- My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
- If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
- Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
- We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
- Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:

- わが 子よ． 罪人たちがあなたを 惑わしても， 彼らに 從ってはならない．
- もしも， 彼らがこう 言っても． 「いっしょに 來い． われわれは 人の 血を 流すために 待ち 伏せし， 罪のない 者を， 理由もなく， こっそりねらい，
- よみのように， 彼らを 生きたままで， のみこみ， 墓に 下る 者のように， 彼らをそのまま 丸のみにしよう．
- あらゆる 寶物を 見つけ 出し， 分捕り 物で， われわれの 家を 滿たそう．
- おまえも， われわれの 間でくじを 引き， われわれみなで 一つの 財布を 持とう． 」
