- And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
- And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
- And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
- And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
- And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

- それから イエス は， たとえを 用いて 彼らに 話し 始められた． 「ある 人がぶどう 園を 造って， 垣を 巡らし， 酒ぶねを 掘り， やぐらを 建て， それを 農夫たちに 貸して， 旅に 出かけた．
- 季節になると， ぶどう 園の 收穫の 分けまえを 受け 取りに， しもべを 農夫たちのところへ 遣わした．
- ところが， 彼らは， そのしもべをつかまえて 袋だたきにし， 何も 持たせないで 送り 歸した．
- そこで， もう 一度別のしもべを 遣わしたが， 彼らは， 頭をなぐり， はずかしめた．
- また 別のしもべを 遣わしたところが， 彼らは， これも 殺してしまった． 續いて， 多くのしもべをやったけれども， 彼らは 袋だたきにしたり， 殺したりした．

- Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
- But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our's.
- And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
- What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
- And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

- その 人には， なおもうひとりの 者がいた． それは 愛する 息子であった． 彼は， 『私の 息子なら， 敬ってくれるだろう． 』と 言って， 最後にその 息子を 遣わした．
- すると， その 農夫たちはこう 話し 合った． 『あれはあと 取りだ． さあ， あれを 殺そうではないか． そうすれば， 財産はこちらのものだ． 』
- そして， 彼をつかまえて 殺してしまい， ぶどう 園の 外に 投げ 捨てた．
- ところで， ぶどう 園の 主人は， どうするでしょう． 彼は 戾って 來て， 農夫どもを 打ち 滅ぼし， ぶどう 園をほかの 人たちに 與えてしまいます．
- あなたがたは， 次の 聖書のことばを 讀んだことがないのですか． 『家を 建てる 者たちの 見捨てた 石， それが 礎の 石になった．

- This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
- And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
- And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
- And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
- Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.

- これは 主のなさったことだ． 私たちの 目には， 不思議なことである． 』」
- 彼らは， このたとえ 話が， 自分たちをさして 語られたことに 氣づいたので， イエス を 捕えようとしたが， やはり 群衆を 恐れた． それで， イエス を 殘して， 立ち 去った．
- さて， 彼らは， イエス に 何か 言わせて， わなに 陷れようとして， パリサイ 人と ヘロデ 黨の 者數人を イエス のところへ 送った．
- 彼らは イエス のところに 來て， 言った． 「先生． 私たちは， あなたが 眞實な 方で， だれをもはばからない 方だと 存じています． あなたは 人の 顔色を 見ず， 眞理に 基づいて 神の 道を 敎えておられるからです． ところで， カイザル に 稅金を 納めることは 律法にかなっていることでしょうか， かなっていないことでしょうか． 納めるべきでしょうか， 納めるべきでないのでしょうか． 」
- イエス は 彼らの 擬裝を 見拔いて 言われた． 「なぜ， わたしをためすのか． デナリ 銀貨を 持って 來て 見せなさい． 」

- And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
- And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

- 彼らは 持って 來た． そこで イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「これはだれの 肖像ですか． だれの 銘ですか． 」彼らは， 「カイザル のです． 」と 言った．
- すると イエス は 言われた． 「カイザル のものは カイザル に 返しなさい． そして 神のものは 神に 返しなさい． 」彼らは イエス に 驚嘆した．
