민수기 24:1-25:18

 모압 왕 발락은 복술가 발람으로 하여금 이스라엘을 저주하게 하려고 했으나, 하나님의 신은 발람으로 하여금 오히려 이스라엘을 축복하도록 역사하셨다. 한편 모압 여자들과 음행하고 그들의 우상을 섬기기 시작한 이스라엘은 하나님의 진노와 징벌을 받음으로써 한 분 하나님만을 섬겨야 됨을 다시금 배우게 되었다.
  
  발람의 예언(24:1-24:25)    
 
  1. And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
  2. And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
  3. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
  4. He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
  5. How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
  1. バラム は イスラエル を 祝福することが 主の 心にかなうのを 見たので， 今度はいつものように 行って 魔術を 求めることをせず， 顔を 荒野にむけ，
  2. 目を 上げて， イスラエル がそれぞれ 部族にしたがって 宿營しているのを 見た． その 時， 神の 靈が 臨んだので，
  3. 彼はこの 託宣を 述べた． 「ベオル の 子 バラム の 言葉， ／目を 閉じた 人の 言葉，
  4. 神の 言葉を 聞く 者， ／全能者の 幻を 見る 者， ／倒れ 伏して， 目の 開かれた 者の 言葉．
  5. ヤコブ よ， あなたの 天幕は 麗しい， ／ イスラエル よ， あなたのすまいは， 麗しい．
  1. As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
  2. He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
  3. God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
  4. He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
  5. And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
  1. それは 遠くひろがる 谷¿のよう， ／川べの 園のよう， ／主が 植えられた 沈香樹のよう， ／流れのほとりの 香柏のようだ．
  2. 水は 彼らのかめからあふれ， ／彼らの 種は 水の 潤いに 育つであろう． 彼らの 王は アガグ よりも 高くなり， ／彼らの 國はあがめられるであろう．
  3. 神は 彼らを エジプト から 導き 出された， ／彼らは 野牛の 角のようだ． 彼らは 敵なる 國¿の 民を 滅ぼし， ／その 骨を ¿き， ／矢をもって 突き 通すであろう．
  4. 彼らは 雄じしのように 身をかがめ， ／雌じしのように 伏している． だれが 彼らを 起しえよう． あなたを 祝福する 者は 祝福され， ／あなたをのろう 者はのろわれるであろう 」．
  5. そこで バラク は バラム にむかって 怒りを 發し， 手を 打ち 鳴らした． そして バラク は バラム に 言った， 「敵をのろうために 招いたのに， あなたはかえって 三度までも 彼らを 祝福した．
  1. Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
  2. And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,
  3. If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
  4. And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
  5. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
  1. それで 今あなたは 急いで 自分のところへ 歸ってください． わたしはあなたを 大いに 優遇しようと 思った． しかし， 主はその 優遇をあなたに 得させないようにされました 」．
  2. バラム は バラク に 言った， 「わたしはあなたがつかわされた 使者たちに 言ったではありませんか，
  3. 『たとい バラク がその 家に 滿ちるほどの 金銀をわたしに 與えようとも， 主の 言葉を 越えて 心のままに 善も 惡も 行うことはできません． わたしは 主の 言われることを 述べるだけです 』．
  4. わたしは 今わたしの 民のところへ 歸って 行きます． それでわたしはこの 民が 後の 日にあなたの 民にどんなことをするかをお 知らせしましょう 」．
  5. そしてこの 託宣を 述べた． 「ベオル の 子 バラム の 言葉， ／目を 閉じた 人の 言葉．
  1. He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
  2. I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
  3. And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
  4. Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
  5. And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
  1. 神の 言葉を 聞く 者， ／いと 高き 者の 知識をもつ 者， ／全能者の 幻を 見， ／倒れ 伏して， 目の 開かれた 者の 言葉．
  2. わたしは 彼を 見る， しかし 今ではない． わたしは 彼を 望み 見る， しかし 近くではない． ヤコブ から 一つの 星が 出， ／ イスラエル から 一本のつえが 起り， ／ モアブ のこめかみと， ／ セツ のすべての 子らの 腦天を 擊つであろう．
  3. 敵の エドム は 領地となり， ／ セイル もまた 領地となるであろう． そして イスラエル は 勝利を 得るであろう．
  4. 權を 執る 者が ヤコブ から 出， ／生き 殘った 者を 町から 斷ち 滅ぼすであろう 」．
  5. バラム はまた アマレク を 望み 見て， この 託宣を 述べた． 「アマレク は 諸國民のうちの 最初のもの， ／しかし， ついに 滅び 去るであろう 」．
  1. And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
  2. Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
  3. And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!
  4. And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
  5. And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
  1. また ケニ びとを 望み 見てこの 託宣を 述べた． 「お 前のすみかは 堅固だ， ／岩に， お 前は 巢をつくっている．
  2. しかし， カイン は 滅ぼされるであろう． アシュル はいつまでお 前を 捕虜とするであろうか 」．
  3. 彼はまたこの 託宣を 述べた． 「ああ， 神が 定められた 以上， ／だれが 生き 延びることができよう．
  4. キッテム の 海岸から 舟がきて， ／ アシュル を 攻めなやまし， ／ エベル を 攻めなやますであろう． そして 彼もまたついに 滅び 去るであろう 」．
  5. こうして バラム は 立ち 上がって， 自分のところへ 歸っていった． バラク もまた 立ち 去った．
 
