예레미야 33:1-34:22

 하나님께서는 이스라엘과 유다 민족이 포로에서 해방될 것과 메시아를 통해 그들을 영원히 회복시켜 주실 것을 약속하셨다. 이 위로의 메시지를 전하고 난 후 예레미야는 유다의 함락과 시드기야의 포로됨과 죽음에 관해 예언하였고, 동족을 노예로 삼는 악행을 저질러 하나님의 규례를 어긴 유다 방백들과 백성들이 당할 징벌을 예고하였다.
  
  회복의 약속(33:1-33:26)    
 
  1. Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
  2. Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name;
  3. Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
  4. For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
  5. They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
  1. 예레미야가 여전히 근위대 뜰 안에 갇혀 있을 때에, 주님께서 그에게 두 번째로 말씀하셨다.
  2. 땅을 지으신 주님, 그것을 빚어서 제자리에 세우신 분께서 나에게 말씀하셨다. 그 이름이 '주'이신 분께서 말씀하셨다.
  3. "네가 나를 부르면, 내가 너에게 응답하겠고, 네가 모르는 크고 놀라운 비밀을 너에게 알려 주겠다."
  4. "바빌로니아 사람들이 흙 언덕을 쌓고 쳐들어와 무너뜨린 이 도성과 도성 안의 건물들과 유다 왕궁들을 두고, 나 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다.
  5. 유다가 뭉쳐서 바빌로니아 사람들과 대항하여 전쟁을 감행하였지만, 마침내, 나는 이 도성을 나의 분노와 노여움으로 죽은 사람들의 시체로 가득히 채웠다. 나는 그들의 모든 죄악 때문에 이 도성을 외면하였다.
  1. Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
  2. And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
  3. And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
  4. And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
  5. Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
  1. 그러나 보아라, 내가 이 도성을 치료하여 낫게 하겠고, 그 주민을 고쳐 주고, 그들이 평화와 참된 안전을 마음껏 누리게 하여 주겠다.
  2. 내가 유다의 포로와 이스라엘의 포로를 돌아오게 하여, 그들을 옛날과 같이 다시 회복시켜 놓겠다.
  3. 나는 그들이 나에게 지은 모든 죄악에서 그들을 깨끗이 씻어 주고, 그들이 나를 거역하여 저지른 그 모든 죄를 용서하여 주겠다.
  4. 그러면 세상 만민이 내가 예루살렘에서 베푼 모든 복된 일들을 듣게 될 것이며, 예루살렘은 나에게 기쁨과 찬양과 영광을 돌리는 이름이 될 것이다. 그리고 내가 이 도성에 베풀어 준 모든 복된 일과 평화를 듣고, 온 세계가 놀라며 떨 것이다.
  5. 나 주가 말한다. 너희들은 '이 곳이 황폐하여 사람도 없고 짐승도 없다'고 말하지만, 지금 황무지로 변하여, 사람도 없고 주민도 없고 짐승도 없는 유다의 성읍들과 예루살렘의 거리에 또다시,
  1. The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.
  2. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
  3. In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD.
  4. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
  5. In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
  1. 환호하며 기뻐하는 소리와 신랑 신부가 즐거워하는 소리와 감사의 찬양 소리가 들릴 것이다. 주의 성전에서 감사의 제물을 바치는 사람들이 이렇게 찬양할 것이다. '너희는 만군의 주님께 감사하여라! 진실로 주님은 선하시며, 진실로 그의 인자하심 영원히 변함이 없다.'내가 이 땅의 포로들을 돌아오게 하여 다시 옛날과 같이 회복시켜 놓겠다. 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 나 만군의 주가 말한다. 지금은 황폐하여 사람도 없고 짐승까지 없는 이 곳과 이 땅의 모든 성읍에, 다시 양 떼를 뉘어 쉬게 할 목자들의 초장이 생겨날 것이다.
  3. 산간지역의 성읍들과 평지의 성읍들과 남쪽의 성읍들과 베냐민 땅과 예루살렘의 사방과, 유다의 성읍들에서, 목자들이 그들이 치는 양을 셀 것이다. 나 주의 말이다."
  4. "나 주의 말이다. 보아라, 내가 이스라엘 가문과 유다 가문에 약속한 그 복된 약속을 이루어 줄 그 날이 오고 있다.
  5. 그 때 그 시각이 되면, 한 의로운 가지를 다윗에게서 돋아나게 할 것이니, 그가 세상에 공평과 정의를 실현할 것이다.
  1. In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The LORD our righteousness.
  2. For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
  3. Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
  4. And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,
  5. Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
  1. 그 때가 오면, 유다가 구원을 받을 것이며, 예루살렘이 안전한 거처가 될 것이다. 사람들이 예루살렘을 '주님은 우리의 구원이시다' 하는 이름으로 부를 것이다.
  2. 나 주가 말한다. 이스라엘 민족의 왕좌에 앉을 사람이 다윗에게서 끊어지지 않을 것이다.
  3. 레위 지파의 제사장 가운데서도, 나에게 번제물을 바치며 곡식제물을 살라 바치고 희생제물을 바칠 사람이 끊어지지 않을 것이다."
  4. 주님께서 예레미야에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
  5. "나 주가 말한다. 낮에 대한 나의 약정과 밤에 대한 나의 약정을 너희가 깨뜨려서, 낮과 밤이 제시간에 오지 못하게 할 수 있겠느냐?
  1. Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
  2. As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
  3. Moreover the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
  4. Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the LORD hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
  5. Thus saith the LORD; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
  1. 그런 일이 있을 수 없다면, 나의 종 다윗에게 세운 나의 언약도 깨지는 일이 없고, 다윗에게도 그의 왕좌에 앉아서 다스릴 자손이 끊어지는 일이 없고, 나를 섬기는 레위 지파의 제사장들에게 세운 나의 언약도 깨지는 일이 없을 것이다.
  2. 셀 수 없이 많은 하늘의 별처럼, 측량할 수 없이 많은 바다의 모래처럼, 내가 나의 종 다윗의 자손과 나를 섬기는 레위 사람들을 불어나게 하겠다."
  3. 주님께서 예레미야에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
  4. "너는 이 백성이 '주님께서는 자신이 택하신 두 족속을 버리셨다'고 말하는 것을 듣지 못하였느냐? 그래서 사람들이 내 백성을 멸시하고, 다시는 나라를 이루지 못할 것으로 여기고 있다.
  5. 나 주가 말한다. 나의 주야의 약정이 흔들릴 수 없고, 하늘과 땅의 법칙들이 무너질 수 없는 것과 마찬가지로,
  1. Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
  1. 야곱의 자손과 나의 종 다윗의 자손도, 내가 절대로 버리지 않을 것이며, 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 자손을 다스릴 통치자들을 다윗의 자손들 가운데서 세우는 나의 일도, 그치지 않을 것이다. 이제는 참으로 내가 이 백성을 불쌍히 여겨서, 그들 가운데서 포로가 된 사람들을 돌아오게 하겠다."
 
