- And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
- And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
- Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
- And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
- And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

- イエス はまたも， 海べで 敎えはじめられた． おびただしい 群衆がみもとに 集まったので， イエス は 舟に 乘ってすわったまま， 海上におられ， 群衆はみな 海に 沿って 陸地にいた．
- イエス は ·で 多くの 事を 敎えられたが， その 敎の 中で 彼らにこう 言われた，
- 「聞きなさい， 種まきが 種をまきに 出て 行った．
- まいているうちに， 道ばたに 落ちた 種があった． すると， 鳥がきて 食べてしまった．
- ほかの 種は 土の 薄い 石地に 落ちた． そこは 土が 深くないので， すぐ 芽を 出したが，

- But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
- And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
- And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
- And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
- And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.

- 日が 上ると 燒けて， 根がないために 枯れてしまった．
- ほかの 種はいばらの 中に 落ちた． すると， いばらが 伸びて， ふさいでしまったので， 實を 結ばなかった．
- ほかの 種は 良い 地に 落ちた． そしてはえて， 育って， ますます 實を 結び， 三十倍， 六十倍， 百倍にもなった 」．
- そして 言われた， 「聞く 耳のある 者は 聞くがよい 」．
- イエス がひとりになられた 時， そばにいた 者たちが， 十二弟子と 共に， これらの ·について 尋ねた．

- And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
- That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
- And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
- The sower soweth the word.
- And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

- そこで イエス は 言われた， 「あなたがたには 神の 國の 奧義が 授けられているが， ほかの 者たちには， すべてが ·で 語られる．
- それは ／『彼らは 見るには 見るが， 認めず， 聞くには 聞くが， 悟らず， 悔い 改めてゆるされることがない 』ためである 」．
- また 彼らに 言われた， 「あなたがたはこの ·がわからないのか． それでは， どうしてすべての ·がわかるだろうか．
- 種まきは 御言をまくのである．
- 道ばたに 御言がまかれたとは， こういう 人たちのことである． すなわち， 御言を 聞くと， すぐに サタン がきて， 彼らの 中にまかれた 御言を， 奪って 行くのである．

- And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
- And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
- And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
- And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
- And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

- 同じように， 石地にまかれたものとは， こういう 人たちのことである． 御言を 聞くと， すぐに 喜んで 受けるが，
- 自分の 中に 根がないので， しばらく 續くだけである． そののち， 御言のために 困難や 迫害が 起ってくると， すぐつまずいてしまう．
- また， いばらの 中にまかれたものとは， こういう 人たちのことである． 御言を 聞くが，
- 世の 心づかいと， 富の 惑わしと， その 他いろいろな 欲とがはいってきて， 御言をふさぐので， 實を 結ばなくなる．
- また， 良い 地にまかれたものとは， こういう 人たちのことである． 御言を 聞いて 受けいれ， 三十倍， 六十倍， 百倍の 實を 結ぶのである 」．

- And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
- For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
- If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
- And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
- For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

- また 彼らに 言われた， 「ますの 下や 寢台の 下に 置くために， あかりを 持ってくることがあろうか． 燭台の 上に 置くためではないか．
- なんでも， 隱されているもので， 現れないものはなく， 秘密にされているもので， 明るみに 出ないものはない．
- 聞く 耳のある 者は 聞くがよい 」．
- また 彼らに 言われた， 「聞くことがらに 注意しなさい． あなたがたの 量るそのはかりで， 自分にも 量り 與えられ， その 上になお 增し 加えられるであろう．
- だれでも， 持っている 人は 更に 與えられ， 持っていない 人は， 持っているものまでも 取り 上げられるであろう 」．

- And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
- And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
- For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
- But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
- And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?

- また 言われた， 「神の 國は， ある 人が 地に 種をまくようなものである．
- 夜¿， 寢起きしている 間に， 種は 芽を 出して 育って 行くが， どうしてそうなるのか， その 人は 知らない．
- 地はおのずから 實を 結ばせるもので， 初めに 芽， つぎに 穗， つぎに 穗の 中に 豊かな 實ができる．
- 實がいると， すぐにかまを 入れる． 刈入れ 時がきたからである 」．
- また 言われた， 「神の 國を 何に 比べようか． また， どんな ·で 言いあらわそうか．

- It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
- But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
- And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
- But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

- それは 一粒のからし 種のようなものである． 地にまかれる 時には， 地上のどんな 種よりも 小さいが，
- まかれると， 成長してどんな 野菜よりも 大きくなり， 大きな 枝を 張り， その 陰に 空の 鳥が 宿るほどになる 」．
- イエス はこのような 多くの ·で， 人¿の 聞く 力にしたがって， 御言を 語られた．
- ·によらないでは 語られなかったが， 自分の 弟子たちには， ひそかにすべてのことを 解き 明かされた．