  이스라엘의 우상 숭배(25:1-25:18)    
 
  1. And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
  2. And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
  3. And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
  4. And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
  5. And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
  1. イスラエル は シッテム にとどまっていたが， 民は モアブ の 娘たちと， みだらな 事をし 始めた．
  2. その 娘たちが 神¿に ¿牲をささげる 時に 民を 招くと， 民は 一緖にそれを 食べ， 娘たちの 神¿を 拜んだ．
  3. イスラエル はこうして ペオル の バアル につきしたがったので， 主は イスラエル にむかって 怒りを 發せられた．
  4. そして 主は モ ― セ に 言われた， 「民の 首領をことごとく 捕え， 日のあるうちにその 人¿を 主の 前で 處刑しなさい． そうすれば 主の 怒りは イスラエル を 離れるであろう 」．
  5. モ ― セ は イスラエル のさばきびとたちにむかって 言った， 「あなたがたはおのおの， 配下の 者どもで ペオル の バアル につきしたがったものを 殺しなさい 」．
  1. And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
  2. And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
  3. And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
  4. And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
  5. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  1. モ ― セ と イスラエル の 人¿の 全會衆とが 會見の 幕屋の 入口で 泣いていた 時， 彼らの 目の 前で， ひとりの イスラエル びとが， その 兄弟たちの 中に， ひとりの ミデアン の 女を 連れてきた．
  2. 祭司 アロン の 子なる エレアザル の 子 ピネハス はこれを 見て， 會衆のうちから 立ち 上がり， やりを 手に 執り，
  3. その イスラエル の 人の 後を 追って， 奧の 間に 入り， その イスラエル の 人を 突き， またその 女の 腹を 突き 通して， ふたりを 殺した． こうして 疫病が イスラエル の 人¿に 及ぶのがやんだ．
  4. しかし， その 疫病で 死んだ 者は 二万四千人であった．
  5. 主は モ ― セ に 言われた，
  1. Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
  2. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
  3. And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
  4. Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.
  5. And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
  1. 「祭司 アロン の 子なる エレアザル の 子 ピネハス は 自分のことのように， わたしの 憤激を イスラエル の 人¿のうちに 表わし， わたしの 怒りをそのうちから 取り 去ったので， わたしは 憤激して， イスラエル の 人¿を 滅ぼすことをしなかった．
  2. このゆえにあなたは 言いなさい， 『わたしは 平和の 契約を 彼に 授ける．
  3. これは 彼とその 後の 子孫に 永遠の 祭司職の 契約となるであろう． 彼はその 神のために 熱心であって， イスラエル の 人¿のために 罪のあがないをしたからである 』と 」．
  4. ミデアン の 女と 共に 殺された イスラエル の 人の 名は ジムリ といい， サル の 子で， シメオン びとのうちの 一族のつかさであった．
  5. またその 殺された ミデアン の 女の 名は コズビ といい， ツル の 娘であった． ツル は ミデアン の 民の 一族のかしらであった．
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  2. Vex the Midianites, and smite them:
  3. For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake.
  1. 主はまた モ ― セ に 言われた，
  2. 「ミデアン びとを 打ち 惱ましなさい．
  3. 彼らはたくらみをもって， あなたがたを 惱まし， ペオル の 事と， 彼らの 姉妹， ミデアン のつかさの 娘 コズビ ， すなわち ペオル の 事により， 疫病の 起った 日に 殺された 女の 事とによって， あなたがたを 惑わしたからである 」．
 
  쇠미(衰微, 24:22)  점차 소멸되어 감
