- They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
- Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
- Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
- Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
- But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.

- 彼らは 自分たちの 救い 主である 神を 忘れた． エジプト で 大いなることをなさった 方を．
- ハム の 地では 奇しいわざを， 葦の 海のほとりでは 恐ろしいわざを， 行なわれた 方を．
- それゆえ， 神は， 「彼らを 滅ぼす． 」と 言われた． もし， 神に 選ばれた 人 モ ― セ が， 滅ぼそうとする 激しい 憤りを 避けるために， 御前の 破れに 立たなかったなら， どうなっていたことか．
- しかも 彼らは 麗しい 地をさげすみ， 神のみことばを 信ぜず，
- 自分たちの 天幕でつぶやき， 主の 御聲を 聞かなかった．