  시드기야와 백성들에 대한 경고(34:1-34:22)    
 
  1. The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities thereof, saying,
  2. Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire:
  3. And thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon.
  4. Yet hear the word of the LORD, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword:
  5. But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the LORD.
  1. 이 말씀은, 바빌로니아 왕 느부갓네살이, 자기의 모든 군대와 자기의 통치를 받고 있는 땅의 모든 왕국과 모든 백성을 이끌고, 예루살렘과 그 주변의 모든 성읍들을 공격하고 있을 때에, 주님께서 예레미야에게 하신 말씀이다.
  2. "나 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다. 너는 어서 유다 왕 시드기야에게 가서, 나의 말을 전하여라. 나 주가 말한다. 내가 이 도성을 바빌로니아 왕의 손에 넘겨 주어서, 그가 이 도성에 불을 지르게 하겠다.
  3. 너도 그의 손에서 벗어나지 못하고, 꼼짝없이 붙잡혀서 그의 손아귀에 들어갈 것이다. 너는 바빌로니아 왕 앞에 끌려 나가, 그의 얼굴을 직접 보게 될 것이며, 그는 너에게 항복을 요구할 것이다. 너는 바빌로니아로 끌려갈 것이다.
  4. 유다 왕 시드기야야, 나 주의 약속을 들어라. 내가 너에게 말한다. 시드기야야, 너는 칼에 찔려 죽지 않고,
  5. 평안히 죽을 것이다. 그리고 사람들은 네 조상 곧 너보다 먼저 살았던 선왕들의 죽음을 슬퍼하며 향불을 피웠던 것처럼, 네 죽음도 슬퍼하여 향불을 피우며 '슬픕니다, 임금님' 하면서, 너를 애도하여 조가를 부를 것이다. 이것은 내가 친히 약속하는 말이다. 나 주가 하는 말이다."
  1. Then Jeremiah the prophet spake all these words unto Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,
  2. When the king of Babylon's army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities remained of the cities of Judah.
  3. This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty unto them;
  4. That every man should let his manservant, and every man his maidservant, being an Hebrew or an Hebrewess, go free; that none should serve himself of them, to wit, of a Jew his brother.
  5. Now when all the princes, and all the people, which had entered into the covenant, heard that every one should let his manservant, and every one his maidservant, go free, that none should serve themselves of them any more, then they obeyed, and let them go.
  1. 예언자 예레미야가 예루살렘에서 유다 왕 시드기야에게 이 모든 말씀을 전하였다.
  2. 그 때에 바빌로니아 왕의 군대는 예루살렘과 유다의 남은 성읍들을 공격하고 있었는데, 그 당시 유다의 요새화된 성읍들 가운데서 남은 것이라고는 라기스와 아세가뿐이었다.
  3. 주님께서 예레미야에게 말씀하셨는데, 그 때에는 이미 유다 왕 시드기야가 종들에게 자유를 줄 것을 선포하는 언약을 예루살렘에 있는 모든 백성과 맺은 뒤였다.
  4. 이 언약은, 누구나 자기의 남종과 여종이 히브리 남자와 히브리 여자일 경우에, 그들을 자유인으로 풀어 주어서, 어느 누구도 동족인 유다 사람을 종으로 삼는 일이 없도록 한다는 것이었다.
  5. 모든 고관과 모든 백성은 이 계약에 동의하여, 각자 자기의 남종과 여종을 자유인으로 풀어 주고, 아무도 다시는 그들을 종으로 삼지 않기로 하고, 그들을 모두 풀어 주었다.
  1. But afterward they turned, and caused the servants and the handmaids, whom they had let go free, to return, and brought them into subjection for servants and for handmaids.
  2. Therefore the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
  3. Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,
  4. At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.
