  1. For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
  2. Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
  3. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
  4. Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.
  5. The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.
  1. Yet God is my king from of old, Who works deeds of deliverance in the midst of the earth.
  2. You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.
  3. You crushed the heads of Leviathan; You gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.
  4. You broke open springs and torrents; You dried up ever-flowing streams.
  5. Yours is the day, Yours also is the night; You have prepared the light and the sun.
  1. Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
  2. Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.
  3. O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
  4. Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
  5. O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.
  1. You have established all the boundaries of the earth; You have made summer and winter.
  2. Remember this, O LORD, that the enemy has reviled, And a foolish people has spurned Your name.
  3. Do not deliver the soul of Your turtledove to the wild beast; Do not forget the life of Your afflicted forever.
  4. Consider the covenant; For the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence.
  5. Let not the oppressed return dishonored; Let the afflicted and needy praise Your name.
  1. Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.
  2. Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.
  1. Arise, O God, and plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man reproaches You all day long.
  2. Do not forget the voice of Your adversaries, The uproar of those who rise against You which ascends continually.
