민수기 24:1-25:18

 모압 왕 발락은 복술가 발람으로 하여금 이스라엘을 저주하게 하려고 했으나, 하나님의 신은 발람으로 하여금 오히려 이스라엘을 축복하도록 역사하셨다. 한편 모압 여자들과 음행하고 그들의 우상을 섬기기 시작한 이스라엘은 하나님의 진노와 징벌을 받음으로써 한 분 하나님만을 섬겨야 됨을 다시금 배우게 되었다.
  
  발람의 예언(24:1-24:25)    
 
  1. And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
  2. And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
  3. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
  4. He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
  5. How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
  1. バラム は イスラエル を 祝福することが 主の 御心にかなうのを 見， これまでのように， まじないを 求めに 行くことをせず， その 顔を 荒野に 向けた．
  2. バラム が 目を 上げて， イスラエル がその 部族ごとに 宿っているのをながめたとき， 神の 靈が 彼の 上に 臨んだ．
  3. 彼は 彼のことわざを 唱えて 言った． 「ベオル の 子 バラム の 告げたことば． 目のひらけた 者の 告げたことば．
  4. 神の 御告げを 聞く 者， 全能者の 幻を 見る 者， ひれ 伏して， 目のおおいを 除かれた 者の 告げたことば．
  5. なんと 美しいことよ． ヤコブ よ， あなたの 天幕は． イスラエル よ， あなたの 住まいは．
  1. As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
  2. He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
  3. God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
  4. He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
  5. And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
  1. それは， 延び 廣がる 谷間のように， 川邊の 園のように， 主が 植えた アロエ のように， 水邊の 杉の 木のように．
  2. その 手おけからは 水があふれ， その 種は 豊かな 水に 潤う． その 王は アガグ よりも 高くなり， その 王國はあがめられる．
  3. 彼を エジプト から 連れ 出した 神は， 彼にとっては 野牛の 角のようだ． 彼はおのれの 敵の 國¿を 食い 盡くし， 彼らの 骨を ¿き， 彼らの 矢を 粉¿にする．
  4. 雄獅子のように， また 雌獅子のように， 彼はうずくまり， 身を 橫たえる． だれがこれを 起こすことができよう． あなたを 祝福する 者は 祝福され， あなたをのろう 者はのろわれる． 」
  5. そこで バラク は バラム に 對して 怒りを 燃やし， 手を 打ち 鳴らした． バラク は バラム に 言った． 「私の 敵をのろうためにあなたを 招いたのに， かえってあなたは 三度までも 彼らを 祝福した．
  1. Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
  2. And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,
  3. If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
  4. And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
  5. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
  1. 今， あなたは 自分のところに 下がれ． 私はあなたを 手厚くもてなすつもりでいたが， 主がもう， そのもてなしを 拒まれたのだ． 」
  2. バラム は バラク に 言った． 「私はあなたがよこされた 使者たちにこう 言ったではありませんか．
  3. 『たとい， バラク が 私に 銀や 金の 滿ちた 彼の 家をくれても， 主のことばにそむいては， 善でも 惡でも， 私の 心のままにすることはできません． 主が 告げられること， それを 私は 告げなければなりません． 』
  4. 今， 私は 私の 民のところに 歸ります． さあ， 私は， この 民が 後の 日にあなたの 民に 行なおうとしていることをあなたのために 申し 上げましょう． 」
  5. そして 彼のことわざを 唱えて 言った． 「ベオル の 子 バラム の 告げたことば． 目のひらけた 者の 告げたことば．
  1. He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
  2. I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
  3. And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
  4. Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
  5. And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
  1. 神の 御告げを 聞く 者， いと 高き 方の 知識を 知る 者， 全能者の 幻を 見る 者， ひれ 伏して， 目のおおいを 除かれた 者の 告げたことば．
  2. 私は 見る． しかし 今ではない． 私は 見つめる． しかし 間近ではない． ヤコブ から 一つの 星が 上り， イスラエル から 一本の 杖が 起こり， モアブ のこめかみと， すべての ¿ぎ 立つ 者の 腦天を 打ち ¿く．
  3. その 敵， エドム は 所有地となり， セイル も 所有地となる． イスラエル は 力ある ¿きをする．
  4. ヤコブ から 出る 者が 治め， 殘った 者たちを 町から 消し 去る． 」
  5. 彼は アマレク を 見渡して 彼のことわざを 唱えて 言った． 「アマレク は 國¿の 中で 首位のもの． しかしその 終わりは 滅びに 至る． 」
  1. And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
  2. Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
  3. And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!
  4. And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
  5. And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
  1. 彼は ケニ 人を 見渡して 彼のことわざを 唱えて 言った． 「あなたの 住みかは 堅固であり， あなたの 巢は 岩間の 中に 置かれている．
  2. しかし， カイン は 滅ぼし 盡くされ， ついには アシュル があなたをとりこにする． 」
  3. 彼はまた 彼のことわざを 唱えて 言った． 「ああ， 神が 定められたなら， だれが 生きのびることができよう．
  4. 船が キティム の 岸から 來て， アシュル を 惱まし， エベル を 惱ます． しかし， これもまた 滅びに 至る． 」
  5. それから バラム は 立って 自分のところへ 歸って 行った． バラク もまた 歸途についた．
 
