  1. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
  2. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
  3. All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
  4. Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
  5. Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
  1. Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
  2. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.
  3. All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces adorned with ivory the music of the strings makes you glad.
  4. Daughters of kings are among your honored women; at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.
  5. Listen, O daughter, consider and give ear: Forget your people and your father's house.
  1. So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
  2. And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
  3. The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
  4. She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
  5. With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.
  1. The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.
  2. The Daughter of Tyre will come with a gift, men of wealth will seek your favor.
  3. All glorious is the princess within her chamber ; her gown is interwoven with gold.
  4. In embroidered garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions follow her and are brought to you.
  5. They are led in with joy and gladness; they enter the palace of the king.
  1. Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
  2. I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
  1. Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land.
  2. I will perpetuate your memory through all generations; therefore the nations will praise you for ever and ever.
