창세기 3:1-4:26

 여자가 뱀의 유혹을 받아 하나님께서 금하신 선악을 알게 하는 나무의 실과를 먹고 아담에게도 먹게 하였다. 이를 아신 하나님께서는 뱀과 여자와 아담에게 저주와 고통과 죽음을 선언하셨다. 에덴 동산에서 쫓겨난 아담과 하와는 가인과 아벨을 낳았다. 이들이 장성하여 하나님께 제물을 드렸는데, 하나님께서 아벨의 제물만 열납하시자 이를 본 가인은 아벨을 죽이고 놋 땅에 거했다.
  
  인간의 타락(3:1-3:24)    
 
  1. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
  2. And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
  3. But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
  4. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
  5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
  1. さて， 神である 主が 造られたあらゆる 野の ¿のうちで， 蛇が 一番 ··であった． 蛇は 女に 言った． 「あなたがたは， 園のどんな 木からも 食べてはならない， と 神は， ほんとうに 言われたのですか． 」
  2. 女は 蛇に 言った． 「私たちは， 園にある 木の 實を 食べてよいのです．
  3. しかし， 園の 中央にある 木の 實について， 神は， 『あなたがたは， それを 食べてはならない． それに 觸れてもいけない． あなたがたが 死ぬといけないからだ． 』と 仰せになりました． 」
  4. そこで， 蛇は 女に 言った． 「あなたがたは 決して 死にません．
  5. あなたがたがそれを 食べるその 時， あなたがたの 目が 開け， あなたがたが 神のようになり， 善惡を 知るようになることを 神は 知っているのです． 」
  1. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
  2. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
  3. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
  4. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
  5. And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
  1. そこで 女が 見ると， その 木は， まことに 食べるのに 良く， 目に 慕わしく， 賢くするというその 木はいかにも 好ましかった． それで 女はその 實を 取って 食べ， いっしょにいた 夫にも 與えたので， 夫も 食べた．
  2. このようにして， ふたりの 目は 開かれ， それで 彼らは 自分たちが 裸であることを 知った． そこで， 彼らは， いちじくの 葉をつづり 合わせて， 自分たちの 腰のおおいを 作った．
  3. そよ 風の 吹くころ， 彼らは 園を 步き 回られる 神である 主の 聲を 聞いた． それで 人とその 妻は， 神である 主の 御顔を 避けて 園の 木の 間に 身を 隱した．
  4. 神である 主は， 人に 呼びかけ， 彼に 仰せられた． 「あなたは， どこにいるのか． 」
  5. 彼は 答えた． 「私は 園で， あなたの 聲を 聞きました． それで 私は 裸なので， 恐れて， 隱れました． 」
  1. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
  2. And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
  3. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
  4. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
  5. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
  1. すると， 仰せになった． 「あなたが 裸であるのを， だれがあなたに 敎えたのか． あなたは， 食べてはならない， と 命じておいた 木から 食べたのか． 」
  2. 人は 言った． 「あなたが 私のそばに 置かれたこの 女が， あの 木から 取って 私にくれたので， 私は 食べたのです． 」
  3. そこで， 神である 主は 女に 仰せられた． 「あなたは， いったいなんということをしたのか． 」女は 答えた． 「蛇が 私を 惑わしたのです． それで 私は 食べたのです． 」
  4. 神である 主は 蛇に 仰せられた． 「おまえが， こんな 事をしたので， おまえは， あらゆる 家畜， あらゆる 野の ¿よりものろわれる． おまえは， 一生， 腹ばいで 步き， ちりを 食べなければならない．
  5. わたしは， おまえと 女との 間に， また， おまえの 子孫と 女の 子孫との 間に， 敵意を 置く． 彼は， おまえの 頭を 踏み ¿き， おまえは， 彼のかかとにかみつく． 」
  1. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
  2. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
  3. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
  4. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
  5. And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
  1. 女にはこう 仰せられた． 「わたしは， あなたのみごもりの 苦しみを 大いに 增す． あなたは， 苦しんで 子を 産まなければならない． しかも， あなたは 夫を 戀い 慕うが， 彼は， あなたを 支配することになる． 」
  2. また， アダム に 仰せられた． 「あなたが， 妻の 聲に 聞き 從い， 食べてはならないとわたしが 命じておいた 木から 食べたので， 土地は， あなたのゆえにのろわれてしまった． あなたは， 一生， 苦しんで 食を 得なければならない．
  3. 土地は， あなたのために， いばらとあざみを 生えさせ， あなたは， 野の 草を 食べなければならない．
  4. あなたは， 顔に 汗を 流して 糧を 得， ついに， あなたは 土に 歸る． あなたはそこから 取られたのだから． あなたはちりだから， ちりに 歸らなければならない． 」
  5. さて， 人は， その 妻の 名を エバ と 呼んだ． それは， 彼女がすべて 生きているものの 母であったからである．
  1. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
  2. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
  3. Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
  4. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
  1. 神である 主は， アダム とその 妻のために， 皮の 衣を 作り， 彼らに 着せてくださった．
  2. 神である 主は 仰せられた． 「見よ． 人はわれわれのひとりのようになり， 善惡を 知るようになった． 今， 彼が， 手を 伸ばし， いのちの 木からも 取って 食べ， 永遠に 生きないように． 」
  3. そこで 神である 主は， 人を エデン の 園から 追い 出されたので， 人は 自分がそこから 取り 出された 土を 耕すようになった．
  4. こうして， 神は 人を 追放して， いのちの 木への 道を 守るために， エデン の 園の 東に， ケルビム と 輪を 描いて 回る 炎の 劍を 置かれた．
 
