- Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
- Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
- That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
- And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

- 子どもたちよ． 主にあって 兩親に 從いなさい． これは 正しいことだからです．
- 「あなたの 父と 母を 敬え． 」これは 第一の 戒めであり， 約束を 伴ったものです． すなわち，
- 「そうしたら， あなたはしあわせになり， 地上で 長生きする． 」という 約束です．
- 父たちよ． あなたがたも， 子どもをおこらせてはいけません． かえって， 主の 敎育と 訓戒によって 育てなさい．
- 奴隷たちよ． あなたがたは， キリスト に 從うように， 恐れおののいて 眞心から 地上の 主人に 從いなさい．

- Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
- With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
- Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
- And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
- Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

- 人のごきげんとりのような， うわべだけの 仕え 方でなく， キリスト のしもべとして， 心から 神のみこころを 行ない，
- 人にではなく， 主に 仕えるように， 善意をもって 仕えなさい．
- 良いことを 行なえば， 奴隷であっても 自由人であっても， それぞれその 報いを 主から 受けることをあなたがたは 知っています．
- 主人たちよ． あなたがたも， 奴隷に 對して 同じようにふるまいなさい． おどすことはやめなさい． あなたがたは， 彼らとあなたがたとの 主が 天におられ， 主は 人を 差別されることがないことを 知っているのですから．
- 終わりに 言います． 主にあって， その 大能の 力によって 强められなさい．

- Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
- For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
- And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

- 惡魔の 策略に 對して 立ち 向かうことができるために， 神のすべての 武具を 身に 着けなさい．
- 私たちの 格鬪は 血肉に 對するものではなく， 主權， 力， この 暗やみの 世界の 支配者たち， また， 天にいるもろもろの 惡靈に 對するものです．
- ですから， 邪惡な 日に 際して 對抗できるように， また， いっさいを 成し 遂げて， 堅く 立つことができるように， 神のすべての 武具をとりなさい．
- では， しっかりと 立ちなさい． 腰には 眞理の 帶を 締め， 胸には 正義の 胸當てを 着け，
- 足には 平和の 福音の 備えをはきなさい．

- Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
- Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
- And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
- For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

- これらすべてのものの 上に， 信仰の 大盾を 取りなさい． それによって， 惡い 者が 放つ 火矢を， みな 消すことができます．
- 救いのかぶとをかぶり， また 御靈の 與える 劍である， 神のことばを 受け 取りなさい．
- すべての 祈りと 願いを 用いて， どんなときにも 御靈によって 祈りなさい． そのためには 絶えず 目をさましていて， すべての 聖徒のために， 忍耐の 限りを 盡くし， また 祈りなさい．
- また， 私が 口を 開くとき， 語るべきことばが 與えられ， 福音の 奧義を 大膽に 知らせることができるように 私のためにも 祈ってください．
- 私は 鎖につながれて， 福音のために 大使の 役を 果たしています． 鎖につながれていても， 語るべきことを 大膽に 語れるように， 祈ってください．

- But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
- Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
- Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
