- 사람의 행위는 자기 눈에는 모두 깨끗하게 보이나, 주님께서는 속마음을 꿰뚫어 보신다.
- 네가 하는 일을 주님께 맡기면, 계획하는 일이 이루어질 것이다.
- 주님께서는 모든 것을 그 쓰임에 알맞게 만드셨으니, 악인은 재앙의 날에 쓰일 것이다.
- 주님께서는 마음이 거만한 모든 사람을 역겨워하시니, 그들은 틀림없이 벌을 받을 것이다.

- 사람의 행실이 주님을 기쁘시게 하면, 그의 원수라도 그와 화목하게 하여 주신다.
- 의롭게 살며 적게 버는 것이, 불의하게 살며 많이 버는 것보다 낫다.
- 사람이 마음으로 자기의 앞길을 계획하지만, 그 발걸음을 인도하시는 분은 주님이시다.
