	출애굽기 9:1-10:29 모세는 바로 앞에서 악질, 독종, 우박, 메뚜기, 그리고 흑암 재앙을 행하였다. 그러나 마음이 완강한 바로는 이에 굴하기는커녕 오히려 모세를 위협하였다. 바로가 완강히 고집을 굽히지 않고 모세를 대적한 것은 하나님께서 권능을 행하심으로써 자신이 야웨 되심을 나타내시기 위해 바로의 마음을 내버려 두셨기 때문이었다.

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,

Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.

And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

主はモ ― セに言われた，「パロのもとに行って，彼に言いなさい，『ヘブルびとの神，主はこう仰せられる，「わたしの民を去らせて，わたしに仕えさせなさい．

あなたがもし彼らを去らせることを拒んで，なお彼らを留めおくならば，

主の手は最も激しい疫病をもって，野にいるあなたの家畜，すなわち馬，ろば，らくだ，牛，羊の上に臨むであろう．

しかし，主はイスラエルの家畜と，エジプトの家畜を區別され，すべてイスラエルの人¿に屬するものには一頭も死ぬものがないであろう」と』」．

主は，また，時を定めて仰せられた，「あす，主はこのことを國に行うであろう」．

And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

あくる日，主はこのことを行われたので，エジプトびとの家畜はみな死んだ．しかし，イスラエルの人¿の家畜は一頭も死ななかった．

パロは人をつかわして見させたが，イスラエルの家畜は一頭も死んでいなかった．それでもパロの心はかたくなで，民を去らせなかった．

主はモ ― セとアロンに言われた，「あなたがたは，かまどのすすを兩手いっぱい取り，それをモ ― セはパロの目の前で天にむかって，まき散らしなさい．

それはエジプトの全國にわたって，細かいちりとなり，エジプト全國で人と ¿に付いて，うみの出るはれものとなるであろう」．

そこで彼らは，かまどのすすを取ってパロの前に立ち，モ ― セは天にむかってこれをまき散らしたので，人と ¿に付いて，うみの出るはれものとなった．

And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

魔術師らは，はれもののためにモ ― セの前に立つことができなかった．はれものが魔術師らと，すべてのエジプトびとに生じたからである．

しかし，主はパロの心をかたくなにされたので，彼は主がモ ― セに語られたように，彼らの言うことを聞かなかった．

主はまたモ ― セに言われた，「朝早く起き，パロの前に立って，彼に言いなさい，『ヘブルびとの神，主はこう仰せられる，「わたしの民を去らせて，わたしに仕えさせなさい．

わたしは，こんどは，もろもろの災を，あなたと，あなたの家來と，あなたの民にくだし，わたしに ¿ぶものが全地にないことを知らせるであろう．

わたしがもし，手をさし伸べ，疫病をもって，あなたと，あなたの民を打っていたならば，あなたは地から斷ち滅ぼされていたであろう．

And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

しかし，わたしがあなたをながらえさせたのは，あなたにわたしの力を見させるため，そして，わたしの名が全地に宣べ傳えられるためにほかならない．

それに，あなたはなお，わたしの民にむかって，おのれを高くし，彼らを去らせようとしない．

ゆえに，あすの今ごろ，わたしは恐ろしく大きな音を降らせるであろう．それはエジプトの國が始まった日から今まで，かつてなかったほどのものである．

それゆえ，いま，人をやって，あなたの家畜と，あなたが野にもっているすべてのものを，のがれさせなさい．人も ¿も，すべて野にあって家に歸らないものは降る音に打たれて死ぬであろう」と』」．

パロの家來のうち，主の言葉をおそれる者は，そのしもべと家畜を家にのがれさせたが，

And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

主の言葉を意にとめないものは，そのしもべと家畜を野に殘しておいた．

主はモ ― セに言われた，「あなたの手を天にむかってさし伸べ，エジプトの全國にわたって，エジプトの地にいる人と ¿と畑のすべての靑物の上に音を降らせなさい」．

モ ― セが天にむかってつえをさし伸べると，主は雷と音をおくられ，火は地にむかって，はせ下った．こうして主は，音をエジプトの地に降らされた．

そして音が降り，音の間に火がひらめき渡った．音は恐ろしく大きく，エジプト全國には，國をなしてこのかた，かつてないものであった．

音はエジプト全國にわたって，すべて畑にいる人と ¿を打った．音はまた畑のすべての靑物を打ち，野のもろもろの木を折り ¿いた．

Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.

But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.

ただイスラエルの人¿のいたゴセンの地には，音が降らなかった．

そこで，パロは人をつかわし，モ ― セとアロンを召して言った，「わたしはこんどは罪を犯した．主は正しく，わたしと，わたしの民は惡い．

主に祈願してください．この雷と音はもうじゅうぶんです．わたしはあなたがたを去らせます．もはやとどまらなくてもよろしい」．

モ ― セは彼に言った，「わたしは町を出ると，すぐ，主にむかってわたしの手を伸べひろげます．すると雷はやみ，音はもはや降らなくなり，あなたは，地が主のものであることを知られましょう．

しかし，あなたとあなたの家來たちは，なお，神なる主を恐れないことを，わたしは知っています」．

And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

――亞麻と大麥は打ち倒された．大麥は穗を出し，亞麻は花が ¿いていたからである．

小麥とスペルタ麥はおくてであるため打ち倒されなかった． ――

モ ― セはパロのもとを去り，町を出て，主にむかって手を伸べひろげたので，雷と音はやみ，雨は地に降らなくなった．

ところがパロは雨と音と雷がやんだのを見て，またも罪を犯し，心をかたくなにした．彼も家來も，そうであった．

すなわちパロは心をかたくなにし，主がモ ― セによって語られたように，イスラエルの人¿を去らせなかった．

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:

