- Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
- For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
- How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
- God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
- For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

- ですから， 私たちは 聞いたことを， ますますしっかり 心に 留めて， 押し 流されないようにしなければなりません．
- もし， 御使いたちを 通して 語られたみことばでさえ， 堅く 立てられて 動くことがなく， すべての 違反と 不從順が 當然の 處罰を 受けたとすれば，
- 私たちがこんなにすばらしい 救いをないがしろにしたばあい， どうしてのがれることができましょう． この 救いは 最初主によって 語られ， それを 聞いた 人たちが， 確かなものとしてこれを 私たちに 示し，
- そのうえ 神も， しるしと 不思議とさまざまの 力あるわざにより， また， みこころに 從って 聖靈が 分け 與えてくださる 賜物によってあかしされました．
- 神は， 私たちがいま 話している 後の 世を， 御使いたちに 從わせることはなさらなかったのです．

- But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?
- Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
- Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
- But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
- For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

- むしろ， ある 個所で， ある 人がこうあかししています． 「人間が 何者だというので， これをみこころに 留められるのでしょう． 人の 子が 何者だというので， これを 顧みられるのでしょう．
- あなたは， 彼を， 御使いよりも， しばらくの 間， 低いものとし， 彼に 榮光と 譽れの 冠を 與え，
- 万物をその 足の 下に 從わせられました． 」万物を 彼に 從わせたとき， 神は， 彼に 從わないものを 何一つ 殘されなかったのです． それなのに， 今でもなお， 私たちはすべてのものが 人間に 從わせられているのを 見てはいません．
- ただ， 御使いよりも， しばらくの 間， 低くされた 方である イエス のことは 見ています． イエス は， 死の 苦しみのゆえに， 榮光と 譽れの 冠をお 受けになりました． その 死は， 神の 惠みによって， すべての 人のために 味わわれたものです．
- 神が 多くの 子たちを 榮光に 導くのに， 彼らの 救いの 創始者を， 多くの 苦しみを 通して 全うされたということは， 万物の 存在の 目的であり， また 原因でもある 方として， ふさわしいことであったのです．

- For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
- Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
- And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
- Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
- And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

- 聖とする 方も， 聖とされる 者たちも， すべて 元は 一つです． それで， 主は 彼らを 兄弟と 呼ぶことを 恥としないで， こう 言われます．
- 「わたしは 御名を， わたしの 兄弟たちに 告げよう． 敎會の 中で， わたしはあなたを 贊美しよう． 」
- またさらに， 「わたしは 彼に 信賴する． 」またさらに， 「見よ， わたしと， 神がわたしに 賜わった 子たちは． 」と 言われます．
- そこで， 子たちはみな 血と 肉とを 持っているので， 主もまた 同じように， これらのものをお 持ちになりました． これは， その 死によって， 惡魔という， 死の 力を 持つ 者を 滅ぼし，
- 一生涯死の 恐怖につながれて 奴隷となっていた 人¿を 解放してくださるためでした．

- For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
- Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
- For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

- 主は 御使いたちを 助けるのではなく， 確かに， アブラハム の 子孫を 助けてくださるのです．
- そういうわけで， 神のことについて， あわれみ 深い， 忠實な 大祭司となるため， 主はすべての 点で 兄弟たちと 同じようにならなければなりませんでした． それは 民の 罪のために， なだめがなされるためなのです．
- 主は， ご 自身が 試みを 受けて 苦しまれたので， 試みられている 者たちを 助けることがおできになるのです．
