로마서 3:9-3:31

 바울은 모든 인간은 하나님 앞에 죄인임을 밝히면서, 죄인된 인간이 구원받을 수 있는 길은 오직 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음뿐이라고 강조하였다.
  
  전인류의 죄(3:9-3:18)    
 
  1. What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
  2. As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
  3. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
  4. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
  5. Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
  1. では， どうなのでしょう． 私たちは 他の 者にまさっているのでしょうか． 決してそうではありません． 私たちは 前に， ユダヤ 人も ギリシヤ 人も， すべての 人が 罪の 下にあると 責めたのです．
  2. それは， 次のように 書いてあるとおりです． 「義人はいない． ひとりもいない．
  3. 悟りのある 人はいない． 神を 求める 人はいない．
  4. すべての 人が 迷い 出て， みな， ともに 無益な 者となった． 善を 行なう 人はいない． ひとりもいない． 」
  5. 「彼らののどは， 開いた 墓であり， 彼らはその 舌で 欺く． 」「彼らのくちびるの 下には， まむしの 毒があり， 」
  1. Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
  2. Their feet are swift to shed blood:
  3. Destruction and misery are in their ways:
  4. And the way of peace have they not known:
  5. There is no fear of God before their eyes.
  1. 「彼らの 口は， のろいと 苦さで 滿ちている． 」
  2. 「彼らの 足は 血を 流すのに 速く，
  3. 彼らの 道には 破壞と 悲慘がある．
  4. また， 彼らは 平和の 道を 知らない． 」
  5. 「彼らの 目の 前には， 神に 對する 恐れがない． 」
 
  믿음으로 의롭게 됨(3:19-3:31)    
 
  1. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
  2. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
  3. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
  4. Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
  5. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
  1. さて， 私たちは， 律法の 言うことはみな， 律法の 下にある 人¿に 對して 言われていることを 知っています． それは， すべての 口がふさがれて， 全世界が 神のさばきに 服するためです．
  2. なぜなら， 律法を 行なうことによっては， だれひとり 神の 前に 義と 認められないからです． 律法によっては， かえって 罪の 意識が 生じるのです．
  3. しかし， 今は， 律法とは 別に， しかも 律法と 預言者によってあかしされて， 神の 義が 示されました．
  4. すなわち， イエス · キリスト を 信じる 信仰による 神の 義であって， それはすべての 信じる 人に 與えられ， 何の 差別もありません．
  5. すべての 人は， 罪を 犯したので， 神からの 榮譽を 受けることができず，
  1. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
  2. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
  3. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
  4. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
  5. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
  1. ただ， 神の 惠みにより， キリスト · イエス による ·いのゆえに， 價なしに 義と 認められるのです．
  2. 神は， キリスト · イエス を， その 血による， また 信仰による， なだめの 供え 物として， 公にお 示しになりました． それは， ご 自身の 義を 現わすためです． というのは， 今までに 犯されて 來た 罪を 神の 忍耐をもって 見のがして 來られたからです．
  3. それは， 今の 時にご 自身の 義を 現わすためであり， こうして 神ご 自身が 義であり， また， イエス を 信じる 者を 義とお 認めになるためなのです．
  4. それでは， 私たちの 誇りはどこにあるのでしょうか． それはすでに 取り 除かれました． どういう 原理によってでしょうか． 行ないの 原理によってでしょうか． そうではなく， 信仰の 原理によってです．
  5. 人が 義と 認められるのは， 律法の 行ないによるのではなく， 信仰によるというのが， 私たちの 考えです．
  1. Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
  2. Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
  3. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
  1. それとも， 神は ユダヤ 人だけの 神でしょうか． 異邦人にとっても 神ではないのでしょうか． 確かに 神は， 異邦人にとっても， 神です．
  2. 神が 唯一ならばそうです． この 神は， 割禮のある 者を 信仰によって 義と 認めてくださるとともに， 割禮のない 者をも， 信仰によって 義と 認めてくださるのです．
  3. それでは， 私たちは 信仰によって 律法を 無效にすることになるのでしょうか． 絶對にそんなことはありません． かえって， 律法を 確立することになるのです．
