- A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
- He winketh with his eyes, he speaketh with his feet, he teacheth with his fingers;
- Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
- Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
- These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

- 건달과 악인은 그릇된 말이나 하며 돌아다닌다.
- 그들은 눈짓과 발짓과 손짓으로 서로 신호를 하며,
- 그 비뚤어진 마음으로 항상 악을 꾀하며, 싸움만 부추긴다.
- 그러므로 갑자기 닥쳐오는 재앙을 만나, 순식간에 망하고, 회복되지 못한다.
- 주님께서 미워하시는 것, 주님께서 싫어하시는 것이 예닐곱 가지이다.

- A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
- An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
- A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

- 교만한 눈과 거짓말하는 혀와 무죄한 사람을 피 흘리게 하는 손과
- 악한 계교를 꾸미는 마음과 악한 일을 저지르려고 치닫는 발과,
- 거짓으로 증거하는 사람과, 친구 사이를 이간하는 사람이다.