  가인과 아벨(4:1-4:26)    
 
  1. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
  2. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
  3. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.
  4. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
  5. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
  1. 人は， その 妻 エバ を 知った． 彼女はみごもって カイン を 産み， 「私は， 主によってひとりの 男子を 得た． 」と 言った．
  2. 彼女は， それからまた， 弟 アベル を 産んだ． アベル は 羊を 飼う 者となり， カイン は 土を 耕す 者となった．
  3. ある 時期になって， カイン は， 地の 作物から 主へのささげ 物を 持って 來た．
  4. また， アベル は 彼の 羊の 初子の 中から， それも 最良のものを， それも 自分自身で， 持って 來た． 主は， アベル とそのささげ 物とに 目を 留められた．
  5. だが， カイン とそのささげ 物には 目を 留められなかった． それで， カイン はひどく 怒り， 顔を 伏せた．
  1. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
  2. If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
  3. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
  4. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
  5. And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
  1. そこで， 主は， カイン に 仰せられた． 「なぜ， あなたは 憤っているのか． なぜ， 顔を 伏せているのか．
  2. あなたが 正しく 行なったのであれば， 受け 入れられる． ただし， あなたが 正しく 行なっていないのなら， 罪は 戶口で 待ち 伏せして， あなたを 戀い 慕っている． だが， あなたは， それを 治めるべきである． 」
  3. しかし， カイン は 弟 アベル に 話しかけた． 「野に 行こうではないか． 」そして， ふたりが 野にいたとき， カイン は 弟 アベル に 襲いかかり， 彼を 殺した．
  4. 主は カイン に， 「あなたの 弟 アベル は， どこにいるのか． 」と 問われた． カイン は 答えた． 「知りません． 私は， 自分の 弟の 番人なのでしょうか． 」
  5. そこで， 仰せられた． 「あなたは， いったいなんということをしたのか． 聞け． あなたの 弟の 血が， その 土地からわたしに 叫んでいる．
  1. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
  2. When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
  3. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
  4. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
  5. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
  1. 今や， あなたはその 土地にのろわれている． その 土地は 口を 開いてあなたの 手から， あなたの 弟の 血を 受けた．
  2. それで， あなたがその 土地を 耕しても， 土地はもはや， あなたのためにその 力を 生じない． あなたは 地上をさまよい 步くさすらい 人となるのだ． 」
  3. カイン は 主に 申し 上げた． 「私の 咎は， 大きすぎて， にないきれません．
  4. ああ， あなたはきょう 私をこの 土地から 追い 出されたので， 私はあなたの 御顔から 隱れ， 地上をさまよい 步くさすらい 人とならなければなりません． それで， 私に 出會う 者はだれでも， 私を 殺すでしょう． 」
  5. 主は 彼に 仰せられた． 「それだから， だれでも カイン を 殺す 者は， 七倍の 復讐を 受ける． 」そこで 主は， 彼に 出會う 者が， だれも 彼を 殺すことのないように， カイン に 一つのしるしを 下さった．
  1. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
  2. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
  3. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.
  4. And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
  5. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.
  1. それで， カイン は， 主の 前から 去って， エデン の 東， ノデ の 地に 住みついた．
  2. さて， カイン は， その 妻を 知った． 彼女はみごもり， エノク を 産んだ． カイン は 町を 建てていたので， 自分の 子の 名にちなんで， その 町に エノク という 名をつけた．
  3. エノク には イラデ が 生まれた． イラデ には メフヤエル が 生まれ， メフヤエル には メトシャエル が 生まれ， メトシャエル には レメク が 生まれた．
  4. レメク はふたりの 妻をめとった． ひとりの 名は アダ ， 他のひとりの 名は ツィラ であった．
  5. アダ は ヤバル を 産んだ． ヤバル は 天幕に 住む 者， 家畜を 飼う 者の 先祖となった．
  1. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
  2. And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.
  3. And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
  4. If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
  5. And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
  1. その 弟の 名は ユバル であった． 彼は 立琴と 笛を 巧みに 奏するすべての 者の 先祖となった．
  2. ツィラ もまた， トバル · カイン を 産んだ． 彼は 靑銅と 鐵のあらゆる 用具の 鍛冶屋であった． トバル · カイン の 妹は， ナアマ であった．
  3. さて， レメク はその 妻たちに 言った． 「アダ と ツィラ よ． 私の 聲を 聞け． レメク の 妻たちよ． 私の 言うことに 耳を 傾けよ． 私の 受けた 傷のためには， ひとりの 人を， 私の 受けた 打ち 傷のためには， ひとりの 若者を 殺した．
  4. カイン に 七倍の 復讐があれば， レメク には 七十七倍． 」
  5. アダム は， さらに， その 妻を 知った． 彼女は 男の 子を 産み， その 子を セツ と 名づけて 言った． 「カイン が アベル を 殺したので， 彼の 代わりに， 神は 私にもうひとりの 子を 授けられたから． 」
  1. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.
  1. セツ にもまた 男の 子が 生まれた． 彼は， その 子を エノシュ と 名づけた． そのとき， 人¿は 主の 御名によって 祈ることを 始めた．
