- Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
- Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.
- Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
- Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.
- Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

- 主よ， わたしと 爭う 者とあらそい， わたしと 戰う 者と 戰ってください．
- 盾と 大盾とを 執って， わたしを 助けるために 立ちあがってください．
- やりと 投げやりとを 拔いて， わたしに 追い 迫る 者に 立ちむかい， 「わたしはおまえの 救である 」と， わたしに 言ってください．
- どうか， わたしの 命を 求める 者を ／はずかしめ， いやしめ， わたしにむかって 惡をたくらむ 者を 退け， あわてふためかせてください．
- 彼らを 風の 前のもみがらのようにし， 主の 使に 彼らを 追いやらせてください．
