다.
  2. 나는 나그네가 길거리에서 잠자도록 내버려 둔 적이 없으며, 길손에게 내 집 문을 기꺼이 열어 주지 않은 적도 없다.
  3. 다른 사람들은 자기 죄를 감추려고 하지만, 그러나 나는 내 허물을 아주 감추지 않았다.
  4. 사람들이 무슨 말로 나를 헐뜯든지, 나는 그것을 전혀 두려워하지 않았다. 남에게서 비웃음을 받을까 하여, 입을 다물거나 집 안에서만 머무르거나 하지도 않았다.
  5. 내가 한 이 변명을 들어줄 사람이 없을까? 맹세코 나는 사실대로만 말하였다. 이제는, 전능하신 분께서 말씀하시는 대답을 듣고 싶다.
  1. Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me.
  2. I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him.
  3. If my land cry against me, or that the furrows likewise thereof complain;
  4. If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:
  5. Let thistles grow instead of wheat, and cockle instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
  1. 내 원수가 나를 고발하면서, 뭐라고 말하였지? 내가 저지른 죄과를 기록한 소송장이라도 있어서, 내가 읽어 볼 수만 있다면, 나는 그것을 자랑스럽게 어깨에 메고 다니고, 그것을 왕관처럼 머리에 얹고 다니겠다.
  2. 나는, 내가 한 모든 일을 그분께 낱낱이 말씀드리고 나서, 그분 앞에 떳떳이 서겠다.
  3. 내가 가꾼 땅이 훔친 것이라면, 땅 주인에게서 부당하게 빼앗은 것이라면,
  4. 땅에서 나는 소산을 공짜로 먹으면서 곡식을 기른 농부를 굶겨 죽였다면,
  5. 내 밭에서 밀 대신 찔레가 나거나 보리 대신 잡초가 돋아나더라도, 나는 기꺼이 받겠다.이것으로 욥의 말이 모두 끝났다.
