- Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:
- For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them.
- Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
- Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
- Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts.

- 가난하다고 하여 그 가난한 사람에게서 함부로 빼앗지 말고, 고생하는 사람을 법정에서 압제하지 말아라.
- 주님께서 그들의 송사를 맡아 주시고, 그들을 노략하는 사람의 목숨을 빼앗으시기 때문이다.
- 성급한 사람과 사귀지 말고, 성을 잘 내는 사람과 함께 다니지 말아라.
- 네가 그 행위를 본받아서 그 올무에 걸려 들까 염려된다.
- 이웃의 손을 잡고 서약하거나, 남의 빚에 보증을 서지 말아라.