And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:

And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:

そこで，主はモ ― セに言われた，「パロのもとに行きなさい．わたしは彼の心とその家來たちの心をかたくなにした．これは，わたしがこれらのしるしを，彼らの中に行うためである．

また，わたしがエジプトびとをあしらったこと，また彼らの中にわたしが行ったしるしを，あなたがたが，子や孫の耳に語り傳えるためである．そしてあなたがたは，わたしが主であることを知るであろう」．

モ ― セとアロンはパロのもとに行って彼に言った，「ヘブルびとの神，主はこう仰せられる，『いつまで，あなたは，わたしに屈伏することを拒むのですか．民を去らせて，わたしに仕えさせなさい．

もし，わたしの民を去らせることを拒むならば，見よ，あす，わたしはいなごを，あなたの領土にはいらせるであろう．

それは地のおもてをおおい，人が地を見ることもできないほどになるであろう．そして音を免れて，殘されているものを食い盡し，野にはえているあなたがたの木をみな食い盡すであろう．

And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?

And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?

And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.

And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

またそれはあなたの家とあなたのすべての家來の家，および，すべてのエジプトびとの家に滿ちるであろう．このようなことは，あなたの父たちも，また，祖父たちも，彼らが地上にあった日から今日に至るまで，かつて見たことのないものである』と」．そして彼は身をめぐらして，パロのもとを出て行った．

パロの家來たちは王に言った，「いつまで，この人はわれわれのわなとなるのでしょう．この人¿を去らせ，彼らの神なる主に仕えさせては，どうでしょう．エジプトが滅びてしまうことに，まだ氣づかれないのですか」．

そこで，モ ― セとアロンは，また，パロのもとに召し出された．パロは彼らに言った，「行って，あなたがたの神，主に仕えなさい．しかし，行くものはだれだれか」．

モ ― セは言った，「わたしたちは幼い者も，老いた者も行きます．むすこも娘も携え，羊も牛も連れて行きます．わたしたちは主の祭を執り行わなければならないのですから」．

パロは彼らに言った，「万一，わたしが，あなたがたに子供を連れてまで去らせるようなことがあれば，主があなたがたと共にいますがよい．あなたがたは惡いたくらみをしている．

Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.

And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

And the locust went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

それはいけない．あなたがたは男だけ行って主に仕えるがよい．それが，あなたがたの要求であった」．彼らは，ついにパロの前から追い出された．

主はモ ― セに言われた，「あなたの手をエジプトの地の上にさし伸べて，エジプトの地にいなごをのぼらせ，地のすべての靑物，すなわち，音が打ち殘したものを，ことごとく食べさせなさい」．

そこでモ ― セはエジプトの地の上に，つえをさし伸べたので，主は終日，終夜，東風を地に吹かせられた．朝となって，東風は，いなごを運んできた．

いなごはエジプト全國にのぞみ，エジプトの全領土にとどまり，その數がはなはだ多く，このようないなごは前にもなく，また後にもないであろう．

いなごは地の全面をおおったので，地は暗くなった．そして地のすべての靑物と，音の打ち殘した木の實を，ことごとく食べたので，エジプト全國にわたって，木にも畑の靑物にも，綠の物とては何も殘らなかった．

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.

Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.

And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.

And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

そこで，パロは，急いでモ ― セとアロンを召して言った，「わたしは，あなたがたの神，主に對し，また，あなたがたに對して罪を犯しました．

それで，どうか，もう一度だけ，わたしの罪をゆるしてください．そしてあなたがたの神，主に祈願して，ただ，この死をわたしから離れさせてください」．

そこで彼はパロのところから出て，主に祈願したので，

主は，はなはだ强い西風に變らせ，いなごを吹き上げて，これを紅海に追いやられたので，エジプト全土には一つのいなごも殘らなかった．

しかし，主がパロの心をかたくなにされたので，彼はイスラエルの人¿を去らせなかった．

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

主はまたモ ― セに言われた，「天にむかってあなたの手をさし伸べ，エジプトの國に，くらやみをこさせなさい．そのくらやみは，さわれるほどである」．

モ ― セが天にむかって手をさし伸べたので，濃いくらやみは，エジプト全國に臨み三日に及んだ．

三日の間，人¿は互に見ることもできず，まただれもその所から立つ者もなかった．しかし，イスラエルの人¿には，みな，その住む所に光があった．

そこでパロはモ ― セを召して言った，「あなたがたは行って主に仕えなさい．あなたがたの子供も連れて行ってもよろしい．ただ，あなたがたの羊と牛は殘して置きなさい」．

しかし，モ ― セは言った，「あなたは，また，わたしたちの神，主にささげる ¿牲と §祭の物をも，わたしたちにくださらなければなりません．

Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.

And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.

And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.

わたしたちは家畜も連れて行きます．ひずめ一つも殘しません．わたしたちは，そのうちから取って，わたしたちの神，主に仕えねばなりません．またわたしたちは，その場所に行くまでは，何をもって，主に仕えるべきかを知らないからです」．

けれども，主がパロの心をかたくなにされたので，パロは彼らを去らせようとしなかった．

それでパロはモ ― セに言った，「わたしの所から去りなさい．心して，わたしの顔は二度と見てはならない．わたしの顔を見る日には，あなたの命はないであろう」．

モ ― セは言った，「よくぞ仰せられました．わたしは，二度と，あなたの顔を見ないでしょう」．
