- Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
- The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
- The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

- 貧しい 者をかえりみる 人はさいわいである． 主はそのような 人を 惱みの 日に 救い 出される．
- 主は 彼を 守って， 生きながらえさせられる． 彼はこの 地にあって， さいわいな 者と 呼ばれる． あなたは 彼をその 敵の 欲望にわたされない．
- 主は 彼をその 病の 床でささえられる． あなたは 彼の 病む 時， その 病をことごとくいやされる．
- わたしは 言った， 「主よ， わたしをあわれみ， わたしをいやしてください． わたしはあなたにむかって 罪を 犯しました 」と．
- わたしの 敵はわたしをそしって 言う， 「いつ 彼は 死に， その 名がほろびるであろうか 」と．

- And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
- All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
- An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.

- そのひとりがわたしを 見ようとして 來るとき， 彼は 僞りを 語り， その 心によこしまを 集め， 外に 出てはそれを 言いふらす．
- すべてわたしを 憎む 者は ／わたしについて 共にささやき， わたしのために 災を 思いめぐらす．
- 彼らは 言う， 「彼に 一つのたたりがつきまとったから， 倒れ 伏して 再び 起きあがらないであろう 」と．

- By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
- And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