  이스라엘의 우상 숭배(25:1-25:18)    
 
  1. And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
  2. And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
  3. And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
  4. And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
  5. And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
  1. イスラエル は シティム にとどまっていたが， 民は モアブ の 娘たちと， みだらなことをし 始めた．
  2. 娘たちは， 自分たちの 神¿にいけにえをささげるのに， 民を 招いたので， 民は 食し， 娘たちの 神¿を 拜んだ．
  3. こうして イスラエル は， バアル · ペオル を 慕うようになったので， 主の 怒りは イスラエル に 對して 燃え 上がった．
  4. 主は モ ― セ に 言われた． 「この 民のかしらたちをみな 捕えて， 白日のもとに 彼らを 主の 前でさらし 者にせよ． 主の 燃える 怒りは イスラエル から 離れ 去ろう． 」
  5. そこで モ ― セ は イスラエル のさばきつかさたちに 言った． 「あなたがたは， おのおの 自分の 配下の バアル · ペオル を 慕った 者たちを 殺せ． 」
  1. And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
  2. And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
  3. And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
  4. And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
  5. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  1. モ ― セ と イスラエル 人の 全會衆が 會見の 天幕の 入口で 泣いていると， 彼らの 目の 前に， ひとりの イスラエル 人が， その 兄弟たちのところにひとりの ミデヤン 人の 女を 連れてやって 來た．
  2. 祭司 アロン の 子 エルアザル の 子 ピネハス はそれを 見るや， 會衆の 中から 立ち 上がり， 手に 槍を 取り，
  3. その イスラエル 人のあとを 追って テント の 奧の 部屋にはいり， イスラエル 人とその 女とをふたりとも， 腹を 刺し 通して 殺した． すると イスラエル 人への 神罰がやんだ．
  4. この 神罰で 死んだ 者は， 二万四千人であった．
  5. 主は モ ― セ に 告げて 仰せられた．
  1. Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
  2. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
  3. And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
  4. Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.
  5. And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
  1. 「祭司 アロン の 子 エルアザル の 子 ピネハス は， わたしのねたみを イスラエル 人の 間で 自分のねたみとしたことで， わたしの 憤りを 彼らから 引っ ¿めさせた． わたしは， わたしのねたみによって イスラエル 人を 絶ち 滅ぼすことはしなかった．
  2. それゆえ， 言え． 『見よ． わたしは 彼にわたしの 平和の 契約を 與える．
  3. これは， 彼とその 後の 彼の 子孫にとって， 永遠にわたる 祭司職の 契約となる． それは 彼がおのれの 神のためにねたみを 表わし， イスラエル 人の ·いをしたからである． 』」
  4. その 殺された イスラエル 人， ミデヤン 人の 女といっしょに 殺された 者の 名は， シメオン 人の 父の 家の 長 サル の 子 ジムリ であった．
  5. また 殺された ミデヤン 人の 女の 名は ツル の 娘 コズビ であった． ツル は ミデヤン の 父の 家の 氏族のかしらであった．
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  2. Vex the Midianites, and smite them:
  3. For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake.
  1. 主は モ ― セ に 告げて 仰せられた．
  2. 「ミデヤン 人を 襲い， 彼らを 打て．
  3. 彼らは 巧妙にたくらんだたくらみで， あなたがたを 襲って ペオル の 事件を 引き 起こし， ペオル の 事件の 神罰の 日に 殺された 彼らの 同族の 女， ミデヤン の 族長の 娘 コズビ の 事件を 引き 起こしたからだ． 」
 
  쇠미(衰微, 24:22)  점차 소멸되어 감
