- Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
- I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
- The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
- For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
- Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

- ですから， 私の 愛する 者たちよ． 偶像禮拜を 避けなさい．
- 私は 賢い 人たちに 話すように 話します． ですから 私の 言うことを 判斷してください．

- 肉による イスラエル のことを 考えてみなさい． 供え 物を 食べる 者は， 祭壇にあずかるではありませんか．

- What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
- But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
- Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
- Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
- All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

- 私は 何を 言おうとしているのでしょう． 偶像の 神にささげた 肉に， 何か 意味があるとか， 偶像の 神に 眞實な 意味があるとか， 言おうとしているのでしょうか．
- いや， 彼らのささげる 物は， 神にではなくて 惡靈にささげられている， と 言っているのです． 私は， あなたがたに 惡靈と 交わる 者になってもらいたくありません．
- あなたがたが 主の 杯を 飮んだうえ， さらに 惡靈の 杯を 飮むことは， できないことです． 主の 食卓にあずかったうえ， さらに 惡靈の 食卓にあずかることはできないことです．
- それとも， 私たちは 主のねたみを 引き 起こそうとするのですか． まさか， 私たちが 主よりも 强いことはないでしょう．
- すべてのことは， してもよいのです． しかし， すべてのことが 有益とはかぎりません． すべてのことは， してもよいのです． しかし， すべてのことが 德を 高めるとはかぎりません．

- Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
- Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
- For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
- If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
- But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:

- だれでも， 自分の 利益を 求めないで， 他人の 利益を 心がけなさい．
- 市場に 賣っている 肉は， 良心の 問題として 調べ 上げることはしないで， どれでも 食べなさい．
- 地とそれに 滿ちているものは， 主のものだからです．
- もし， あなたがたが 信仰のない 者に 招待されて， 行きたいと 思うときは， 良心の 問題として 調べ 上げることはしないで， 自分の 前に 置かれる 物はどれでも 食べなさい．
- しかし， もしだれかが， 「これは 偶像にささげた 肉です． 」とあなたがたに 言うなら， そう 知らせた 人のために， また 良心のために， 食べてはいけません．

- Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?
- For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
- Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
- Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
- Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

- 私が 良心と 言うのは， あなたの 良心ではなく， ほかの 人の 良心です． 私の 自由が， 他の 人の 良心によってさばかれるわけがあるでしょうか．
- もし， 私が 神に 感謝をささげて 食べるなら， 私が 感謝する 物のために， そしられるわけがあるでしょうか．
- こういうわけで， あなたがたは， 食べるにも， 飮むにも， 何をするにも， ただ 神の 榮光を 現わすためにしなさい．
- ユダヤ 人にも， ギリシヤ 人にも， 神の 敎會にも， つまずきを 與えないようにしなさい．
- 私も， 人¿が 救われるために， 自分の 利益を 求めず， 多くの 人の 利益を 求め， どんなことでも， みなの 人を 喜ばせているのですから．
