- And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
- And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
- And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
- And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
- But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

- イエス が 舟にお 乘りになると， 弟子たちも 從った．
- すると， 見よ， 湖に 大暴風が 起こって， 舟は 大波をかぶった． ところが， イエス は 眠っておられた．
- 弟子たちは イエス のみもとに 來て， イエス を 起こして 言った． 「主よ． 助けてください． 私たちはおぼれそうです． 」
- イエス は 言われた． 「なぜこわがるのか， 信仰の 薄い 者たちだ． 」それから， 起き 上がって， 風と 湖をしかりつけられると， 大なぎになった．
- 人¿は 驚いてこう 言った． 「風や 湖までが 言うことをきくとは， いったいこの 方はどういう 方なのだろう． 」

- And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.
- And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
- And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.
- So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.
- And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

- それから， 向こう 岸の ガダラ 人の 地にお 着きになると， 惡靈につかれた 人がふたり 墓から 出て 來て， イエス に 出會った． 彼らはひどく 狂暴で， だれもその 道を 通れないほどであった．
- すると， 見よ， 彼らはわめいて 言った． 「神の 子よ． いったい 私たちに 何をしようというのです． まだその 時ではないのに， もう 私たちを 苦しめに 來られたのですか． 」
- ところで， そこからずっと 離れた 所に， たくさんの 豚の 群れが 飼ってあった．
- それで， 惡靈どもは イエス に 願ってこう 言った． 「もし 私たちを 追い 出そうとされるのでしたら， どうか 豚の 群れの 中にやってください． 」
- イエス は 彼らに「行け． 」と 言われた． すると， 彼らは 出て 行って 豚にはいった． すると， 見よ， その 群れ 全體がどっとがけから 湖へ 驅け 降りて 行って， 水におぼれて 死んだ．

- And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
- And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

- 飼っていた 者たちは 逃げ 出して 町に 行き， 惡靈につかれた 人たちのことなどを 殘らず 知らせた．
- すると， 見よ， 町中の 者が イエス に 會いに 出て 來た． そして， イエス に 會うと， どうかこの 地方を 立ち 去ってくださいと 願った．
