스가랴

  본서는 스가랴 선지자가 주변 사람들과 사마리아인들의 방해로 성전 재건이 중단됨으로 인해 좌절한 백성들에게 용기를 주어 성전을 재건하게 하고, 메시아 도래의 영광을 바라보게 하기 위해 기록하였다.

  성전 건축을 완성하도록 격려하는 동안 스가랴는 여덟 가지의 환상을 보게 된다. 이 환상들은 유다와 예루살렘에 있는 유대인들을 하나님께서 보살피시며 통치하신다는 것과 이스라엘의 회심과 회복을 상징하는 것이었다. 한편 성전이 재건되고 있는데도 금식을 하는 것에 대해 의문을 제기하는 백성들에게 스가랴는 형식적인 금식보다는 순종과 회개를 강조한다. 성전이 재건된 후 스가랴는 메시아의 초림과 재림 및 통치에 대해서 예언한다.

 

 

스가랴 1:1-3:10

 열조의 악한 행실에서 떠나 야웨 앞으로 돌아오라는 하나님의 말씀을 선포한 스가랴는 여덟 가지의 환상을 보았다. 첫번째는 홍마 탄 자의 환상, 두번째는 네 뿔과 네 공장(工匠)의 환상, 세 번째는 척량줄을 잡은 자의 환상, 그리고 네번째는 야웨 앞에 선 대제사장 여호수아의 환상이었다.
  
  환상들(1:1-3:10)    
 
