- Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,
- Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
- There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
- And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.
- And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.

- ところが， 復活があることを 否定する サドカイ 人のある 者たちが， イエス のところに 來て， 質問して，
- こう 言った． 「先生． モ ― セ は 私たちのためにこう 書いています． 『もし， ある 人の 兄が 妻をめとって 死に， しかも 子がなかったばあいは， その 弟はその 女を 妻にして， 兄のための 子をもうけなければならない． 』
- ところで， 七人の 兄弟がいました． 長男は 妻をめとりましたが， 子どもがなくて 死にました．
- 次男も，
- 三男もその 女をめとり， 七人とも 同じようにして， 子どもを 殘さずに 死にました．

- Last of all the woman died also.
- Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.
- And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
- But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
- Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

- あとで， その 女も 死にました．
- すると 復活の 際， その 女はだれの 妻になるでしょうか． 七人ともその 女を 妻としたのですが． 」
- イエス は 彼らに 言われた． 「この 世の 子らは， めとったり， とついだりするが，
- 次の 世にはいるのにふさわしく， 死人の 中から 復活するのにふさわしい， と 認められる 人たちは， めとることも， とつぐこともありません．
- 彼らはもう 死ぬことができないからです． 彼らは 御使いのようであり， また， 復活の 子として 神の 子どもだからです．

- Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
- For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
- Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.
- And after that they durst not ask him any question at all.
- And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?

- それに， 死人がよみがえることについては， モ ― セ も 柴の 個所で， 主を， 『アブラハム の 神， イサク の 神， ヤコブ の 神． 』と 呼んで， このことを 示しました．
- 神は 死んだ 者の 神ではありません． 生きている 者の 神です． というのは， 神に 對しては， みなが 生きているからです． 」
- 律法學者のうちのある 者たちが 答えて， 「先生． りっぱなお 答えです． 」と 言った．
- 彼らはもうそれ 以上何も 質問する 勇氣がなかった．
- すると， イエス が 彼らに 言われた． 「どうして 人¿は， キリスト を ダビデ の 子と 言うのですか．

- And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
- Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
- David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?
- Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples,
- Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

- ダビデ 自身が 詩篇の 中でこう 言っています． 『主は 私の 主に 言われた．
- 「わたしが， あなたの 敵をあなたの 足台とする 時まで， わたしの 右の 座に 着いていなさい． 」』
- こういうわけで， ダビデ が キリスト を 主と 呼んでいるのに， どうして キリスト が ダビデ の 子でしょう． 」
- また， 民衆がみな 耳を 傾けているときに， イエス は 弟子たちにこう 言われた．
- 「律法學者たちには 氣をつけなさい． 彼らは， 長い 衣をまとって 步き 回ったり， 廣場であいさつされたりすることが 好きで， また 會堂の 上席や 宴會の 上座が 好きです．

- Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

- また， やもめの 家を 食いつぶし， 見えを 飾るために 長い 祈りをします． こういう 人たちは 人一倍きびしい 罰を 受けるのです． 」
