- Judge not, that ye be not judged.
- For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
- And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
- Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
- Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
|
- "Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
- "For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
- "Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
- "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye?
- "You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

- Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
- Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
- For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
- Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
- Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
|
- "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
- "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
- "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
- "Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?
- "Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?
|
- If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
- Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
- Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
- Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
|
- "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
- "In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
- "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
- "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
