- And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.
- And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner.
- And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
- Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?
- But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you.

- イエス が 話し 終えられると， ひとりの パリサイ 人が， 食事をいっしょにしてください， とお 願いした． そこで イエス は 家にはいって， 食卓に 着かれた．
- その パリサイ 人は， イエス が 食事の 前に， まずきよめの 洗いをなさらないのを 見て， 驚いた．
- すると， 主は 言われた． 「なるほど， あなたがた パリサイ 人は， 杯や 大皿の 外側はきよめるが， その 內側は， 强奪と 邪惡とでいっぱいです．
- 愚かな 人たち． 外側を 造られた 方は， 內側も 造られたのではありませんか．
- とにかく， うちのものを 施しに 用いなさい． そうすれば， いっさいが， あなたがたにとってきよいものとなります．

- But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
- Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.
- Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.
- Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
- And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

- だが， 忌まわしいものだ． パリサイ 人． あなたがたは， はっか， うん 香， あらゆる 野菜などの 十分の 一を 納めているが， 公義と 神への 愛とはなおざりにしています． これこそ， 實行しなければならない 事がらです． ただし 他のほうも， なおざりにしてはいけません．
- 忌まわしいものだ． パリサイ 人． あなたがたは， 會堂の 上席や， 市場であいさつされることが 好きです．
- 忌まわしいことだ． あなたがたは， 人目につかぬ 墓のようで， その 上を 步く 人¿も 氣がつかない． 」
- すると， ある 律法の 專門家が， 答えて 言った． 「先生． そのようなことを 言われることは， 私たちをも 侮辱することです． 」
- しかし， イエス は 言われた． 「あなたがた 律法の 專門家たちも 忌まわしいものだ． あなたがたは， 人¿には 負いきれない 荷物を 負わせるが， 自分は， その 荷物に 指一本もさわろうとはしない．

- Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
- Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.
- Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:
- That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
- From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

- 忌まわしいことだ． あなたがたは， 預言者たちの 墓を 建てている． しかし， あなたがたの 先祖は 預言者たちを 殺したのです．
- そのようにして， あなたがたは， 自分の 先祖のしたことの 證人となり， それを 認めています． なぜなら， あなたがたの 先祖が 預言者たちを 殺し， あなたがたがその 墓を 建てているからです．
- だから， 神の 知惠もこう 言いました． 『わたしは 預言者たちや 使徒たちを 彼らに 遣わすが， 彼らは， そのうちのある 者を 殺し， ある 者を 迫害する．
- 世の 初めから 流されたすべての 預言者の 血の 責任を， この 時代が 問われるためである．
- それは， アベル の 血から， 祭壇と 神の 家との 間で 殺された ザカリヤ の 血に 至るまでの， （V.50揷入 ）そうだ． わたしは 言う． この 時代はその 責任を 問われる． 』

- Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.
- And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:
- Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

- 忌まわしいものだ． 律法の 專門家たち． あなたがたは， 知識のかぎを 持ち 去り， 自分もはいらず， はいろうとする 人¿をも 妨げたのです． 」
- イエス がそこを 出て 行かれると， 律法學者， パリサイ 人たちの イエス に 對する 激しい 敵對と， いろいろのことについてのしつこい 質問攻めとが 始まった．
- 彼らは， イエス の 口から 出ることに， 言いがかりをつけようと， ひそかに 計った．
