  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  2. Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.
  3. Without the vail of the testimony, in the tabernacle of the congregation, shall Aaron order it from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations.
  4. He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.
  5. And thou shalt take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth deals shall be in one cake.
  1. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  2. "Command the sons of Israel that they bring to you clear oil from beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually.
  3. "Outside the veil of testimony in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD continually; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations.
  4. "He shall keep the lamps in order on the pure gold lampstand before the LORD continually.
  5. "Then you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it; two-tenths of an ephah shall be in each cake.
  1. And thou shalt set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure table before the LORD.
  2. And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
  3. Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.
  4. And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
  5. And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;
  1. "You shall set them in two rows, six to a row, on the pure gold table before the LORD.
  2. "You shall put pure frankincense on each row that it may be a memorial portion for the bread, even an offering by fire to the LORD.
  3. "Every sabbath day he shall set it in order before the LORD continually; it is an everlasting covenant for the sons of Israel.
  4. "It shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from the LORD'S offerings by fire, his portion forever."
  5. Now the son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the sons of Israel; and the Israelite woman's son and a man of Israel struggled with each other in the camp.
  1. And the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of the Lord, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)
  2. And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.
  3. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  4. Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
  5. And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
  1. The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name and cursed. So they brought him to Moses. (Now his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.)
  2. They put him in custody so that the command of the LORD might be made clear to them.
  3. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
  4. "Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head; then let all the congregation stone him.
  5. "You shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'If anyone curses his God, then he will bear his sin.
  1. And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.
  2. And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.
  3. And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.
  4. And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;
  5. Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.
  1. 'Moreover, the one who blasphemes the name of the LORD shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The alien as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.
  2. 'If a man takes the life of any human being, he shall surely be put to death.
  3. 'The one who takes the life of an animal shall make it good, life for life.
  4. 'If a man injures his neighbor, just as he has done, so it shall be done to him:
  5. fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; just as he has injured a man, so it shall be inflicted on him.
  1. And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.
  2. Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.
  3. And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.
  1. 'Thus the one who kills an animal shall make it good, but the one who kills a man shall be put to death.
  2. 'There shall be one standard for you; it shall be for the stranger as well as the native, for I am the LORD your God.'"
  3. Then Moses spoke to the sons of Israel, and they brought the one who had cursed outside the camp and stoned him with stones. Thus the sons of Israel did, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
  2. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.
  3. Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
  4. But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
  5. That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
  1. The LORD then spoke to Moses at Mount Sinai, saying,
  2. "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you come into the land which I shall give you, then the land shall have a sabbath to the LORD.
  3. 'Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its crop,
  4. but during the seventh year the land shall have a sabbath rest, a sabbath to the LORD; you shall not sow your field nor prune your vineyard.
  5. 'Your harvest's aftergrowth you shall not reap, and your grapes of untrimmed vines you shall not gather; the land shall have a sabbatical year.
  1. And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee.
  2. And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
  3. And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
  4. Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
  5. And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
  1. 'All of you shall have the sabbath products of the land for food; yourself, and your male and female slaves, and your hired man and your foreign resident, those who live as aliens with you.
  2. 'Even your cattle and the animals that are in your land shall have all its crops to eat.
  3. 'You are also to count off seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years, so that you have the time of the seven sabbaths of years, namely, forty-nine years.
  4. 'You shall then sound a ram's horn abroad on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement you shall sound a horn all through your land.
  5. 'You shall thus consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim a release through the land to all its inhabitants It shall be a jubilee for you, and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.
  1. A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
  2. For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
  3. In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.
  4. And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another:
  5. According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:
  1. 'You shall have the fiftieth year as a jubilee; you shall not sow, nor reap its aftergrowth, nor gather in from its untrimmed vines.
  2. 'For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat its crops out of the field.
  3. 'On this year of jubilee each of you shall return to his own property.
  4. 'If you make a sale, moreover, to your friend or buy from your friend's hand, you shall not wrong one another.
  5. 'Corresponding to the number of years after the jubilee, you shall buy from your friend; he is to sell to you according to the number of years of crops.
  1. According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.
  2. Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God:for I am the LORD your God.
  3. Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
  4. And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
  5. And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
  1. 'In proportion to the extent of the years you shall increase its price, and in proportion to the fewness of the years you shall diminish its price, for it is a number of crops he is selling to you.
  2. 'So you shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.
  3. 'You shall thus observe My statutes and keep My judgments, so as to carry them out, that you may live securely on the land.
  4. 'Then the land will yield its produce, so that you can eat your fill and live securely on it.
  5. 'But if you say, "What are we going to eat on the seventh year if we do not sow or gather in our crops?"
  1. Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
  2. And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
  3. The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
  4. And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
  5. If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.
  1. then I will so order My blessing for you in the sixth year that it will bring forth the crop for three years.
  2. 'When you are sowing the eighth year, you can still eat old things from the crop, eating the old until the ninth year when its crop comes in.
  3. 'The land, moreover, shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are but aliens and sojourners with Me.
  4. 'Thus for every piece of your property, you are to provide for the redemption of the land.
  5. 'If a fellow countryman of yours becomes so poor he has to sell part of his property, then his nearest kinsman is to come and buy back what his relative has sold.
  1. And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;
  2. Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
  3. But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
  4. And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.
  5. And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
  1. 'Or in case a man has no kinsman, but so recovers his means as to find sufficient for its redemption,
  2. then he shall calculate the years since its sale and refund the balance to the man to whom he sold it, and so return to his property.
  3. 'But if he has not found sufficient means to get it back for himself, then what he has sold shall remain in the hands of its purchaser until the year of jubilee; but at the jubilee it shall revert, that he may return to his property.
  4. 'Likewise, if a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then his redemption right remains valid until a full year from its sale; his right of redemption lasts a full year.
  5. 'But if it is not bought back for him within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city passes permanently to its purchaser throughout his generations; it does not revert in the jubilee.
  1. But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.
  2. Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.
  3. And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
  4. But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.
  1. 'The houses of the villages, however, which have no surrounding wall shall be considered as open fields; they have redemption rights and revert in the jubilee.
  2. 'As for cities of the Levites, the Levites have a permanent right of redemption for the houses of the cities which are their possession.
  3. 'What, therefore, belongs to the Levites may be redeemed and a house sale in the city of this possession reverts in the jubilee, for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the sons of Israel.
  4. 'But pasture fields of their cities shall not be sold, for that is their perpetual possession.
