  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  2. This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest:
  3. And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper;
  4. Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:
  5. And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:
  1. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  2. "This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing. Now he shall be brought to the priest,
  3. and the priest shall go out to the outside of the camp. Thus the priest shall look, and if the infection of leprosy has been healed in the leper,
  4. then the priest shall give orders to take two live clean birds and cedar wood and a scarlet string and hyssop for the one who is to be cleansed.
  5. "The priest shall also give orders to slay the one bird in an earthenware vessel over running water.
  1. As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:
  2. And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.
  3. And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.
  4. But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.
  5. And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.
  1. "As for the live bird, he shall take it together with the cedar wood and the scarlet string and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was slain over the running water.
  2. "He shall then sprinkle seven times the one who is to be cleansed from the leprosy and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the live bird go free over the open field.
  3. "The one to be cleansed shall then wash his clothes and shave off all his hair and bathe in water and be clean Now afterward, he may enter the camp, but he shall stay outside his tent for seven days.
  4. "It will be on the seventh day that he shall shave off all his hair: he shall shave his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair. He shall then wash his clothes and bathe his body in water and be clean.
  5. "Now on the eighth day he is to take two male lambs without defect, and a yearling ewe lamb without defect, and three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and one log of oil;
  1. And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
  2. And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
  3. And he shall slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place: for as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering: it is most holy:
  4. And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
  5. And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:
  1. and the priest who pronounces him clean shall present the man to be cleansed and the aforesaid before the LORD at the doorway of the tent of meeting.
  2. "Then the priest shall take the one male lamb and bring it for a guilt offering, with the log of oil, and present them as a wave offering before the LORD.
  3. "Next he shall slaughter the male lamb in the place where they slaughter the sin offering and the burnt offering, at the place of the sanctuary--for the guilt offering, like the sin offering, belongs to the priest; it is most holy.
  4. "The priest shall then take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.
  5. "The priest shall also take some of the log of oil, and pour it into his left palm;
  1. And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:
  2. And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:
  3. And the remnant of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD.
  4. And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:
  5. And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.
  1. the priest shall then dip his right-hand finger into the oil that is in his left palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of the oil seven times before the LORD.
  2. "Of the remaining oil which is in his palm, the priest shall put some on the right ear lobe of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering;
  3. while the rest of the oil that is in the priest's palm, he shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed. So the priest shall make atonement on his behalf before the LORD.
  4. "The priest shall next offer the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from his uncleanness. Then afterward, he shall slaughter the burnt offering.
  5. "The priest shall offer up the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. Thus the priest shall make atonement for him, and he will be clean.
  1. And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;
  2. And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.
  3. And he shall bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the LORD.
  4. And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:
  5. And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:
  1. "But if he is poor and his means are insufficient, then he is to take one male lamb for a guilt offering as a wave offering to make atonement for him, and one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and a log of oil,
  2. and two turtledoves or two young pigeons which are within his means, the one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.
  3. "Then the eighth day he shall bring them for his cleansing to the priest, at the doorway of the tent of meeting, before the LORD.
  4. "The priest shall take the lamb of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the priest shall offer them for a wave offering before the LORD.
  5. "Next he shall slaughter the lamb of the guilt offering; and the priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.
  1. And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand:
  2. And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD:
  3. And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering:
  4. And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the LORD.
  5. And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get;
  1. "The priest shall also pour some of the oil into his left palm;
  2. and with his right-hand finger the priest shall sprinkle some of the oil that is in his left palm seven times before the LORD.
  3. "The priest shall then put some of the oil that is in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the guilt offering.
  4. "Moreover, the rest of the oil that is in the priest's palm he shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement on his behalf before the LORD.
  5. "He shall then offer one of the turtledoves or young pigeons, which are within his means.
  1. Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed before the LORD.
  2. This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosy, whose hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his cleansing.
  3. And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
  4. When ye be come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession;
  5. And he that owneth the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, It seemeth to me there is as it were a plague in the house:
  1. "He shall offer what he can afford, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, together with the grain offering. So the priest shall make atonement before the LORD on behalf of the one to be cleansed.
  2. "This is the law for him in whom there is an infection of leprosy, whose means are limited for his cleansing."
  3. The LORD further spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:
  4. "When you enter the land of Canaan, which I give you for a possession, and I put a mark of leprosy on a house in the land of your possession,
  5. then the one who owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, 'Something like a mark of leprosy has become visible to me in the house.'
  1. Then the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:
  2. And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow strakes, greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall;
  3. Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days:
  4. And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look: and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house;
  5. Then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them into an unclean place without the city:
  1. "The priest shall then command that they empty the house before the priest goes in to look at the mark, so that everything in the house need not become unclean; and afterward the priest shall go in to look at the house.
  2. "So he shall look at the mark, and if the mark on the walls of the house has greenish or reddish depressions and appears deeper than the surface,
  3. then the priest shall come out of the house, to the doorway, and quarantine the house for seven days.
  4. "The priest shall return on the seventh day and make an inspection. If the mark has indeed spread in the walls of the house,
  5. then the priest shall order them to tear out the stones with the mark in them and throw them away at an unclean place outside the city.
  1. And he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the dust that they scrape off without the city into an unclean place:
  2. And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other morter, and shall plaister the house.
  3. And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plaistered;
  4. Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house; it is unclean.
  5. And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.
  1. "He shall have the house scraped all around inside, and they shall dump the plaster that they scrape off at an unclean place outside the city.
  2. "Then they shall take other stones and replace those stones, and he shall take other plaster and replaster the house.
  3. "If, however, the mark breaks out again in the house after he has torn out the stones and scraped the house, and after it has been replastered,
  4. then the priest shall come in and make an inspection. If he sees that the mark has indeed spread in the house, it is a malignant mark in the house; it is unclean.
  5. "He shall therefore tear down the house, its stones, and its timbers, and all the plaster of the house, and he shall take them outside the city to an unclean place.
  1. Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.
  2. And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.
  3. And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.
  4. And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:
  5. And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:
  1. "Moreover, whoever goes into the house during the time that he has quarantined it, becomes unclean until evening.
  2. "Likewise, whoever lies down in the house shall wash his clothes, and whoever eats in the house shall wash his clothes.
  3. "If, on the other hand, the priest comes in and makes an inspection and the mark has not indeed spread in the house after the house has been replastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean because the mark has not reappeared.
  4. "To cleanse the house then, he shall take two birds and cedar wood and a scarlet string and hyssop,
  5. and he shall slaughter the one bird in an earthenware vessel over running water.
  1. And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times:
  2. And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet:
  3. But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.
  4. This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall,
  5. And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house,
  1. "Then he shall take the cedar wood and the hyssop and the scarlet string, with the live bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird as well as in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.
  2. "He shall thus cleanse the house with the blood of the bird and with the running water, along with the live bird and with the cedar wood and with the hyssop and with the scarlet string.
  3. "However, he shall let the live bird go free outside the city into the open field. So he shall make atonement for the house, and it will be clean."
  4. This is the law for any mark of leprosy--even for a scale,
  5. and for the leprous garment or house,
  1. And for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot:
  2. To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.
  1. and for a swelling, and for a scab, and for a bright spot--
  2. to teach when they are unclean and when they are clean. This is the law of leprosy.
