- Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
- Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.
- There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.
- Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;
- Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.

- レバノン よ． おまえの 門をあけよ． 火が， おまえの 杉の 木を 燒き 盡くそう．
- もみの 木よ． 泣きわめけ． 杉の 木は 倒れ， みごとな 木¿が 荒らされたからだ． バシャン の ¿の 木よ． 泣きわめけ． 深い 森が 倒れたからだ．
- 聞け． 牧者たちの 嘆きを． 彼らのみごとな 木¿が 荒らされたからだ． 聞け． 若い 獅子のほえる 聲を． ヨルダン の 茂みが 荒らされたからだ．
- 私の 神， 主は， こう 仰せられる． 「ほふるための 羊の 群れを 養え．
- これを 買った 者が， これをほふっても， 罪にならない． これを 賣る 者は， 『主はほむべきかな． 私も 富みますように． 』と 言っている． その 牧者たちは， これを 惜しまない．

- For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.
- And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
- Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.
- Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
- And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.

- わたしが， もう， この 地の 住民を 惜しまないからだ． ··主の 御告げ． ··見よ． わたしは， 人をそれぞれ 隣人の 手に 渡し， 王の 手に 渡す． 彼らはこの 地を 打ち ¿くが， わたしは 彼らの 手からこれを 救い 出さない． 」
- 私は 羊の 商人たちのために， ほふられる 羊の 群れを 飼った． 私は 二本の 杖を 取り， 一本を「慈愛 」と 名づけ， 他の 一本を， 「結合 」と 名づけた． こうして， 私は 群れを 飼った．
- 私は 一月のうちに 三人の 牧者を 消し 去った． 私の 心は， 彼らにがまんできなくなり， 彼らの 心も， 私をいやがった．
- 私は 言った． 「私はもう， あなたがたを 飼わない． 死にたい 者は 死ね． 隱されたい 者は 隱されよ． 殘りの 者は， 互いに 相手の 肉を 食べるがよい． 」
- 私は， 私の 杖， 慈愛の 杖を 取り 上げ， それを 折った． 私がすべての 民と 結んだ 私の 契約を 破るためである．

- And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
- And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
- And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
- Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
- And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

- その 日， それは 破られた． そのとき， 私を 見守っていた 羊の 商人たちは， それが 主のことばであったことを 知った．
- 私は 彼らに 言った． 「あなたがたがよいと 思うなら， 私に 賃金を 拂いなさい． もし， そうでないなら， やめなさい． 」すると 彼らは， 私の 賃金として， 銀三十 シェケル を 量った．
- 主は 私に 仰せられた． 「彼らによってわたしが 値積もりされた 尊い 價を， 陶器師に 投げ 與えよ． 」そこで， 私は 銀三十を 取り， それを 主の 宮の 陶器師に 投げ 與えた．
- そして 私は， 結合という 私のもう 一本の 杖を 折った． これは ユダ と イスラエル との 間の 兄弟關係を 破るためであった．
- 主は 私に 仰せられた． 「あなたは， もう 一度， 愚かな 牧者の 道具を 取れ．

- For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
- Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.

- 見よ． わたしはひとりの 牧者をこの 地に 起こすから． 彼は 迷い 出たものを 尋ねず， 散らされたものを 搜さず， 傷ついたものをいやさず， 飢えているものに 食べ 物を 與えない． かえって 肥えた ¿の 肉を 食らい， そのひづめを 裂く．
- ああ． 羊の 群れを 見捨てる， 能なしの 牧者． 劍がその 腕とその 右の 目を 打ち， その 腕はなえ， その 右の 目は 視力が 衰える． 」