  5. And ye were now turned, and had done right in my sight, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:
  1. 그러나 그 뒤에 그들은 마음이 바뀌어, 그들이 이미 자유인으로 풀어 준 남녀 종들을 다시 데려다가, 남종과 여종으로 부렸다.
  2. 그 때에 주님께서 예레미야에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
  3. "나 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 말한다. 내가 너희 조상을 이집트 땅 곧 그들이 종살이하던 집에서 데리고 나올 때에, 그들과 언약을 세우며, 이렇게 명하였다.
  4. '동족인 히브리 사람이 너에게 팔려 온 지 칠 년째가 되거든, 그를 풀어 주어라. 그가 육 년 동안 너를 섬기면, 그 다음 해에는 네가 그를 자유인으로 풀어 주어서, 너에게서 떠나게 하여라.' 그러나 너희 조상은 나의 말을 듣지도 않았으며, 귀를 기울이지도 않았다.
  5. 그런데 최근에 와서야 너희가 비로소 마음을 돌이켜서, 각자 동족에게 자유를 선언하여 줌으로써, 내가 보기에 올바른 일을 하였다. 그것도 나를 섬기는 성전으로 들어와서, 내 앞에서 언약까지 맺으며 한 것이었다.
  1. But ye turned and polluted my name, and caused every man his servant, and every man his handmaid, whom he had set at liberty at their pleasure, to return, and brought them into subjection, to be unto you for servants and for handmaids.
  2. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
  3. And I will give the men that have transgressed my covenant, which have not performed the words of the covenant which they had made before me, when they cut the calf in twain, and passed between the parts thereof,
  4. The princes of Judah, and the princes of Jerusalem, the eunuchs, and the priests, and all the people of the land, which passed between the parts of the calf;
  5. I will even give them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.
  1. 그러나 너희가 또 돌아서서 내 이름을 더럽혀 놓았다. 너희가 각자의 남종과 여종들을 풀어 주어, 그들이 마음대로 자유인이 되게 하였으나, 너희는 다시 그들을 데려다가, 너희의 남종과 여종으로 부리고 있다.
  2. 그러므로 나 주가 말한다. 너희는 모두 너희의 친척, 너희의 동포에게 자유를 선언하라는 나의 명령을 듣지 않았다. 그러므로 보아라, 나도 너희에게 자유를 선언하여 너희가 전쟁과 염병과 기근으로 죽게 할 것이니, 세상의 모든 민족이 이것을 보고 무서워 떨 것이다. 나 주가 하는 말이다.
  3. 송아지를 두 조각으로 갈라 놓고, 그 사이로 지나가 내 앞에서 언약을 맺어 놓고서도, 그 언약의 조문을 지키지 않고 나의 언약을 위반한 그 사람들을, 내가 이제 그 송아지와 같이 만들어 놓겠다.
  4. 유다의 지도자들이나 예루살렘의 지도자들이나, 내시들이나 제사장들이나, 이 땅의 백성이나 할 것 없이, 갈라진 송아지 사이로 지나간 자들은 모조리
  5. 내가 그들의 목숨을 노리는 원수들의 손에 넘겨 주겠다. 그러면 그들의 시체가 공중의 새들과 들짐승들의 먹이가 될 것이다.
  1. And Zedekiah king of Judah and his princes will I give into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life, and into the hand of the king of Babylon's army, which are gone up from you.
  2. Behold, I will command, saith the LORD, and cause them to return to this city; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant.
  1. 유다 왕 시드기야와 그 고관들도 그들의 목숨을 노리는 원수들의 손에 넘겨 주고, 너희에게서 떠나가 있는 바빌로니아 왕의 군대의 손에 넘겨 주겠다.
  2. 보아라, 내가 명령을 내려서, 바빌로니아 왕의 군대를 이 도성으로 다시 불러다가, 그들이 이 도성을 공격하여 점령하게 하고 불을 지르게 하겠다. 내가 유다의 성읍들을 황무지로 만들어서, 아무도 살 수 없는 곳으로 만들겠다. 나 주의 말이다."
 
  비밀한( 33:3)  원어상 의미는 ‘도달할 수 없는 것’인데, 여기서는 하나님의 구속의 능력을 뜻함
