사도행전 26:1-26:32

 아그립바 앞에 선 바울은 다메섹에서의 회심 체험과 그리스도의 십자가와 부활, 그리고 이방 선교의 타당성에 대해 조리 있고 담대하게 설명하였다. 결국 아그립바와 베스도는 그에게 무죄를 선언하였다.
  
  아그립바 앞에서의 변론(26:1-26:23)    
 
  1. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
  2. I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
  3. Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
  4. My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
  5. Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
  1. すると， アグリッパ が パウロ に， 「あなたは， 自分の 言い 分を 申し 述べてよろしい． 」と 言った． そこで パウロ は， 手を 差し 伸べて 弁明し 始めた．
  2. 「アグリッパ 王． 私が ユダヤ 人に 訴えられているすべてのことについて， きょう， あなたの 前で 弁明できることを， 幸いに 存じます．
  3. 特に， あなたが ユダヤ 人の 慣習や 問題に 精通しておられるからです． どうか， 私の 申し 上げることを， 忍耐をもってお 聞きくださるよう， お 願いいたします．
  4. では 申し 述べますが， 私が 最初から 私の 國民の 中で， また エルサレム において 過ごした 若い 時からの 生活ぶりは， すべての ユダヤ 人の 知っているところです．
  5. 彼らは 以前から 私を 知っていますので， 證言するつもりならできることですが， 私は， 私たちの 宗敎の 最も 嚴格な 派に 從って， パリサイ 人として 生活してまいりました．
  1. And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
  2. Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
  3. Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
  4. I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
  5. Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
  1. そして 今， 神が 私たちの 先祖に 約束されたものを 待ち 望んでいることで， 私は 裁判を 受けているのです．
  2. 私たちの 十二部族は， 夜も ¿も 熱心に 神に 仕えながら， その 約束のものを 得たいと 望んでおります． 王よ． 私は， この 希望のために ユダヤ 人から 訴えられているのです．
  3. 神が 死者をよみがえらせるということを， あなたがたは， なぜ 信じがたいこととされるのでしょうか．
  4. 以前は， 私自身も， ナザレ 人 イエス の 名に 强硬に 敵對すべきだと 考えていました．
  5. そして， それを エルサレム で 實行しました． 祭司長たちから 權限を 授けられた 私は， 多くの 聖徒たちを 牢に 入れ， 彼らが 殺されるときには， それに 贊成の 票を 投じました．
  1. And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
  2. Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
  3. At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
  4. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
  5. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
  1. また， すべての 會堂で， しばしば 彼らを 罰しては， 强いて 御名をけがすことばを 言わせようとし， 彼らに 對する 激しい 怒りに 燃えて， ついには 國外の 町¿にまで 彼らを 追跡して 行きました．
  2. このようにして， 私は 祭司長たちから 權限と 委任を 受けて， ダマスコ へ 出かけて 行きますと，
  3. その 途中， 正午ごろ， 王よ， 私は 天からの 光を 見ました． それは 太陽よりも 明るく 輝いて， 私と 同行者たちとの 回りを 照らしたのです．
  4. 私たちはみな 地に 倒れましたが， そのとき 聲があって， ヘブル 語で 私にこう 言うのが 聞こえました． 『サウロ ， サウロ ． なぜわたしを 迫害するのか． とげのついた 棒をけるのは， あなたにとって 痛いことだ． 』
  5. 私が『主よ． あなたはどなたですか． 』と 言いますと， 主がこう 言われました． 『わたしは， あなたが 迫害している イエス である．
  1. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
  2. Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
  3. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
  4. Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
  5. But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
  1. 起き 上がって， 自分の 足で 立ちなさい． わたしがあなたに 現われたのは， あなたが 見たこと， また， これから 後わたしがあなたに 現われて 示そうとすることについて， あなたを 奉仕者， また 證人に 任命するためである．
  2. わたしは， この 民と 異邦人との 中からあなたを 救い 出し， 彼らのところに 遣わす．
  3. それは 彼らの 目を 開いて， 暗やみから 光に， サタン の 支配から 神に 立ち 返らせ， わたしを 信じる 信仰によって， 彼らに 罪の 赦しを 得させ， 聖なるものとされた 人¿の 中にあって 御國を 受け 繼がせるためである． 』
  4. こういうわけで， アグリッパ 王よ， 私は， この 天からの 啓示にそむかず，
  5. ダマスコ にいる 人¿をはじめ エルサレム にいる 人¿に， また ユダヤ の 全地方に， さらに 異邦人にまで， 悔い 改めて 神に 立ち 返り， 悔い 改めにふさわしい 行ないをするようにと 宣べ 傳えて 來たのです．
  1. For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
  2. Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
  3. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
  1. そのために， ユダヤ 人たちは 私を 宮の 中で 捕え， 殺そうとしたのです．
  2. こうして， 私はこの 日に 至るまで 神の 助けを 受け， 堅く 立って， 小さい 者にも 大きい 者にもあかしをしているのです． そして， 預言者たちや モ ― セ が， 後に 起こるはずだと 語ったこと 以外は 何も 話しませんでした．
  3. すなわち， キリスト は 苦しみを 受けること， また， 死者の 中からの 復活によって， この 民と 異邦人とに 最初に 光を 宣べ 傳える， ということです． 」
 
  무죄 판결(26:24-26:32)    
 
  1. And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
  2. But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
  3. For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
  4. King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
  5. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
  1. パウロ がこのように 弁明していると， フェスト が 大聲で， 「氣が 狂っているぞ． パウロ ． 博學があなたの 氣を 狂わせている． 」と 言った．
  2. すると パウロ は 次のように 言った． 「フェスト 閣下． 氣は 狂っておりません． 私は， まじめな 眞理のことばを 話しています．
  3. 王はこれらのことをよく 知っておられるので， 王に 對して 私は 率直に 申し 上げているのです． これらのことは 片隅で 起こった 出來事ではありませんから， そのうちの 一つでも 王の 目に 留まらなかったものはないと 信じます．
  4. アグリッパ 王． あなたは 預言者を 信じておられますか． もちろん 信じておられると 思います． 」
  5. すると アグリッパ は パウロ に， 「あなたは， わずかなことばで， 私を キリスト 者にしようとしている． 」と 言った．
  1. And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
  2. And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
  3. And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
  4. Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
  1. パウロ はこう 答えた． 「ことばが 少なかろうと， 多かろうと， 私が 神に 願うことは， あなたばかりでなく， きょう 私の 話を 聞いている 人がみな， この 鎖は 別として， 私のようになってくださることです． 」
  2. ここで 王と 總督と ベルニケ ， および 同席の 人¿が 立ち 上がった．
  3. 彼らは 退場してから， 互いに 話し 合って 言った． 「あの 人は， 死や 投獄に 相當することは 何もしていない． 」
  4. また アグリッパ は フェスト に， 「この 人は， もし カイザル に 上訴しなかったら， 釋放されたであろうに． 」と 言った．