  1. In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
  2. The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
  3. Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.
  4. Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.
  5. Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
  1. 다리우스 왕 이년 여덟째 달에, 주님께서, 잇도의 손자이며 베레갸의 아들인 스가랴 예언자에게 말씀하셨다.
  2. "나 주가 너희 조상들에게는 크게 화를 내었다.
  3. 그러므로 너는 백성들에게 알려라. '만군의 주가 말한다. 너희는 나에게로 돌아오너라. 만군의 주가 말한다. 나도 너희에게로 돌아간다. 만군의 주가 말한다.'
  4. 너희는 너희 조상을 본받지 말아라. 일찍이 예언자들이, 만군의 주님께서 말씀하신다고 하면서, 너희의 조상에게, 악한 길과 악한 행동을 모두 버리고 어서 돌이키라고 외쳤다. 그러나 너희 조상은 나의 말을 듣지 않았다. 나의 말에 귀도 기울이지 않았다. 나 주의 말이다.
  5. 너희의 조상, 그들은 지금 어디에 있느냐? 그 때의 예언자들, 그들이 아직 살아 있느냐?
  1. But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
  2. Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
  3. I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.
  4. Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.
  5. And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.
  1. 내가 나의 종 예언자들을 시켜서 너희 조상에게 명한 나의 말과 규례를 그들이 듣지 않더니, 마침내 형벌을 받지 않았느냐? 그제서야 그들이 돌아와서 고백하기를, 만군의 주님께서는, 우리가 살아온 것과 우리가 행동한 것을 보시고서, 결심하신 대로 우리가 마땅히 받아야 할 벌을 내리셨다고 하였다."
  2. 다리우스 왕 이년 열한째 달에, 곧 스밧월 스무나흗날에, 주님께서 잇도의 손자이며 베레갸의 아들 스가랴 예언자에게 말씀하셨다.
  3. 지난밤에 내가 환상을 보니, 붉은 말을 탄 사람 하나가 골짜기에 있는 화석류나무 사이에 서 있고, 그 사람 뒤에는 붉은 말들과 밤색 말들과 흰 말들이 서 있었다.
  4. 그래서 내가 물었다. "천사님, 이 말들은 무엇입니까?" 내게 말하는 천사가 대답하였다. "이 말들이 무엇을 하는지, 내가 너에게 보여 주겠다."
  5. 그 때에, 화석류나무 사이에 서 있는 그 사람이 말하였다. "이 말들은 주님께서, 온 땅을 두루 다니면서 땅을 살펴보라고 보내신 말들이다."
  1. And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.
  2. Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?
  3. And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.
  4. So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
  5. And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.
  1. 그리고 말에 탄 사람들이 화석류나무 사이에 서 있는 주님의 천사에게 직접 보고하였다. "우리가 이 땅을 두루 다니면서 살펴보니, 온 땅이 조용하고 평안하였습니다."
  2. 주님의 천사가 주님께 아뢰었다. "만군의 주님, 언제까지 예루살렘과 유다의 성읍들을 불쌍히 여기지 않으시렵니까? 주님께서 그들에게 진노하신 지 벌써 칠십 년이나 되었습니다."
  3. 주님께서는 내게 말하는 천사를 좋은 말로 위로하셨다.
  4. 내게 말하는 천사가 내게 일러주었다. "너는 외쳐라. 만군의 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. '나는 예루살렘과 시온을 몹시 사랑한다.
  5. 그러나 안일한 생활을 즐기는 이방 나라들에게는, 크게 화가 난다. 나도 내 백성에게는 함부로 화를 내지 않는데, 이방 나라들은 내 백성을 내가 벌주는 것보다 더 심하게 괴롭힌다.
  1. Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
  2. Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
  3. Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
  4. And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
  5. And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.
  1. 그러므로 나 주가 이렇게 선언한다. 나는 예루살렘을 불쌍히 여기는 심정으로 이 도성에 돌아왔다. 그 가운데 내 집을 다시 세우겠다. 예루살렘 위에 측량줄을 다시 긋겠다. 나 만군의 주의 말이다.'
  2. 너는 또 외쳐라. '나 만군의 주가 말한다. 내 성읍마다 좋은 것들로 다시 풍성하게 될 것이다. 나 주가 다시 한 번 시온을 위로하겠다. 예루살렘은 다시 내가 택한 내 도성이 될 것이다.'"
  3. 내가 고개를 들어서 보니, 뿔 네 개가 내 앞에 나타났다.
  4. 나는 내게 말하는 천사에게 물었다. "이것은 무슨 뿔들입니까?" 그가 나에게 대답하였다. "이것들은 유다와 이스라엘과 예루살렘을 흩어 버린 뿔이다."
  5. 그 때에 주님께서 나에게 대장장이 네 명을 보여 주셨다.
  1. Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.
  1. 내가 여쭈었다. "이 사람들은 무슨 일을 하려고 온 사람들입니까?" 주님께서 나에게 대답하셨다. "이 뿔 넷은 유다 사람을 뿔뿔이 흩어지게 하여, 유다 사람이 감히 머리도 쳐들지 못하게 만든 나라들이다. 그러나 대장장이 넷은, 곧 유다 땅을 뿔로 들이받아 백성을 흩어 버린 이방 나라들을 떨게 하고, 그 이방 나라들의 뿔을 꺾으려고 온 사람들이다."
 
