- For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
- I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
- My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
- Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
- How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

- 주님께서 내 장기를 창조하시고, 내 모태에서 나를 짜 맞추셨습니다.
- 내가 이렇게 빚어진 것이 오묘하고 주님께서 하신 일이 놀라워, 이 모든 일로 내가 주님께 감사를 드립니다. 내 영혼은 이 사실을 너무도 잘 압니다.
- 은밀한 곳에서 나를 지으셨고, 땅 속 깊은 곳 같은 저 모태에서 나를 조립하셨으니 내 뼈 하나하나도, 주님 앞에서는 숨길 수 없습니다.
- 나의 형질이 갖추어지기도 전부터, 주님께서는 나를 보고 계셨으며, 나에게 정하여진 날들이 아직 시작되기도 전에 이미 주님의 책에 다 기록되었습니다.
- 하나님, 주님의 생각이 어찌 그리도 심오한지요? 그 수가 어찌 그렇게도 많은지요?

- If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
- Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
- For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
- Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
- I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

- 내가 세려고 하면 모래보다 더 많습니다. 깨어나 보면 나는 여전히 주님과 함께 있습니다.
- 하나님, 오, 주님께서 악인을 죽여만 주신다면…! "피 흘리게 하기를 좋아하는 자들아, 내게서 물러가거라."
- 그들은 주님을 모욕하는 말을 하며, 주님의 이름을 거슬러 악한 말을 합니다.
- 주님, 주님을 미워하는 자들을 내가 어찌 미워하지 않으며, 주님께 대항하면서 일어나는 자들을 내가 어찌 미워하지 않겠습니까?
- 나는 그들을 너무나도 미워합니다. 그들이 바로 나의 원수들이기 때문입니다.

- Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
- And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

- 하나님, 나를 샅샅이 살펴보시고, 내 마음을 알아주십시오. 나를 철저히 시험해 보시고, 내가 걱정하는 바를 알아주십시오.
- 내가 나쁜 길을 가지나 않는지 나를 살펴보시고, 영원한 길로 나를 인도하여 주십시오.
