- And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
- And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
- Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
- But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
- And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.

- イエス はそこを 去って， 鄕里に 行かれたが， 弟子たちも 從って 行った．
- そして， 安息日になったので， 會堂で 敎えはじめられた． それを 聞いた 多くの 人¿は， 驚いて 言った， 「この 人は， これらのことをどこで 習ってきたのか． また， この 人の 授かった 知惠はどうだろう． このような 力あるわざがその 手で 行われているのは， どうしてか．
- この 人は 大工ではないか． マリヤ のむすこで， ヤコブ ， ヨセ ， ユダ ， シモン の 兄弟ではないか． またその 姉妹たちも， ここにわたしたちと 一緖にいるではないか 」． こうして 彼らは イエス につまずいた．
- イエス は 言われた， 「預言者は， 自分の 鄕里， 親族， 家以外では， どこででも 敬われないことはない 」．
- そして， そこでは 力あるわざを 一つもすることができず， ただ 少數の 病人に 手をおいていやされただけであった．

- And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
- And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
- And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:
- But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.
- And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

- そして， 彼らの 不信仰を 驚き 怪しまれた． それから イエス は， 附近の 村¿を 巡りあるいて 敎えられた．
- また 十二弟子を 呼び 寄せ， ふたりずつつかわすことにして， 彼らにけがれた 靈を 制する 權威を 與え，
- また 旅のために， つえ 一本のほかには 何も 持たないように， パン も， 袋も， 帶の 中に 錢も 持たず，
- ただわらじをはくだけで， 下着も 二枚は 着ないように 命じられた．
- そして 彼らに 言われた， 「どこへ 行っても， 家にはいったなら， その 土地を 去るまでは， そこにとどまっていなさい．

- And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
- And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
- And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

- また， あなたがたを 迎えず， あなたがたの 話を 聞きもしない 所があったなら， そこから 出て 行くとき， 彼らに 對する 抗議のしるしに， 足の 裏のちりを 拂い 落しなさい 」．
- そこで， 彼らは 出て 行って， 悔改めを 宣べ 傳え，
- 多くの 惡靈を 追い 出し， 大ぜいの 病人に 油をぬっていやした．
