- And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
- Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
- For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
- And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
- And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

- それから， 弟子たちに 言われた． 「わたしがあなたがたを， 財布も 旅行袋もくつも 持たせずに 旅に 出したとき， 何か 足りない 物がありましたか． 」彼らは 言った． 「いいえ． 何もありませんでした． 」
- そこで 言われた． 「しかし， 今は， 財布のある 者は 財布を 持ち， 同じく 袋を 持ち， 劍のない 者は 着物を 賣って 劍を 買いなさい．
- あなたがたに 言いますが， 『彼は 罪人たちの 中に 數えられた． 』と 書いてあるこのことが， わたしに 必ず 實現するのです． わたしにかかわることは 實現します． 」
- 彼らは 言った． 「主よ． このとおり， ここに 劍が 二振りあります． 」 イエス は 彼らに， 「それで 十分． 」と 言われた．
- それから イエス は 出て， いつものように オリ ― ブ 山に 行かれ， 弟子たちも 從った．

- And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
- And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
- Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
- And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
- And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

- いつもの 場所に 着いたとき， イエス は 彼らに， 「誘惑に 陷らないように 祈っていなさい． 」と 言われた．
- そしてご 自分は， 弟子たちから 石を 投げて 屆くほどの 所に 離れて， ひざまずいて， こう 祈られた．
- 「父よ． みこころならば， この 杯をわたしから 取りのけてください． しかし， わたしの 願いではなく， みこころのとおりにしてください． 」
- すると， 御使いが 天から イエス に 現われて， イエス を 力づけた．
- イエス は， 苦しみもだえて， いよいよ 切に 祈られた． 汗が 血のしずくのように 地に 落ちた．

- And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
- And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
- And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
- But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
- When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

- イエス は 祈り 終わって 立ち 上がり， 弟子たちのところに 來て 見ると， 彼らは 悲しみの 果てに， 眠り ¿んでしまっていた．
- それで， 彼らに 言われた． 「なぜ， 眠っているのか． 起きて， 誘惑に 陷らないように 祈っていなさい． 」
- イエス がまだ 話をしておられるとき， 群衆がやって 來た． 十二弟子のひとりで， ユダ という 者が， 先頭に 立っていた． ユダ は イエス に 口づけしようとして， みもとに 近づいた．
- だが， イエス は 彼に， 「ユダ ． 口づけで， 人の 子を 裏切ろうとするのか． 」と 言われた．
- イエス の 回りにいた 者たちは， 事の 成り 行きを 見て， 「主よ． 劍で 打ちましょうか． 」と 言った．

- And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
- And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
- Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
- When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.

- そしてそのうちのある 者が， 大祭司のしもべに 擊ってかかり， その 右の 耳を 切り 落とした．
- すると イエス は， 「やめなさい． それまで． 」と 言われた． そして， 耳にさわって 彼を 直してやられた．
- そして 押しかけて 來た 祭司長， 宮の 守衛長， 長老たちに 言われた． 「まるで 强盜にでも 向かうように， 劍や 棒を 持ってやって 來たのですか．
- あなたがたは， わたしが 每日宮でいっしょにいる 間は， わたしに 手出しもしなかった． しかし， 今はあなたがたの 時です． 暗やみの 力です． 」