 
  1. I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.
  2. Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.
  3. And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
  4. And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:
  5. For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
  1. 내가 고개를 들어 보니, 측량줄을 가진 사람이 하나 나타났다.
  2. 내가 그에게 물었다. "어디로 가십니까?" 그가 나에게 대답하였다. "예루살렘을 재서, 그 너비와 길이가 얼마나 되는지 알려고 간다."
  3. 그 때에 내게 말하는 천사가 앞으로 나아가자 다른 천사가 그를 맞으려고 나아와서,
  4. 그에게 말하였다. "너는 저 젊은이에게 달려가서 이렇게 알려라. '예루살렘 안에 사람과 짐승이 많아져서, 예루살렘이 성벽으로 두를 수 없을 만큼 커질 것이다.
  5. 바깥으로는 내가 예루살렘의 둘레를 불로 감싸 보호하는 불 성벽이 되고, 안으로는 내가 그 안에 살면서 나의 영광을 드러내겠다. 나 주의 말이다.
  1. Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.
  2. Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
  3. For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
  4. For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.
  5. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
  1. 어서 너희는 북쪽 땅에서 도망쳐 나오너라! 나 주의 말이다. 내가 너희를 하늘 아래에서 사방으로 부는 바람처럼 흩어지게 하였지만, 이제는 어서 나오너라. 나 주의 말이다.
  2. 바빌론 도성에서 살고 있는 시온 백성아, 어서 빠져 나오너라!'"
  3. "만군의 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 주님께서 나에게 영광스러운 임무를 맡기시고, 너희를 약탈한 민족에게로 나를 보내시면서 말씀하신다. '너희에게 손대는 자는 곧 주님의 눈동자를 건드리는 자다.
  4. 내가 손을 들어 그들을 치면, 그들은 저희가 부리던 종에게 노략질을 당할 것이다.' 그 때에야 비로소 너희는 만군의 주님께서 나를 보내셨음을 알게 될 것이다."
  5. "도성 시온아, 기뻐하며 노래를 불러라. 내가 간다. 내가 네 안에 머무르면서 살겠다. 나 주의 말이다."
  1. And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
  2. And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
  3. Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
  1. 그 날에, 많은 이방 백성들이 주님께 와서 그의 백성이 될 것이며, 주님께서 예루살렘에 머무르시면서, 너희와 함께 사실 것이다. 그 때에야 너희는, 만군의 주님께서 나를 너희에게 보내셨음을 알게 될 것이다.
  2. 주님께서는 그 거룩한 땅에서 유다를 특별한 소유로 삼으실 것이며, 예루살렘을 가장 사랑하는 도성으로 선택하실 것이다.
  3. 육체를 지닌 모든 사람은 주님 앞에서 잠잠하여라. 주님께서 그 거룩한 거처에서 일어나셨다!
 
 
  1. And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
  2. And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
  3. Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
  4. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
  5. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
  1. 주님께서 나에게 보여 주시는데, 내가 보니, 여호수아 대제사장이 주님의 천사 앞에 서 있고, 그의 오른쪽에는 그를 고소하는 사탄이 서 있었다.
  2. 주님께서 사탄에게 말씀하셨다. "사탄아, 나 주가 너를 책망한다. 예루살렘을 사랑하여 선택한 나 주가 너를 책망한다. 이 사람은 불에서 꺼낸 타다 남은 나무토막이다."
  3. 그 때에 여호수아는 냄새 나는 더러운 옷을 입고 천사 앞에 서 있었다.
  4. 천사가 자기 앞에 서 있는 다른 천사들에게, 그 사람이 입고 있는 냄새 나는 더러운 옷을 벗기라고 이르고 나서, 여호수아에게 말하였다. "보아라, 내가 너의 죄를 없애 준다. 이제, 너에게 거룩한 예식에 입는 옷을 입힌다."
  5. 그 때에 내가, 그의 머리에 깨끗한 관을 씌워 달라고 말하니, 천사들이 그의 머리에 깨끗한 관을 씌우며, 거룩한 예식에 입는 옷을 입혔다. 그 동안 주님의 천사가 줄곧 곁에 서 있었다.
  1. And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
  2. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
  3. Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
  4. For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
  5. In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
  1. 주님의 천사가 여호수아에게 경고하였다.
  2. "만군의 주님께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. '네가 내 도를 준행하며 내 율례를 지키면 네가 내 집을 다스릴 것이요 내 뜰을 지킬 것이며 여기에서 섬기는 사람들 사이를 자유로이 출입하게 할 것이다.
  3. 여호수아 대제사장은 들어라. 여기 여호수아 앞에 앉아 있는 여호수아의 동료들도 함께 잘 들어라. 너희는 모두 앞으로 나타날 일의 표가 되는 사람들이다. 내가 이제 새싹이라고 부르는 나의 종을 보내겠다.
  4. 나 만군의 주가 말한다. 내가 여호수아 앞에 돌 한 개를 놓는다. 그것은 일곱 눈을 가진 돌이다. 나는 그 돌에 내가 이 땅의 죄를 하루 만에 없애겠다는 글을 새긴다.
  5. 나 만군의 주가 말한다. 그 날이 오면, 너희는 서로 자기 포도나무와 무화과나무 아래로 이웃을 초대할 것이다.'"
