- Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
- And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
- But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
- Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
- For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

- 그러므로 여러분은 사랑을 받는 자녀답게, 하나님을 본받는 사람이 되십시오.
- 그리스도께서 여러분을 사랑하셔서, 우리를 위하여 하나님 앞에 향기로운 예물과 제물로 자기 몸을 내어주신 것과 같이, 여러분도 사랑으로 살아가십시오.
- 음행이나 온갖 더러운 행위나 탐욕은 그 이름조차도 여러분의 입에 담지 마십시오. 그렇게 하는 것이 성도에게 합당합니다.
- 더러운 말과 어리석은 말과 상스러운 농담은 여러분에게 어울리지 않습니다. 오히려 여러분은 감사에 찬 말을 하십시오.
- 여러분은 이것을 확실히 알아두십시오. 음행하는 자나 행실이 더러운 자나 탐욕을 부리는 자는 우상 숭배자여서, 그리스도와 하나님의 나라를 상속받을 몫이 없습니다.

- Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
- Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
- For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
- (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
- Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

- 여러분은 아무에게도 헛된 말로 속아넘어가지 마십시오. 이런 일 때문에, 하나님의 진노가 순종하지 않는 사람들에게 내리는 것입니다.
- 그러므로 여러분은 그런 사람들과 짝하지 마십시오.
- 여러분이 전에는 어둠이었으나, 지금은 주님 안에서 빛입니다. 빛의 자녀답게 사십시오.
- -빛의 열매는 모든 선과 의와 진실에 있습니다.-
- 주님께서 기뻐하시는 일이 무엇인지를 분별하십시오.

- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
- For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
- But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
- Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
- See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

- 여러분은 열매 없는 어둠의 일에 끼여들지 말고, 오히려 그것을 폭로하십시오.
- 그들이 몰래 하는 일들은 말하기조차 부끄러운 것들입니다.
- 빛이 폭로하면 모든 것이 드러나게 됩니다.
- 드러나는 것은 다 빛입니다. 그러므로, "잠자는 사람아, 일어나라. 죽은 사람 가운데서 일어서라. 그리스도께서 너를 환히 비추어 주실 것이다" 하는 말씀이 있습니다.
- 그러므로 여러분은 어떻게 살아가야 할지를 살피십시오. 지혜롭지 못한 사람처럼 살지 말고, 지혜로운 사람답게 살아야 합니다.

- Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
- Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
- And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
- Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
- Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

- 세월을 아끼십시오. 때가 악합니다.
- 그러므로 어리석은 자가 되지 말고, 주님의 뜻이 무엇인지를 깨달으십시오.
- 술에 취하지 마십시오. 거기에는 방탕이 따릅니다. 성령의 충만함을 받으십시오.
- 시와 찬미와 신령한 노래로 서로 화답하며, 여러분의 가슴으로 주님께 노래하며, 찬송하십시오.
- 모든 일에 언제나 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 하나님 아버지께 감사를 드리십시오.

- Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
- Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
- For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
- Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
- Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

- 여러분은 그리스도를 두려워하는 마음으로 서로 순종하십시오.
- 아내 된 이 여러분, 남편에게 하기를 주님께 하듯 하십시오.
- 그리스도께서 교회의 머리가 되심과 같이, 남편은 아내의 머리가 됩니다. 바로 그리스도께서는 몸의 구주이십니다.
- 교회가 그리스도께 순종하듯이, 아내도 모든 일에 남편에게 순종해야 합니다.
- 남편 된 이 여러분, 아내를 사랑하기를 그리스도께서 교회를 사랑하셔서 교회를 위하여 자신을 내주심 같이 하십시오.

- That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
- That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
- So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
- For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
- For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

- 그리스도께서 그렇게 하신 것은, 교회를 물로 씻고, 말씀으로 깨끗하게 하여서, 거룩하게 하시려는 것이며,
- 티나 주름이나 또 그와 같은 것들이 없이, 아름다운 모습으로 교회를 자기 앞에 내세우시려는 것이며, 교회를 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하시려는 것입니다.
- 이와 같이, 남편도 아내를 자기 몸과 같이 사랑해야 합니다. 자기 아내를 사랑하는 것은 곧 자기를 사랑하는 것입니다.
- 자기 육신을 미워한 사람은 없습니다. 누구나 자기 육신을 먹여 살리고 돌보기를 그리스도께서 교회를 그렇게 하시듯이 합니다.
- 우리는 그리스도의 몸의 지체입니다.

- For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
- This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
- Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

- 그러므로 사람이 부모를 떠나 자기 아내와 합하여 그 둘이 한 몸이 되는 것입니다.
- 이 비밀은 큽니다. 나는 그리스도와 교회를 두고 이 말을 합니다.
- 그러므로 여러분도 각각 자기 아내를 자기 몸 같이 사랑하고, 아내도 자기 남편을 존중하십시오.
